The Secret

Dan Chen was unaware of the deal between White Furry Large Ape and the green-robed elder. It was only after White Furry Large Ape had exterminated all the humans in the Black Mist Moor that their group grandly returned to the Snowy Mountains. By the time Dan Chen returned to the cave, Song Ye had been waiting for quite some time.

"Dan Chen, you're finally back!" Song Ye was overjoyed at the sight of Dan Chen, having been worried about him challenging the Liu family alone.

"Brother Song," Dan Chen forced a smile in response.

"What's wrong? Didn't things go well?" Song Ye noticed Dan Chen's low spirits and the large ice coffin carried by White Furry Large Ape, his expression immediately changing. "That ice coffin, could it be...?"

"It contains my father," Dan Chen said softly. "But it's only his body; he hasn't truly died..."
