31 Chapter 31

She was still having a conversation in her head, holding the shower gel in one hand, when the glass door slid open and Mack Taylor's very, very male body stepped in beside her.

"I missed you," were the first words out of his mouth.

He slid his fingers into her wet hair to cup her head and took her mouth in a kiss that went from sweet to bruising in sixty seconds flat. His tongue thrust between her lips and swept inside, scorching her soft flesh and sparking every one of the tiny nerves.

Any resolve she had left to hold herself a little aloof disappeared in the stream of hot water and the furnace of his kiss. She wrapped her fingers around his wrists, holding on for dear life, as he fed from her mouth. This kiss seemed to go on forever until she thought she might die from lack of oxygen.

As if sensing her need he tore his mouth from hers with obvious reluctance.
