4 Pond Inside The Mountain

Calming his crescent excitement, Katai stood up and strode out.

Outside of the old hut, the landscape that welcomed him was the sight of a large village, it could almost be called a city. His memories began to run wild...

"Vila Sabö!" He murmured softly.

He look away and faced a towering mountain on west that stretched out to the clouds, this mountain and all the surrounding region, belong to the Free Clouds Sect; in the original timeline, he has even come here to try join in this sect together with his other two servants after they are be persecuted and forced to escape from the clan.

The two servants who accompanied him were Celia and Abel.

Celia was a cheerful and reliable girl, a typical 16-year-old girl. Unfortunately, in her past life, she ended up having a tragic end. Katai was totally helpless to help her in that time; this was just one of his many regrets. As for Abel ... A glimmer of hate flashed through Katai's eyes.

"This time everything will be different! Free Clouds Sect, Abel and Clan Luch" He grunted.

Katai's blacklist was pretty extensive, but he wasn't in such a hurry to start his vengeance, he had time to prepare himself and he would use that time in the best way possible.

Without any more time for these memories and useless thoughts to blur his goals, he took a deep breath and started walking toward the mountain.

He didn't even bother to walk around the village to recall old memories or to find some friend. Even if it wasn't fatal, he went through many problems in this village. It would be a smart move just departs from there, even more at that time, when he was a mere mortal who hadn't even a little drop of spiritual energy.

Originally he had settled into this village holding the hope of becoming a cultivator and having a chance to enter in the Free Clouds sect, but the whole effort was for nothing ... Only his two servants managed to join sect.

Despite Celia's reluctance to part with her young master, for having an incredibly high talent, she was practically forced to join the sect. Abel on the other hand, even if he wasn't so talented, nor did he think twice about abandoning him, not only that, he even stole Katai.

If everything was to happen as happened on the original timeline, Abel will be back in a few months to humiliate Katai and take him by force to his father's safe, inside the clan mansion, since his blood was needed to unlock the vault. It was a pity for Abel that this time it wouldn't work at the same way.

Everything would be returned with interest in due time.

Katai wasn't going to the mountain to try his luck in the sect again, but to usurp a treasure that would be discovered a few years in future by some outer elders. This treasure would help him take his first step in the cultivation path.

•••

After two hours of walking, Katai had already traveled all the way to the mountain foot and circulated around its periphery for a while without encountering any unforeseen.

This part was the most peripheral area of the mountain, there were only small animals like rabbit and birds, so it was still relatively safe place for him keep there.

After some more searching time, he finally found what he was looking for. It was a small cave, so small that it would be more correct to call it a hole in the wall.

Seeing this entrance he can't help but giving a slight smile, it was exactly as the rumors said, the entrance of the cave look quite like that area of a woman.

He crawled into the hole, it would be so much better if he dug through the walls to increase the entrance, but with the little strength that he had thanks the lacked for food, this simple action would be totally unreal. He crawled through the hole for half hour before he began to feel the way taking a downward curve, and so, began his long journey of another three hours as he crawled down.

Katai was exhausted and above all things, with hungry! In his excitement and anxiety, he didn't even bother to eat something before he began his adventure. He was only able to move his weak body thanks to the stubbornness that he developed after millennia of tribulations. Fortunately, he was finally able to see a beam of light, he had finally reached the end of the tunnel.

Totally dirty and ragged, he left the hole while trying to hold onto the walls, but weak as he was, end up fell from the wall, luckily the exit wasn't too far from the ground.

He leaned against the wall to get up, as soon as he managed to stabilize, stared looking around the new ambient with curiosity and anticipation.

What got his vision was a huge dome-shaped inside the mountain.

On the roof of the dome was a crystal at the size of an adult man's head, while on the floor was a pond that had about 100 meters in diameter, its depth unknown.

"HAHAHA to thinking that really would be a pond of spiritual essence, those damn greedy old men kept claiming that they found only a little puddle! It seems like everything will be softer than I imagined." Katai laughed hysterically.

This pond should be discovered by some elders of the free clouds sect in a few years be now, when news of this discovery spread, they swore that what they found was only a small puddle of essence, but who could imagine that it was in fact a huge pond.

At that time, a digging fox had stolen some kind of artifact from one of the elders, too bad for the poor fox that the stolen artifact had a rune tracking on it, so the outer elder was able find the fox lair along with a few other companions.

As they entered into the lair and followed the tunnel for a while, they noticed that from the bottom of the tunnel came an incredibly strong spiritual energy, they found then that the fox had dug to that dome.

From what Katai can notice, this dome must already be the fox's lair. Digging fox just came back to their lairs at night and as it still was morning, he had time enough.
