Standing in the middle of the horde in the Sahara desert, I took a deep breath and closed my eyes. 'Emma' I imagined myself next to my wife, seconds later I opened my eyes and appeared next to Emma. "Welcome back" Emma smiled as she was fighting the monsters, "Thanks".
Asura re-appeared falling down into the forest, taking a deep breath I looked around and sensed the fissure area. "We will meet up later guys, keep up the fight" I waved at them and ran towards the river by the end of the forest.
Swish! The wind that gathered from my flow destroyed everything in its path. 'Inventory' I took out my hammer and jumped into the fissure.
"?!#@" The lizardmen spoke in a different language, I stood outside after getting used to the gravity of this place and killed the three lizards that were opening the fissure. As I was about to jump into the closing fissure a lizard stood at the fissure holding a two-handed axe.
Sigh, the fissure closed and I was stuck here. 4 hours until I can use void tear again… "Mountain Form" I slowly inserted my legs into the ground and took my stance.
"Human!" The lizard shouted as he ran towards me, Slash! He slashed with his axe, I sent an open hand to its sides changing its trajectory. My eyes became cold and the mask cracks began to increase.
"Shhhh" I took in some air slowly while fending off the axe, "Demonic Retribution" I began to go on the offensive without moving my lower body.
Ting! Tak! Ting! Tak! My fist and hammer began to hit the Axe but the lizard, on the other hand, kept dodging the attacks.
"Dimensional Speed Hack!" I shouted and my hands disappeared from eyesight. Throwing my hammer inside the inventory, my hands began to fend off the lizard, Crack! I broke his axe before trying to pierce him on his neck.
Slash! I was cut from behind, damn it! I turned my body and fended off the lizards attack me while the lizard who held the axe got another one and came back to attack.
"ohhhhhhh!" I screamed in anguish and Strengthened my legs. "Space, open" I cast a spell and a rip happened in the sky itself, "Swallow energy". The rip began pulling everything, I hated using this skill as it is too dangerous for me and my companions.
The lizards tried to hold on to anything they can see but even the pillars of wood on the side were pulled up. I felt tired from the energy intake of using this skill, in the end, I am still weak, killing S grade monsters are simple as long as the weakness is there.

My pale face began becoming blue, I finally was able to pierce him but his body reacted and slashed my arm off. Luckily I used my other hand and cut off his heart.

Placing my hand on the dead lizard body I began to move my fingers in a circular motion, creating several runes on its body… After finishing the process, the body turned to light and what fell from the light was a small tablet made out of dirt.

"Nice harvest, hahaha!" I laughed as I threw the runes in the inventory, might make them prizes in the quest list.
The runes have many benefits, crafting strong weapons are one of them, creating shields to prevent monsters are also another part… but the most important one is strengthening attributes in the system I created.

Looking around I noticed that there were no monsters left. "Take this" I threw the Runes towards Emma. "Go back to the island, we have closed up the two fissures, they won't open for a while as the first phase only allows two"
"Are you coming?" Emma asked I shook my head "I discovered a new way to get runes, I plan to make them available to everyone" I smiled as I went towards a monster and began engraving marks on its body.
"I will wait back home my love" Emma smiled as she entered the door with everyone else. "Kuku, Brother, what happened?" Asura asked looking at my arm that is growing now.
"A mere swordsman nearly killed me, a damn lizard Asura!" I shouted in anger. "Don't dwell on it, what grade was he?" Asura asked
"Grade SS" I replied as I engraved the bodies of the monsters. "Kukuku, forget it, we won't be fighting them until the 5th phase". Asura changed from his large form and appeared on my back.
As I engraved the monsters, I began thinking about the energy consumption. What is energy? It makes me tired after using skills to its highest level but in the end, I can end up dying because of it…
Is energy something that flows like the blood or the energy of my level?
