1 Prologue - Escape

Bodies laid sprawled all around the ground, blood coated the walls, ripped up wires hanged around. Every step they took made the metal platings creak.

They were powerful unstoppable killing machines that cared not for lives. They only did what they were programmed to do. They were Rank 3 slayers.

There were only 2 of them, yet they had destroyed every single living creature on this tiny space shuttle, however they weren't done yet. Their mission was to kill me, but they hadn't found me yet.

I held my breath as I hid underneath the piles of bodies. I heard one of the slayers draw nearby.

'Please pass by, please pass by, please pass by.'

The slayer stopped right in front of me.

'System. Lower my body temperature to that of a dead person's.'

[Warning! Doing so for longer than 5 minutes will kill you]

'Just do it, damn it!'

[Understood. Lowering body temperature]

I could feel it. I was getting colder and my heart beat was slowing down. The slayer began to scan where I was, and I hoped he would fail to notice me. Just as it was scanning, the other slayer came in.

The first one stopped its scan and the two looked at each other, as if they were communicating, before they walked away.

[Warning! Warning! You have reached the time limit!]

'What!?'

I hadn't noticed it, but my heart had stopped beating. I hit my chest hard to get it functioning.

"Start. Working. You. Stupid. Heart!"

In my anger, I accidentally screamed and that attracted the slayers. They turned to look at me, their laser lights pointing at me.

"Target Nemva Cruis Elisia El located."

"Tch"

I clicked my tongue, then turn to run away. The slayers begun to fire at me. Their bullets were made of Azurean Alloy that could easily pierce through armor tanks. How do I know this? Well because I had seen it happen before. I remember all the times from when I was being moved around by that bastard.

These rank 3 slayers were not ordinary in the slightest. They were something a rank 1 like me could never hope to face. All I could do was run and hope I wouldn't die.

It was especially difficult to run over fallen bodies, but I somehow managed to do that.

The sounds of shells continuously hitting the bent metal platings and piercing the walls filled my metal heart with panic.

[Warning! Incoming Projectile travelling at 300 metres per second]

'Send all energy into Psionic barrier'

I sent in most of my Psion energy into my barrier, but still braced for impact. If even one of those bullets hit me, I was doomed.

The bullet it and broke through my barrier with little resistance, however, that little resistance gave me enough time to move to the side, barely avoiding it. The azurean bullet connected with my left arm, and sent me flying some distance away.

"Aaaahh! Damn it! But hell yes!"

The blast had sent flying into the escape pod room. I pushed the button to one of the escape pods, opening it, but the door was taking too long.

"Open you stupid door! Open!"

I furiously pushed the button, looking over my back to see if the Slayers were coming. My arm was losing too much blood, but I couldn't care about that. I saw red from behind and I could hear the machines drawing closer. When the door opened, I got in and pushed random buttons in distress.

"Detaching from main ship. Step away from the door."

The automatic voice said.

"Hurry up you bucket of bolts, or else we will both die."

The door closed quickly and the pod detached itself from the ship.

"I…. I made it! Woohoo. Hehe. T-that was lucky."

"Welcome to the SRN8. Where would you like to go to?"

"Tch, send me anywhere. Just get me out of here now."

"Understood… setting a course for planet Sonoe 9NRV"

"Planet Sonoe 9NRV?"

"A designated scrap planet in the AL 259 galaxy. Will take approximately 600 hours to arrive."

"Are there any food supplies?"

"Affirmative. However the available food supply won't last that long. Do you still wish to go?"

"Whatever. Just go! Now!"

"Understood."

I looked back at the space ship. The two slayers were looking at me from the ship and they were pointing their rifles at me, however they weren't programmed for space combat. It was highly likely that they were sent here on a suicide mission, although they wouldn't care less.

"I'll get you, you bastards. Just wait and see. I'll kill all of you."
