16 Chapter 15: The Truth

- MIYA'S POV -

"Are you telling me that we can't do anything about it?" I asked.

I slumped my shoulders when Queen Rafaela nodded to my question. Then me, visiting there Kingdom is useless at all. It did answer my question but I thought there will be a cure or a way to stop it.

"I'm really sorry, goddess of the Moonlight. All I can give you is my advice, you should go down now, your mate is waiting for you. I can feel he's in pain right now. You did kill yourself in front of him. Spend more time with him until you can, but it won't last forever."

I tried to open my eyes but it's still the same, it's like my eyes are still close. All I can see is darkness and I can't hear anything. It's also cold here. Where am I?

I heard a groan and a door opened, "You can leave now. Your work here is done."

I heard the door shut. I was about to open my mouth to speak then I remember that I have a tape plastered to my mouth. Great, I can't also see a thing because of this blindfold.

Damn, someone kidnapped me. Where the hell did Guinevere, Gusion, and Kadita go?!

"You know that I can sense when you're awake. Can you get up?"

I shuddered when I felt a hand on my forehead, "Hey, wake up already. We have a lot to talk about."

I winced when I felt a flick on my forehead. What the? I rubbed my hand to my forehead, trying to ease the pain he caused. What was that for?!

I can feel he's gently removing the tape plastered on my mouth and finally removed my blindfold. There I saw his face once again, his undoubtedly handsome face. His beautiful blue eyes, those pretty long eyelashes, his well-pointed nose, and his sexy pinkish lips.

"Okay, you can stop describing my face now. I feel a little uncomfortable."

My face heated. I tried to cover my face using my hands. I can tell that my face has the same color as a tomato at this moment.

"T-Then stop reading my mind!" I stuttered.

"Does it hurt?" He suddenly asked.

My eyebrows furrowed, "The what?"

Alucard pointed my forehead. I nodded and glared at him, "A little, but do you really have to do tha—?" I stopped mid-sentence when I felt a kiss on my forehead.

My face grew hotter, my heart starts to beat rapidly again. Gosh, this feeling again and he's the only man who can make me feel that way.

I avoided his gaze and stared at the only window that's giving light here in the room.

"Why did you bring me here? Where are my friends?" I asked.

I felt the bed sank, he's sitting beside me. He placed his head on my shoulder while holding my right hand. I need to calm myself down, he might hear my heart beating so loud.

"Don't worry, I didn't kill them. Well, I was planning to but then I remembered you. You'll hate me if I kill your friends. I let them go. They're back to your empire." He explained while putting his left arm around me and pulled me closer to him.

"Then why did you take me here?" I asked again, he did not answer my first question.

He chuckled and brushed my hair using his fingers, "Am I not allowed to bond with my own mate? I missed you, Miya, my goddess."

I sighed, "Alu—"

"Did you miss me?"

"Of course I miss you! It's just that, our Empires, the rules... You know what I'm talking about, Alucard. What if someone knows—"

He hushed me, "No one will know unless someone tells them. Can we forget about our problems for three days, Miya? I blushed and pushed him away from me, "I know, you don't have to say it again."

I was only 16 that time when I knew about the 'mate bond' and I also knew that you were my mate on the same day. I have to wait three years before I can approach you since we need to be both 18 and I'm older by one year to you. I came to your castle the moment you turned 18."

I frowned, "How did you know?? Is that even possible? You came to our castle but I didn't see you there..."

"An astrologer told me."

I gaped, "Really? I've never met one in my entire life. I want to meet and thank her."

His expression changed and smiled sadly, "Unfortunately, she died."

My eyes widened, "W-What..?"

He stared at the window and didn't say anything. The room is quiet again. Should I speak and change the subject?

"I didn't get a chance to meet you on your birthday because someone stopped me and almost killed me."

My mouth hung open and faced him, "Almost killed you?? Who did that to you?! I will kill him or her myself!"

He shook his head, "If I tell you who it was, I guarantee you won't kill him."

"Just tell me—"

"It's Estes, he's the person who almost killed me."
