"You like Dr. Kifer don't you?" Danielle said as I pulled her blanket to her shoulders making sure she won't freeze later because of the cold then laughed lightly.
"No I don't" I countered staring at her amused.
She shook her head
"I'm eighteen now Meg," she looked at me purposely "a woman and a great observer and as I could see, you like him and I know he likes you too"
I had to laugh again settling down beside her.
"Okay," I confessed. "Maybe I have a crush on him"
I watched my sister's face break into a grin.
"I knew it!" she said triumphantly.
"But only a little," I added.
Danielle then looked at me with a funny expression on her face.
"Oh, Meg," she said.
"What?"
"If ever he asks you out one day, someday, would you date him?" she said, sounding hopeful.
I shrugged.
"Please Meggy promise me that if he ever does, say yes" Danielle pleaded. I shrugged again.
"We'll see," I said getting on my feet, ready to leave.
"Meg?" I stopped abruptly and faced my sister once again.
"Hmm?"
"Thank you" Danielle sat up and smiled.
"For what?" I said confused.
"For loving me endlessly," she said. I eyed her and smiled, sitting once again on her bed placing a fallen hair behind her ears. I looked at her meaningfully and sighed.
"You're my sister Danielle," I said "and I thank God every day for giving me such a wonderful sibling like you"
A tear escaped my sister's eyes which I immediately wiped away with my thumb.
"I love you, Meg," Danielle said.
"I love you more," I said then kissed her forehead goodnight.
