11 Staring is rude.

"Should we go in then?" He asks and both Amber and Chloe nod.

"Okay, well feel free to look around, explore whenever and I'll find someone to escort you to your rooms." He smiled charmingly, before putting his arms behind his back and nodding at the people as he walked.

"He seems to be the thing around here, isn't he?" Amber whispered to her mother, her eyes still watching the man. The way he walked as well was addicting.

"Manager maybe." Chloe shrugged, her attention directed to the free food passing around.

Amber looked around the building, there were many doors, she was curious as to know what lies behind them, "Hey mom—" She called, a large stairway catching her eye, "I think I might catch up on that exploring thing."

"Go ahead sweety, I'll be exploring as well, right over there—" She pointed at all you can eat shrimp alfredo, "I wonder how much can fit in my mouth." She laughed and hurriedly made her way over to the food.

Amber smiled and then looked up to the stairs, "mhm." She folded her bottom lip, noticing that no one seemed to hold the attention of others' actions. Then maybe if she sneaks up for a couple of minutes she'll come back down without anyone knowing.

The man did say she can explore. Not that he specified where.

Amber quietly walked a distance from people, cautious not to be aware of the guards.

She looked over her shoulders again, her hand on the handrail before running stairs after another. It was the longest flight of stairs she'd ever climb.

She curved the corner, now breathing heavily, finally, she had made it.

'Massive props to the people who have to go through that every day.'

Or maybe not.

She turned to her left, sighing as she took in the sight of a shiny elevator.

So she had to walk all those stairs for nothing

Amber walked along the red carpet, looking at each painting on the walls as she passed. They looked ancient and consisted of some scenery and others of people who looked as if they were from an old time.

Old owners probably.

Amber stopped at one specifically, it was a painting of a beautiful woman, blonde hair blowing in the air with a sword that crashed into one of the many people storming in to attack her.

She continued, watching the multiple doors but she wasn't about to go in them without consent.

She turned on her heels and was about to head back to the stairs when she heard murmuring coming from the end of the hall.

There were ptwo ways in which she could walk, doors continued on both sides. She listened in closely to the whispering once again and decided to take the left.

It led to a door to which she stopped in front of, leaning her head to listen. This door wasn't like the others, it was covered with strange symbols and patterns, there was also a large lock on it.

Amber shook the lock in her hand before putting her ears against it. She closed her eyes trying to listen in when a loud thud followed by a low growl erupted from behind it.

This gave Amber a shock, she screamed and pushed off the door only to fall into a strong grip instead of the floor.

Hands snaked across her waist and she looked up to see a very angry face staring down at her.

"You're not supposed to be here!" The man snarls and positions her to her feet.

"I heard something!" Curious Amber looked at the door then back to the man who raised an eyebrow at her.

"There's nothing in there," He says, rolls up his sleeve, and strongly grabs her wrist, "I don't know why they insist on bringing someone like you here."

"Someone like me?" How could he possibly tell her what she clearly heard?

"Please be quiet," He ran a hand through his hair and pulled her along with him to which he pushed the buttons on the elevator, escorting her in with a bored expression on his face and entering, himself, after.

Amber looked at the ceiling at the elevator, trying not to look at him or ask questions. She fiddled with her fingers while looking at him. He sure was handsome. Tall and muscular, his hair in brown-ish blonde locks on top of his head, his jawline sharp and chiseled, also tensed. His blue eyes somehow went perfectly with his tanned glistening skin.

"Don't you know staring is rude?" He glanced at her with a smug on his face as she nervously shook her head.

"Don't you know violently grabbing a lady by the wrist and forcing her out is rude?" Amber stubbornly looked up at him, with her hands crossed over her chest, "No because seriously…"

"Not if she has no right exploring private property, nor is she welcomed here."

"B—"

Ding!

The elevator went off and before he could touch her she purposely held her hands out at him, "Take me away, for I have committed a crime" She rolled her eyes sarcastically, "Please, no need to grope me."

The man sighed and took her combined hands.

"Freely. You see, that's all it took." She murmured, "So extra for nothing."

