22 Leon

Diana quickly got up from the bed and frantically looked around the room.

She pinched her brows, unable to recall where she could have left it.

"Shit!" She cursed when she remembered that moment in the restroom.

How could she have forgotten? It had fallen into the sink when that unknown guy pushed her.

Hopefully, it would still be in there.

She rubbed her temples in stress and quickly proceeded to make her way downstairs.

The elevator took her down to the last floor, and she walked out when the door pulled open.

She glanced to her left and right and hurriedly proceeded towards the restroom.

She slowly pushed its door open and walked in, then made her way towards the sink, but when she looked inside, she didn't find her phone.

"Shit, it's gone!" Her face crumpled in annoyance as it was what was expected.

Could that unknown man have taken the phone with him? Was he a thief or something, or could one of the workers in the hotel have taken it?

Hmm... well, it won't hurt to ask them in the morning. Hopefully, it would be the latter, because if not, that would mean her phone and every piece of information stored on it would be gone.

She took a long deep breath and strolled out of the bathroom.

She turned around to make her way towards the elevator, but she unknowingly bumped into someone, which resulted in her almost falling if not for the person quickly catching her by the waist, preventing her from falling.

Her heart thumped heavily within her and she slowly opened one of her tightly shut eyes to see who she had bumped into.

"He-llo..." Her jaw dropped on seeing an innocent-looking face filled with sweet smiles.

"Hello, are you okay? I apologize for running into you." The unknown guy apologized, and Diana slowly shook her head.

"No need to apologize. I should be the one apologizing." She said in a daze, unable to take her eyes off his baby-like face.

How could a man with such a pretty and innocent face have such a muscular body?

He had just about the same body type as Lorenzo, but his face looked like that of an innocent kid's filled with smiles.

"I'm glad you're fine." The young man smiled at her and proceeded to walk away, but Diana, however, stopped him.

"May I ask why...you're on the last floor at this time of the night? I am not trying to imply anything, haha... Just curious."

She smiled sheepishly, and the young man chuckled softly.

"It's fine. I just couldn't sleep, so I came down to walk around the garden in the backyard."

He clarified, and Diana's brows raised as she had no idea that the hotel had a garden in the backyard.

"What about you?" The young man asked, snapping her out of her thoughts.

"Oh... me. Ahh... same here. I just couldn't sleep as well, so I just came downstairs, but I absolutely had no idea that there was a garden."

She laughed, and the young man slightly shook his head.

"Do you mind if I walk you around the garden then?"

He asked politely, and a wide smile spread across Diana's face.

"I don't mind." She quickly shook her head, and together they walked out to the backyard.

Diana halted on her step and took in the beauty of the garden, coupled with the stars above the sky.

"It's beautiful, isn't it?" The young man asked, and she nodded her head in agreement.

"It is."

"Am Leon, by the way." He introduced himself, and Diana turned her head to look at him.

"My name is Diana." She introduced herself as well, and the young man smiled sweetly.

"You have a beautiful name," he complimented, and Diana gazed at him in admiration. "Thank you."

"Come, let me show you something." He grabbed her hand before she could say a word and began to walk her further into the garden.

They walked for a few minutes, and finally, upon arriving at their destination, Diana halted on seeing something so simple and beautiful.

Before her was a garden swing, surrounded by fireflies that looked so magical.

"Whoa..." She exclaimed, as she couldn't remember when she last saw something as beautiful as this. "It's beautiful..." she commented, and Leon nodded.

"They come out every night, so I sneak out here to, you know..." He shrugged, and Diana cackled softly.

"Yeah, I get it. I would always do the same if I knew of this place. It's very peaceful."

She said, and together they walked towards the swing.

They sat down on it and slowly it rocked them back and forth.

.. 9:00 am

The alarm near her bed rang heavily in her ears, causing her to wake up immediately.

She stretched her body and glanced at the alarm to see that it was already nine o'clock.

"Oh shit!" She hurriedly jumped out of bed the instant she recalled that the selection thingy was starting around 10 am.

How could she have slept for so long?

She slapped her head and scurried into the bathroom, then shut the door behind her.

She took a quick shower and stepped out wrapped up in a short towel.

Her eyes halted at the closet, and she scampered towards it.

She pulled it open and bit her lips as she gazed at the many options in front of her.

She needed to dress in sexy clothing, but doing that would be hard because of her scared arms.

She can't wear anything that doesn't come with long arms.

A deep breath of frustration exited her nose and she quickly grabbed a body hugged red dress with well-designed long arms, which looked very nice.

She slid into it and wore red heels to top it off.

She strode towards the mirror and gazed at her red hair. A soft disdainful chuckle exited her mouth as she knew just how reddish she would look.

"This won't work." She shook her head and walked back to the closet.

Her hands ravaged through the dresses, and she quickly grabbed a white one, but immediately dissatisfied with it, she returned it.

She would look like a bride in it.

She shook her head, and unexpectedly drawn by a fine silver dress, she grabbed it and pulled it out.

She examined it, and a huge smile crept up on her lips.

"Finally!" she exclaimed and slid into it, then moved to the mirror to admire herself.

"Okay... I like this."

She picked up the brush and gave her hair a nice brushing, then combed it afterward.

She wasn't going to overdo it for this selection.

No, she will just dress simply and nice.

She agreed with herself and picked up the perfume.

She sprayed it around her body and took deep breaths.

Just a little bit of makeup, a nice dress, and neat hair, that's all you need.

She glanced at herself in the mirror one more time and walked out of the room.

She shut the door behind her and strolled towards the elevator.

She took the elevator down to the bottom floor and exited when the door opened.

She walked to the vast room where the selection was taking place, and the moment she pushed the door open and stepped inside, all eyes fell on her, causing her to halt in confusion.
