"I see you finally ended the kissing show and decided to properly greet me, Yin Yue. I wasn't expecting anything better from, but you should have really spare us that view." Yin Yue blinked furiously, as the woman in front of her uttered a sheer nonsense. After all it was Li Qiang who kissed her, but Madame Su decided otherwise.

Li Qiang sighed, getting a déjà vu feeling as he watched his stepmother getting more and more nasty.

"What can we do. A mistress child wouldn't bring anyone decent home, so I think I should be glad that you didn't go a step further in front of everyone," Madame Su snapped and Yin Yue gritted her teeth.

"Yes, I can see now why there was a need for a mistress in this family," she said sarcastically and smirked, taking Li Qiang by arm. "Dear, I would like to take this step further which mother just mentioned, but maybe not in front of her. She had already caused enough of a scene, so we should go back home," she added, making Li Qiang raise his eyebrows once again.

He wasn't expecting her to stood up for him, especially in front of his stepmother. He knew Yin Yue was scared of Su and the her shaking hands only confirmed it.

"You heard her, mom. I'm afraid we won't be able to stay here any longer," he smiled, getting this warm feeling as he looked at Yin Yue.

"Ungrateful brat, I should have made you marry someone decent so you won't bring shame to our family!" Madame Su said, clearly in rage, causing a few guests to look their way.

"Madame Su, I think you're the one bringing shame to this family, disturbing your own guests and spouting nonsense. Maybe you should be re-educated about manners in high society as you clearly lack them," Yin Yue said looking down at the woman, which made her even more furious if possible.

In the next second Su raised her hand ready to slap the girl in front of her, but Li Qiang's fingers wrapped around her wrist painfully, making her unable to move.

"You should watch you mouth, mother. I'm not going to let you hit my woman," he said, while Yin Yue blushed, looking at him weirdly.

Some dangerous note in his voice made her realize that he didn't say it just because they were in public, but because he really meant it. She put her hand on his shoulder and smiled warmly at him, making him raise his eyebrows in surprise.

"Let's go." Li Qiang nodded and took her hand in his, before taking her to the entrance. Well this visit definitely helped him get close to his cute wife and he saw a hope for the two of them. if she didn't despise him completely then he was still able to win her over.
