6 Breaking the Marriage Law [5]

Li Qiang slammed the door to the bedroom behind him with anger, completely ignoring Yin Yue who stood still in the kitchen, fighting the tears. It was until one of the maids came to her and took her to the guest room, that she came to her senses.

She then threw her coat on the chair and stood in front of the balcony in silence, ignoring the tears that streamed down her face.

"Curse you, Li Qiang..." she whispered.

Yin Yue tried to be independent as much as it was possible. She finished studies she chose herself. She found the job herself. And now she could be hated even more because of Li Qiang meddling. Why couldn't that man just leave her in peace? It wasn't even his problem! She didn't want it to be his problem. If that happened, it would mean that she decided to depend on him. And that was definitely not happening.

Li Qiang looked at Zhi Ruo who called him this morning, causing him to sigh deeply. He disliked the woman from the bottom of his heart.

Zhi Ruo came from one the most influential families. She was a real Miss, a Princess one would dare to say. But as much as she was spoiled, she was also strong-willed and stubborn. And just like her mother had wished for Zhi Ruo to get married to Li Qiang, she'd wanted it too. Much to his displeasure.

"Aren't you going to say anything?" Zhi Ruo asked with anger, clearly pissed off with his calm attitude. Li Qiang fought the urge to roll his eyes like some offended girl and looked at the woman coldly.

"Why should I? You called me out in the middle of my work and I had only agreed to get over with it. So say whatever you want and let's get back to work," he stated indifferently, before his gaze sharpened and his voice's tone became unpleasant. "Not everyone can give their work to the workers and use them, threatening that they'll get fired," Li Qiang added and Zhi Ruo flinched, looking away nervously.

"I didn't..." she started, but quickly fell silent, realizing that with this kind of behavior she wouldn't convince even herself.

"I won't be meddling into your work. But you don't meddle into my wife's life. I want her to get home at normal hour. If you cannot take care of it, I will talk to your boss," Li Qiang said coldly, hardly controlling his way of speaking.

"Li Qiang you...! How can you pretend to be a good husband?! You were supposed to be with me! That's what our families wanted, that's what I wanted! You agreed to it before you found that trump!" Zhi Ruo suddenly screamed, slamming her hands on the cafe's table and observing him agitated.

"Watch your language, Zhi Ruo. We're done talking." Li Qiang stood up and left the cafe, without even looking back at the furious woman. He'd enough and one more word from her could really send him over the edge of his patience.
