I opened my eyes to the smell of something delicious. I lazily sat up and shook the sleep out of me. I checked the time on my square-shaped clock standing on my bedside table below the lamp.

The small hands were pointing to ten while the longer ones were close to reaching six.

I started to panic as the aroma registered in my nose once again.

Who the hell was messing in my kitchen?

I was about to jump out of the bed when the door to my room suddenly opened and Dr. Kifer who was holding a tray containing a bowl and a glass of milk startled me as he walked in.

He smiled in my direction upon him seeing me stare in disbelief.

"Hi, I hope you don't mind me meddling with your kitchen," he said, placing his carriage on my lap the moment he reached me.

I had then recalled that he came here some hours ago and I had cried all over him sending me to snooze unconsciously.

"I don't," I said staring at him "but you shouldn't have bothered"

He smiled once again.

I looked away from his face to the food. I don't exactly know what kind of soup he had prepared but all I knew was that it was crave-worthy.

Sadly, I have no appetite that I had simply stared at the tray and didn't move even just an inch to start indulging it.

"Here," Dr. Kifer caught my attention as he grabbed the spoon lying beside the soup and took a spoonful, blew the hot liquid with his lips then offered it to me.

I found myself gawking, seeing him in a new perspective.

I shyly swallowed, hardly noticing the taste of the soup while he went on feeding me.

Once the bowl emptied, he offered the glass of milk but I shook my head. I was too full to add more liquid.

I watched him place the tray beside my clock and lamp on the bedside table then he turned to me.

"Do you feel better?" he said. I nodded.

The power to speak had escaped me. I looked at my sister's doctor silently. He was saying something but I hardly heard him.

I let my eyes fall down to his moving lips watching him mouth words that I have no intention of grasping what they were.

In a minute I was lost. My mind went into someplace that I didn't know existed.

A sudden longing arose somewhere inside of me then. A desire I never knew had been there.

I slowly found back my self-control and reached out a hand to touch his face.

This seemed to have surprised him but he made no move to back away.

I traced the curve of his lips with my thumb. My eyes scanned his face stopping on his eyes transfixed at how beautiful they were.

At that heart-stopping moment, I felt the need to kiss him.

And I did.

His lips brushing to mine made me want him more.

I felt his hands on my face, slowly pulling himself away.

"Meg" he stared into my eyes, bewildered, unsure but on top of that, I saw that he wanted me too.

I got his hands away from my face and kissed him for the second time around with a passion I never knew was possible.

I felt him struggle at first but after a while, he gave in. He started kissing me back.

I wanted more. My hands started searching for buttons. I was halfway near to one when he stopped me again and pulled away.

"Meg," he caught his breath "are you sure?" he implored my eyes once more searching for answers that weren't there.

I didn't respond and started kissing him again. This time there was no resistance.

It wasn't just a kiss then. It turned into something else.

I stopped abruptly.

"Dr. Kifer," I whispered in his ears "just for this night," I paused "ease my pain"

"Just Andy, Meg," he said "stop calling me doctor"
