Drama in the castle

Evelyn thought the name was familiar, but she could remember exactly who. Maybe the person was not important enough for her to remember.

"You should go ask Raziel." Evelyn suggested, but the king looked thoughtful.

"This is not the document here before. He changed it, and replaced it with a very similar one. The real one had Dahlia's name, and this one has this Luciana. When and how did he change it?" The king asked in confusion.

"I am not sure. He came here a few days ago. I think the day before the day we got that fake invitation from Woodrow." Evelyn said. "I think he wanted to do something here, but he left when he saw me in here."

"That explains it. Raziel was the one behind the fake invitation. Only I don't understand how he managed to get their stamp. Maybe he has an insider."

"Or maybe it is Dahlia." Evelyn said with a roll of her eyes.

"Why do you think so?" The king curiously asked.

"She is the insider. She would definitely have people inside that would help her steal the stamp. It is actually easy for her." Evelyn explained. "And have you ever wondered if Dahlia ran away on her own? Maybe she does not want to marry the prince, and that is why she refused to take the oath. And maybe she actually supports the prince marrying this Luciana nobody, and that is why she ran away."

The king saw logic in what Evelyn had said. "If that is the case, we have to get rid of this Luciana."

"I agree. We just have to find out who she is." She nodded in agreement with him.

The king then called some servants, and sent them to search for her.

Raziel on the other hand knows that Luciana would not be safe if they find out about her. So he went to her room again.

"What is it this time prince Raziel?" She asked, surprised by his urgency.

"You need to come with me now." He told her.

"Come with you where?"

He didn't say anything to her in response. Instead, he walked to her and scooped her up in his arms bridal style.

"Prince Raziel! What is this all about?! I deserve to know where you are taking me to with such urgency."

"You asked me to protect you. That is exactly what I am doing. Now be quiet." He then took her out of the window, jumped down, and zoomed off.

Luciana wondered if she was in trouble, or he just wanted to carry someone. This was the third time he was carrying her.

Raziel only stopped in front of a house. It was a little small, but it looked fine.

"Where is this and what are we doing here?" Luciana asked, trying to wiggle out of his arms, but the prince didn't let her.

"Be still Lucy." He then took her to the front door of the house. He knocked on the door twice, and someone opened it immediately.

"Your highness." The person then made way for them to pass. Luciana wished the stubborn prince would at least put her down.

He only put her down when he entered a room, and on a bed.

"This is where you will stay until the trouble you are involved in dies down." Raziel declared.

"Which trouble?" Luciana asked, her brows furrowed in confusion.

"I will explain everything to you later okay. Luke and Arlo will be here to attend to your every need."

"Who are those?"

"Luke was the one who opened the door. Arlo is probably busy. They are part of my army, but they are disguised as commoners. I would have had Lorenzo stay with you, but I might need him."

Raziel then turned to leave, but Luciana grabbed one of his hands.

"How long will I be staying here?"

"Just tonight."

Luciana wondered what trouble he was going to face that made him bring her there. It must be related to his wedding that had been postponed, and Dahlia that went missing. She was sure Dahlia was safe though. But she wondered how he was going to end all the trouble, including the one involving her that she still do not know about, in one night.

"How? Are you going to need help? What can I do for you?"

"Just stay here and be safe."

"Raziel!" She called when he turned to leave again.

"I like when you call me like that." He then gave her a sly smile and a wink before zooming off. Luciana sighed, then stood up to look for Luke and Arlo.

When Raziel got back to the castle, the first person to stop him at the gate was Lorenzo.

"Your highness. I have been waiting for you. The king had been searching for you. Lady Dahlia had been found, and is presently locked up in chains now by her parents. The servants are going around, searching for a girl named Luciana."

That only meant that his father found the document. He had replicated the document, but made a few but significant changes. Raziel thanked his stars that he was quick to take Luciana away. The rest would not be much of a problem.

"Your highness what are you going to do?" Lorenzo asked. "How can I help?"

"I need you to keep Evelyn company." Raziel said, then he whispered something to him which made Lorenzo's eyes shine wide.

"I can't do that. She's the Queen." Lorenzo refused whatever prince Raziel said to him.

"And I am the prince. You should obey."

"What if..."

"No what ifs. Do as I say. I will take care of everything after." Raziel ordered, and Lorenzo only nodded. "And by the way, where is Dahlia locked?"

"She's locked in her room, and her room is totally guarded. Her parents instructed that the guards should not leave her alone for even a moment. I think the Duke and Duchess are already used to her behaving like this."

Raziel knew Dahlia was stubborn, but he didn't know the extent of her stubbornness. He wanted to see if she was okay, but he had something more important to handle. He went to find one of his female soldiers, after Lorenzo took his leave.

Later that night, a girl dressed in the castle's maid attire went to the king and queen's chamber. She gently knocked on the door.

Evelyn who was awake angrily came out to see the being that had dared to disturb the sleep of the king and queen.

She was even more annoyed that it was a scrawny maid.

"What are you doing in the king's chamber, and who permitted you to come?"

"I am sorry your majesty, but the duchess said she wants to talk to you. Alone."

Evelyn took a mental note to discipline the maid later, but she was a excited to see the Duchess. In her kingdom, she wasn't included in serious matters, so being personally invited to see the Duchess was a big deal to her.

"Where is she?" She asked, trying to hide her excitement.

"She's outside the castle your majesty. She said she does not want any extra company."

"Lead the way." Evelyn ordered.

"Yes your majesty." The maid bowed, before leading Evelyn outside.

They went towards the castle's gate, and Evelyn began to wonder why the duchess chose to meet her there.

To her surprise, the maid just zoomed off with vampiric speed when she got to the gate. Evelyn's blood boiled. Now she would not recognize her to punish her anymore. Anyway she could just punish every servant in the castle.

She then began to look around, finding the duchess. But a large hand soon covered her mouth from behind. The person held her firm so she would not turn and see his face. He then leaped away with her.

Raziel took the arrow he had previous stolen from Luciana's room. He also held a dagger in one hand. He then went to his father's chamber.

The man was already asleep.

Raziel walked to his bed, careful not to make a sound. It was something he had mastered over the years.

When he got to the bed, he stared at his father's sleeping figure for a while. He had some of his features, but he knew he looked more like his mother. The mother that died because of him, and now he was planning to kill her brother.

Raziel knew that his father would kill his uncle if he refuses to marry Dahlia. Then he would force the people to surrender, kill the ones that refused, and enslave the humans. That had always been his way.

Raziel took in a sharp breath, lifted the arrow to his father's heart, and stabbed him.
