At the Heavenly Apex forest, a man riding a peculiar flying sword was heading to the thousand strike empire. He was moving in a not so fast but also not so slow speed. His eyes were sparkling, just like a kid seeing a museum for the first time.
While he was looking around he found a beautifully decorated carriage being attacked by eight men in black assassin's clothing. He was intrigued by this plot so he decided to watch the show.
The eight men were at peak martial general realm. They were fighting an armored middle age man that was an early martial king realm. The middle-aged man was trying to protect the one inside the carriage.
As he got closer he noticed that this uncle was familiar this was an elder of the Xiao Clan one of the 4 major families in the thousand strike empire.
He hid on one of the branches of the nearest tree. "Xiao Jie just give up and hand over the young lady to us, then you will live," said the criminal group's leader.
"In your dreams," said the uncle before releasing a sword skill but was deflected easily as four different warriors attack four sides. This interrupted his focus allowing him to reveal a flaw.
"STOP!!!" a shout came from the carriage. The doors opened revealing a beautiful woman in her twenties about the same age as me. If I remembered correctly this woman was one of the previous Tian Long's only friends.
When one of the men who were about to kill Xiao Hua. A blur and flash happened and the assailants were instantly beheaded. Leaving a flabbergastered girl and a bewildered old man.
After a few moments the two returned to their senses and tried to find who saved them but our hero already left after leaving a letter written on a leaf in her hand.
The girl noticed a large leaf that wasn't there earlier "What's this, I never remembered picking this up?" as she was thinking the elder called her out.
"Young miss please enter the carriage " the middle-aged man called out. The lady immediately complied and entered the carriage while still holding the leaf. When she entered the carriage she read the note written on it.
It says <You might not know me or simply forgotten who I am but today was just me repaying the kindness you showed me those years ago and this was also my parting gift to you goodbye rabbit from puffy>
When as she read the note tears began forming at the edges of her eyes. When she read who it came from tears began flowing down on her face.
She remembered back then there was this chubby boy that she used to call puffy and in return, he calls her rabbit. They were always happy but then he left a few years later she found out that his parents passed away.
Then a year after she heard that he died inside the heavenly apex forest during an exploration mission. She cried for days when she heard the news that was four years ago. But seeing this letter she felt her heart being rejuvenated. 'He is still alive' she thought to herself.
She strengthens her resolve to search for him no matter what it takes but first she needs to resolve some problems of her own. Her clan was currently in it's darkest times as the clan head her father caught an incurable disease.
