2 Breaking the Marriage Law [1]

Yin Yue body was hot. Not from the desire but the anger. She wanted to push him away, but something made her stay calm. When Li Qiang pulled back, she could still feel the lingering touch of his lips on her and even though it shouldn't be unpleasant, it really was. His gaze fixed on her eyes, and she swallowed, looking away.

Li Qiang hesitated for a second and then stood up, leaving the furious woman on the bed. He could see it on her face - the look of detest was so clear, that it was almost unbearable for him. Was he really so repulsive to her?

"Do you regret?" He heard her question, but didn't even spare her another glance, as he put a white shirt on, giving her an obvious sign to also get ready to work.

"I will never regret making you mine," Li Qiang answered honestly and the woman huffed in annoyance.

Yin Yue stood up and gathered her clothes and shut the bathroom's door behind her. She didn't want him to see her body more than he already did.

Looking at her reflection in the mirror she sighed, at how tired she looked. No, that wasn't the right word.

She felt and looked 'defeated'.

"Freaking Demon Lord."

Zhang Wei looked at his older brother, who was sitting at the kitchen's table, sipping coffee with a calm expression. But even though he looked comfortable and composed, it was nothing more than a façade.

"Brother Li, when are you going to tell her the truth? Sister-in-law has the right to know," Zhang Wei asked, obviously worried. If he was at least as much powerful as his brother, he would have tried to help Yin Yue, but still, Li Qiang was the only person capable of that.

"She already knows that her family practically sold her to me. She doesn't need to know that it was the best what she could have had received from them," Li Qiang answered, but his gaze sharpened dangerously at the mere thought of his in-laws wrongdoings.

He didn't want Yin Yue to know what kind of family she had. He would have never allowed her to be given to that man, even if it meant keeping her from finding true love she so wished for.

"But then she will hate you forever, brother Li," Zhang Wei frowned. It was such an obvious thing… Li Qiang cared for Yin Yue, loved her and even decided to hurt her and himself in order to protect her. Why wouldn't he want to tell her the truth.

"She will hate me anyway when she learns what kind of person she'd married. I can only hope that at some point in the future after that she will return my feelings." Even he, the almighty Li Qiang, didn't believe his words could ever come true.
