3 Superstitious Alignment

It was quite astonishing what nature was capable of. There were a lot of phenomenons that couldn't be explained. But that didn't made them any less real, Even after a millennium of traveling between the stars, Humanity knew very little about it. Be it the lack of foundational knowledge, or the lack of the civilization that was responsible for the phenomena, The knowledge that lead to such fantastical creations were lost with the passage of time. The Crew of THS Shore Currently faced such a phenomenon.

Except for small discrepancies, The 4 planets were almost identical to each other. This wasn't common by any means. Normally the traits of each planets varies as one goes further away from the local star, As amount of heat decreased with the distance increasing, it was quite rare to find 2 planets that were so similar as to almost identical to each other. It was even rarer to find 4 of them, And the fact that they all had a similar orbit and behaved similarly, It couldn't have been a natural phenomena.

"What you're suggesting isn't possible, even with the current technology of even the Dragoids, it's not possible change the orbit of a planet this massive. And doing this for multiple planets would mean that they've mastered the technology involved."

"Doesn't this mean that the party who did this has gained extreme mastery of energy and stellar transformations?", Another researcher said from the side as he realized the fact that the feat they're witnessing was done by a really powerful civilization that humanity wasn't ready to contend with at the moment, much less the crew of THS Shore.

"None of the currently known civilization is capable of such a feat. Either this is done by a civilization that we don't know of, or they are long gone and this is just a glimpse of their mastery of the craft."

"If you had to guess, What's kind of civilization were they?", Captain Huges asked Kita.

Kita began to think for a moment. They had to at least be a galactic civilization, capable of traversing the stars and able to harness the energy resource of a star system to it's advantage. Also it displays extreme mastery of moving huge stellar objects and able to do it really precisely.

"They have to at least have been a tier 3 galactic civilization."

"Tier 3!"

Gasps could be heard on the bridge. A Tier 3 Galactic Civilization meant that they could could be considered equal to Humanity and the other 3 major races of the milky way. But the tech level on display was so advanced that they had to assume that the aliens were way more powerful than the current major races. Way way more powerful!

"But why would they do such a thing out here in a remote corner of the milky way. What's the purpose of this formation and what were they trying to achieve? They couldn't have gone to such lengths for nothing. It should have a definite purpose.", Captain Huges said as he was still processing the information that was just revealed.

"What's the purpose of these planets? What were they trying to achieve?", Kita began to think about this. At a glance there were no purpose to this strange formation of planets with extreme weather all the time, when it was not busy being cooked by one of the 2 local stars, it was busy being ice cold that could even freeze Hydrogen into solid ice. It was an extremely hostile planet to serve any purpose. Yet, for some reason, the ones responsible deemed them suitable for their purpose.

"Sir, you should see this". One of the Scientist called Kita to take a look at the data.

"What have you got?"

"I was tracking the paths each of the planets are talking right now, They are about to align perfectly in the near future. They are currently extremely close to their alignment point and will align within a couple of standard days.", The scientist informed Kita as he projected the future trajectory of the 4 planets.

"Fascinating, Typically this isn't anything noteworthy, but this situation is anything but ordinary. Can you get an ETA of when exactly will they align?", Kita asked the Scientist behind the terminal.

"In exactly 8 days and 2 hours the 4 planet's are gonna be perfectly aligned when measured from the center of the distance between the 2 stars. This is also one of the 2 points their orbit's meet together. Although they're still distanced from each other. But this is one of the points where their orbits all meet each other and the planets can align together."

"You reckon anything interesting will happen?", Kita asked the person sitting behind the terminal.

"I don't know sir, It's highly unlikely that anything of note will happen. This all may just be a coincidence, To me this feels like just an elaborate setup but a fuitle one that can't achieve anything meaningful."

"Keep an eye on the situation and keep me updated.", Kita said as he turned to the captain and asked.

"Captain should we let the high command know about this? The existence of another and potentially more powerful 3rd tier galactic civilization can really change the galactic dynamic.", Kita said to the captain.

"You're right. This could be a part of something bigger, way bigger than us. Prepare an adequate report to send back to the high command. And make preparation of observing anything that may happen when the planets align. We're stuck here for the foreseeable future anyway. Might as well put it use."

"Right away sir.", Kita said as he started to walk towards his lab. He needed to report this to Dr. Kbom. The good Dr. Was busy in his own research in inside his lab, But the situation could use some input from him. So Kita decided to fill him up on with proceeding. As the main researcher on-board the shore, he was in charge of everything related to researching.
