1 Episode 1

Mona's P.O.V.

It was the middle of the night with the most beautiful full moon illuminating in the sky. But it was eerily quiet in the woods tonight.

It felt like we'd been running for hours and I was so damn tired.

I knew that we couldn't stop but I couldn't get going…not like this.

I felt a sharp pain radiate through my abdomen and I damn near screamed from how bad it was hurting me.

I guess Ken could feel that I was no longer by his side because he turned around and whimpered when he saw my pained expression.

He turned back into human form and raced over to me.

"Baby, what's wrong? Let's stop for a minute. You need to rest."

I shook my head, determined not to stop no matter what.

"No, Ken. We have to keep going. It's not safe yet. They could still get us if we stay here. Jamie is with them. I know that, with his immaculate sense of smell, he'll probably be the one to sniff us out."

"I will fight them off by my damn self if I see them come anywhere near us. You know that I will." He declared. "I have to make sure that you are safe." His words were pleading with me and as bad as I wanted to protest, another wave of the pain came and made me drop to my knees.

I slowly morphed back into my human form and tried to sit up with the help of the fallen tree.

I drew blood from biting my lip to keep from screaming from the pain.

Ken grabbed me and held me to his chest.

I could feel the anger rolling off of him in waves. I knew that if he didn't calm down, he was going to explode and inevitably share our location with Jaime and the others.

"Baby, you're going to have to calm down. If you don't, we'll never make it out of here." I could sense that he was still in his head, so I grabbed his hand and looked him in his eyes.

"Kenneth, baby, I need you to help me get through this. Please!" I begged through our mind link.

He sighed in defeat and looked me in my eyes.

"I'm sorry baby. I will do better." He said before rubbing my protruding belly. "The baby is coming, isn't he?"

I nodded and I felt him tense up behind me.

"I think so. The the pain is coming so fast…OW…it's must mean that it is time."

I was trying to stay calm because I didn't want my baby to be in any more distress than he already was.

Just as I was feeling a much more intense contraction, I heard footsteps nearby. Ken tensed even more which let me know that he heard it too.

I tried to cover my mouth with my hands as to not give away our location, but it was becoming extremely difficult to keep quiet.

Ken massaged my shoulders to try and keep me calm as he surveyed the area…using his strong senses to see if anyone was near us.

I could hear the footsteps get further away and breathed out in relief.

I felt a big gush of liquid flow from below me and I already knew it was my water breaking.

I looked behind me and shared the same scared look with Ken.

"Ow Shit! It's happening!" He said in a voice that was slightly louder than a whisper.

He quickly maneuvered his body so that he could be beside me and helped me get on my knees.

"Alright baby, I don't know what I'm doing here but I'm here and I'm going to help you get this baby out, ok."

I nodded. It was the only thing that I could do that didn't involve me opening my mouth. I already knew that if I opened my mouth, the only sound that he'd hear would be my screams.