"Who the fuck let you in?" He asks, looking through the crowd while carrying her for the exit.

Amber winced at his shouting. Thoughts going through her head of the words she could say to him.

"Can't you speak?" He stopped and shook her, "I'm ordering an answer from you."

"I would but the things I possibly want to say to you right now maybe my ticket out of here."

From the way, he was scowling she was sure he would score a vein on his forehead.

"That's enough!" He hissed but before he could lay his hand on her wrist again, he paused.

"Arvieon, leave the poor girl alone."  Arsan interrupted, walking up to them with his hands behind his back.

She saw his jaw tick, "Was it you?" He snarled, "We didn't agree with this!"

"I don't think we needed your permission, Arveion." Arsan gestured to her,"Let. Her. Go." He spoke so irritated, Amber wondered who the boss was, both seemed to have no respect for each other whatsoever.

The scowl young Arvieon gave Arsan was threatening and Amber wondered what was going to happen next.

Arsan stood in front of Arvieon as if to say 'try something' while Arveion just stood there, hands clenched by his side and his jaw clenched, high and begging for a challenge.

"I just hope you can back up your words, pretty boy." Arveion teased, a slanted smirk on lips.

"One way to test that—" They both stared at each other, waiting for another to make a move.

"Please try not to make a show, boys." Amber whipped her head to the side to follow the voice. A beautiful woman came up to them, her hips rocking to the sides as she moved, dressed in a black strapless dress accompanied by a pair of black gloves.

She was gorgeous, she had burgundy hair that flowed over her shoulders and a big smile on her face.

"Indigo" The woman spoke so gently, the smile still on her when she shook Amber's hands. "And you must be Amber Lane.."

"Uhm yeah?" Amber questioned, still confused about the whole situation.

"Adorable." Indigo creepily pinched her cheeks and turned her attention back to the men, her smile immediately falling, "Don't you two have no shame for yourself, for your information Arveion she is indeed welcomed here now make your muscles useful and escort the beautiful young lady to her room please."

She gestured to Arveion who was still scowling like a wild animal, "Didn't you come with someone else as well? Yes?" She nodded, "Arsan can you go make that her mother is right by her room, please? You're responsible for her."

"We're staying in separate rooms?" She was sure one room would be enough for herself and her mother, "We could share a room."

"Why of course you're staying in different rooms. Have some fun, relax a little, ain't nothing gonna go wrong once alone. We offer great security here. Ain't nothing could go wrong, now go on."

She made a 'shoo' gesture with her hands and Amber walked off beside Arveion.

The heat radiating from him was intoxicating, giving that silent but deadly vibe. Amber gulped beside his tall figure, he wasn't even saying anything which made the silence so loud.

"So that lady back there, really nice, by the way, was she like your boss?" Arveion stopped walking at her question and turned to face her, bending his 6-foot level to hers and snarled, "I work for no one." His minty breath fanned her face, and something about the way his brown eyes shone made her step back, a thought in her head that she knew them somewhere.

Her heart pounded when he continued to look into his eyes and she narrowed her eyes at his taking in every detail, analyzing, and wanting to calculate them in a way.

Solve them.

But before she could put a finger on it he broke the contact and turned in front of him again, "Your room's right ahead."

Amber stopped in front of her room, "Thank you...Arveion right?"

Arveion paid no attention to the girl, he just shrugged a cold shoulder and turned his back to her with no reply. No smile on his face, only his same plain old nonchalant behavior, he wasn't going to stick up for a girl like everyone else nor was he interested.

"Well then bye I guess." Amber rolled her eyes at Arveion's cold gesture, it's not like she needed a reply but still, it made her uncomfortable. There was something she didn't like about him.

Amber pushed open the door to the room and as she expected, the place was mind-blowing. She gaped, was the whole room really for her alone? It was about triple the size of her bedroom!

She eagerly lunged at the tray of cookies in front of her, taking a seat on the white leather love chair and openly making herself comfortable for the large tv in front of her. She was going to stay there for a while, investing herself on a date of bingeing Netflix—Stranger things and stuffing her mouth with cookies and candy.

"Mom must be going nuts in her room."
