1 Bounty League Internship

Some people ask why working as an intern is appealing, well it isn't. It is just a good way to keep a low profile in life. I am Vincent, by the way, an intern at the bounty League. I am also the A ranked bounty hunter, 'Blade Shower'. Unfortunately I have a terrible reputation, since I always wore black and used blades exclusively, many people thought I was a stereotypical sadist and were creeped out by me.

As such, I receive a lot of hate mail via the internet and during my work. Nowadays I go by 'Vincent', your friendly neighbourhood intern. I have abandoned my hunter life since last year and enjoyed a life of being treated like a person, people even say hello to me in the morning.

Life has never been better, I feel like a much happier version of myself. I still practice my blade arts 6 hours a day, but now I can pursue it without being hated.

"Vincent-kun, file these papers by the end of the day." That was my superior, Yuki Fujiwara.

She is a fair person, not too lenient and not too harsh. She is apparently an S ranked bounty hunter, with the alias of 'Moonlight Raven'. She is a crowd control and agility type hunter, one of the best of her kind. She gets away with the 'darkness' vibe for some reason. I still don't understand how she gets away with it.

"Vincent-kun, if you work hard enough I can give you a reward." Yuki winked.

She must be one of those spoiling parent types. It's almost as if I have a mother, I think. I am not actually sure. I have always been too tired to think emotionally. It still hasn't worn out I guess.

"I will get the work done." I said plainly.

"Good, a young man like you should be much more energetic." She complained.

I went over too her private office and started to file a mountain worth of paperwork. By the time I was done, it was already 1pm. Which is quite fast considering I only started at 12:30pm. Just in time for lunch I guess. I guess I should head over to the break room. I left the office in a fast paced walking speed and started to make my way to the break room, only to be stopped halfway.

"Vincent-kun, you are to come with me right now." A muscular man in a suit spoke.

"It seems Lady Raven is happy and angry at you. I hope you do well sir." The man said in a grim and then joyful voice.

"By the way, the name's Carl Morgan. Have a nice day."

The man left after we reached a double door, leaving me to wonder what is behind it. I opened the door to see a familiar sight; the Hunter Trials Room. The room where they test new hunter's aptitudes. I guess Fujiwara-san is trying to get me a promotion or something. I really don't want to enter this line of work again. It is far too stressful. I walked up to the examiner, he was a bald dude with star sunglasses.

"Yo, I am Shining Star, I will be your examiner today." He said.

"Let's test your speed."

He pointed over to a 100 metre long track. And told me to run when he says so.

"Go!"

I ran as fast as I could, trying to reach the end faster so I can actually eat food.

"Nice."

"Now, punch that metal plate." He spoke.

I punched it with the full extent of my hunger displeasure, putting a medium sized crack in the plate.

"Hmmmm..... Nice."

"Now then, combat test. Fight that guy over there."

He pointed towards a person in yellow armor, wielding a huge glowing mace.

"I am Bright Smash, S rank #21." The armoured person announced.
