9 Help me wipe it

Finally, after two hours, Felicity got her fill and they left the rides to look for Raymond, they later find him sitting in one of the café's reading a magazine and sipping hot latte. Morris sighed and almost vomited out of anger, he was the one that suggested an amusement park and he has to be the one to suffer while he went enjoying himself with a cup of latte. After throwing all his grievances in his heart, he still took Felicity to go meet Raymond inside the shop.

Raymond looked up when the door opened as if knowing it was them. He chuckled when he saw Morris sweat drenched face and smiled when he saw Felicity's happy one which was smeared with ice cream "had a lot of fun?"

Felicity nodded like a chicken who was picking up grains on the ground before sitting on a chair opposite him "it's been a long time I visited the amusement park" she said in a tired but cheerful voice.

Raymond looked at Morris who was dabbing at his forehead while taking a seat and he felt like laughing before he heard what Felicity said, he looked at her immediately with a raised eyebrow "your aunty doesn't take you often?"

"She use to but not always. She promised me she will take me last week Saturday but had to cancel because of you" she picked up his cup and sipped his coffee.

Raymond was first surprised at what she said but shocked when she sipped from his cup, how could she do that? Talk about a man like him who is obsessed with cleanliness, he pushed the cup closer to her then and signaled for the waiter before asking "why is it because of me?"

Felicity unaware that the cup has been rejected happily picked it up with both hands and gulped down the remaining coffee, she dropped the cup on the table with a belch and cleaned her mouth with the back of her hand before answering "it was the day she told me that she did something in the office and you found out and was angry with her."

Raymond tried to pay less attention with the unclean way she acts and asked "did she say what she did?"

Felicity shook her head "she only said she did something and can only be forgiven if I marry you for a year" she looked at the waiter and pointed at a cake in the menu and also a cup of ice cream.

Raymond saw her order and can't help but sigh, even her order is like that of a child, he ordered another cup of latte and Morris ordered for a bottled water before looking at Felicity again after the waiter left "about that. I will be taking you to see my grand parents this weekend, if you are asked how we met, what are you going to say?"

"That my aunty annoyed you and you insisted to marry me for a year before you will forgive her" she answered honestly.

Raymond's eyes twitched as he looked at her frozen, by his side he heard Morris stifling a laugh and he glared at him before looking at Felicity again "Felicity, the main reason I asked to bring you out is to talk about this. Now listen" he sat up straight "if my grandparents ask you how we met, you will tell them that we met in a coffee shop just like this one, you were having a coffee and reading a book when I entered and you charmed me then I walked up to you and talked to you. We had an interesting evening, then exchanged our personal phone numbers and kept in touch. After a month, we fell in love and I asked you to marry me to which you said yes, do you understand?"

Felicity looked at him strangely "that's telling a lie. Aunty Katy told me to never tell a lie, why do you want to lie to your grandparents?"

Damn, this is going to be harder than he thought, Raymond sighed "listen Felicity, I'm not lying to them. It's their wish that I marry a girl I met in a coffee shop" he smiled "okay look, are we not in a coffee shop now?"

"But I'm not reading a book" she pouted "besides, you came to my home and you brought me to the amusement park so I'm not just meeting you, I already met you in my house."

Morris couldn't hold his laughter anymore and he spat out the water he has in his mouth, laughing really hard.

Raymond looked at him dangerously and Morris tried to hold himself as he apologized but the laughter refused to leave him and he ended up excusing himself and leaving the table. Raymond looked at Felicity again while dabbing at his hand which Morris spilt water with a napkin "let's just take it that we met here."

"I can't lie to your grandparents, I have always wanted grandparents and you that have shouldn't lie to them."

Raymond pinched the bridge of his nose frustratedly and sighed "Felicity" he called softly but with a hint of danger "you do as I say. You will tell my family what I ask you to tell them, is that clear?"

Sensing the warning in his tone, Felicity's eyes welled up. She almost cried but when she saw the waiter returning with her cake, her eyes brightened and she clapped her hands joyously. She had been worried when he only brought Raymond's latte and Morris's water but he had promised hers was on the way, so seeing it now made her happy.

Raymond couldn't believe how her mood swings, he thought she was about to cry? Why did she end up being happy instead? He let out a groan and relax in his chair while he watch her happily eat her cake. When she was done, he handed her a napkin to clean her mouth which was like she was thrown into the cake.

"Help me wipe it, aunty Katy always help me."

Raymond froze when he heard the request "what?"

"Help me wipe my mouth" she repeated.

Raymond looked around but Morris was no where to be found, he cursed as he lean over to wipe her mouth and cursed again when he realized that her plate has stained his suit, right on then, he decided that one nanny is not even enough to take care of her and so he is going to get more, but getting more means exposing his secret and he couldn't help but let out a frustrated sigh.

Felicity immediately jumped into her ice cream and Raymond couldn't help but sigh when he saw her smearing her whole face with it, he is in it, he shook his head and prayed Morris should just return and immediately picked up his phone to call him but unfortunately, Morris was watching everything through the window and when he saw Raymond's call, he didn't even think about answering.

After she finished her ice cream, Raymond had to wipe her mouth again but this time, he stood up and walked closer to her, after that, he lifted her chin to look at him, their face were so closed and Felicity felt her heart beat thudding loud in her chest that if she should listen carefully, she could hear it, she has never been that close to a man.

Raymond saw her blushing face and a sweet smile graced his lips, dazzling Felicity the more "Felicity" he called so softly with his breath brushing on her face "you will help me make my grandparents happy right? You will tell them we met here and we like each other okay?"

Felicity nodded while gazing into his eyes.

Raymond smiled "that's my girl. You remember how I said the story will go right?"

She nodded again "aunty Katy always praise me for my fast learning memory. She said I have a photographic memory."

"That's amazing" Raymond smiled and released her chin, he walked back to his seat and sat down "we have to go now. I need to get back to the office."

Felicity licked her lips and gulped before nodding. Raymond called for the waiter and paid the bills before they walk outside to see Morris approaching them, he frowned and asked him "where were you? Why didn't you answer your calls when I called?"

"I'm sorry sir, I went back to the car and didn't know my phone was in silence, I just noticed you called which is why I came running" Morris looked pitiful.

Raymond sighed and walked ahead with Felicity by his side. Morris let out a relieved sigh as he ran after them. They dropped Felicity at home and Katherine and Mercy ran out to meet them. Raymond walked her to the porch and smiled as he said goodbye "I will see you soon Felicity. Goodbye aunty, goodbye nanny."

Felicity waved at him as did Mercy except Katherine who still looked at him warily. She immediately turned to Felicity immediately the car left "what happened, did he do anything to you?"

Felicity shook her head "no aunty, he was really good to me and he bought me ice cream and cake" she smiled sheepishly. Katherine sighed and hugged her before they walk into the house.

"You will tell me everything you discuss with him later okay?" Katherine said as they go in.

"Yes aunty."

The next day, Katherine walked into Raymond's office "you sent for me sir?"

Raymond looked up from the document he was working on "yes McCarthy, I don't know if your niece told you anything yesterday?"

Of course she will be McCarthy now, no more aunty, Katherine had to stop herself from rolling her eyes "she did told me about the lie you asked her to tell your grandparents and I must say, that is well thought of sir."

Raymond rolled his eyes when he heard the sarcasm in her voice "thank you and that also means that you know I will be taking her to meet them this weekend."

"About that sir, don't you think it's still early for that?"

"No, it's not. The earlier I get married, the better for me. If I should marry this month that means my grandfather will start counting my one year from next month and that means it will be up to a year before the World club anniversary, do you get that?"

Katherine sighed, "yes boss. I guess I have to prepare her then."

"Do just that" he said when he remembered the stress she put him through yesterday but still, a gentle smile graced his lips when he remembered her happy face when she took those rides "your niece is interesting, childish but interesting" he looked at Katherine "don't worry, I will treat her like the child she is."

"She is not a child" Katherine frowned.

"Oh?" Raymond chuckled "if I remember correctly, you were the one that said she is a child the first time" he sighed "okay then, I will treat her like a woman" he looked at her with a mischievous glint in his eyes.

Katherine panicked "no no, don't treat her like a woman."

Raymond groaned "then what should I treat her like McCarthy, an animal?"

Katherine bit her lips and sighed "fine, treat her like a child."

Raymond smiled "good, I will buy her ice cream when going home from work and buy her chocolate when I take her out."

"Please can you not buy her all those? She will have a running stomach when she eats them too much" she frowned.

"Fine, once in a while then" Raymond compromised.

"Thank you."

"Prepare her well McCarthy, I want my grandparents to be impressed."

"Yes sir."

"You may leave."

"Thank you sir" she bowed and left the office.
