7 An actual angel?

Death removes the blade from her face and they look up at the ceiling, the broken wood and dust blocking their eyes from seeing the cause.

Amber coughed and narrowed her eyes at the broken equipment on the floor.

"Let the girl go, Death." She heard an angry snarl through the dust, and then once the dust calmed, there was a glorious light, radiating this light was a handsome man with deep contorted abs, his clothes looking to be torn off from all the bruises on his chest. He wore short khaki pants, and his brown wavy hair was tousled and dripping with sweat.

Standing before her in a stance of battle with sword in his hand, Amber couldn't help but gape at the man. Her mouth was almost touching the floor, she had to be dreaming as the man had the big, long fluffy wings of an angel.

Sure she believed in angels but to see one in her actual house was mind-blowing, she felt as if she was about to faint! And he was gorgeous!

His presence gave off comfort and she fell under the spell of his mesmerizing blue eyes.

They both exchanged glances for a minute, it looked as if he was trying to talk to her through his eyes, she stepped back feeling like that was what he wanted and he nodded.

"Oh, Arveion is that you? Isn't this just great, what a heartfelt moment. This lovely family reunion. You missed me didn't you—" Death reached his arms out at the angel as if asking for a hug.

"Where's Davis?" Arvion asked, looking intently at Death.

"Davis? He came to visit me as well, do you believe it? I feel so special, it's sad he couldn't stay longer." He let out a dry laugh from behind his throat, making the room uncomfortable. Death shrugged his big shoulders, "If only I had known you two were going to be here, I would've gotten dressed for the scene." He dropped his scythe and lifted the carpet over it acting like it wasn't in his hand in the first place.

"I am not here for your childish games Death, what did you do to my brother, I know he was here." If there was one thing Arvieon didn't mess with was family, his only weakness and the goddess had doubted sending him out for Amber because knowing him, he may not give her his life's protection.

He had only come to Earth because of his brother. Though he would help her, it didn't mean he was willing to die for her, he was an angel that preferred doing things his way and having his own decisions.

"You know I never liked your cloak Death, I won't get to see you bleed because it blends in with that stupid cloak of yours—" Arveion smiled, and walked closer," However I'll just have to tear right through it, and see your face as you cry  for mercy." He smirked.

"Woah tear through my cloak dude we're not even that close." Death said sarcastically, his voice teasing and confident that made Amber want to stab him herself.

"You know you're my favorite man to see, may I ask how are you going? This is so exciting, a reunion well called for. Why so pressed though?"

"Death..." He looked over at Amber who gulped, "Leave the girl's house at once."

"Panty blocker, why spoil the fun? Amber and I were just having a little talk, weren't we now Amber?" Death turned his head to her and she shook her head.

"I, nope, he tried to **** me! Yes, he did!"

"Woah, how she turned the tables when she had just been over me begging for my love, such a stubborn girl, I guess I'll have to discipline you later."

"There will be no such thing, allow me to show you why?" Amber watched as the angel pointed his blade at Death.

"Really? I just wanted a little reunion but if it's a fight you ask I don't see why not. Now tell me, Amber, choose your side, if you choose me I promise I'll return a favor." Death chuckled, internally making her want to puke.

She initially thought about showing him the finger but knowing him that can end in many ways.

"You choose Me? Oh, how splendid—"

"But I didn't—" Amber frowned, taking another step back. The guy was confident.

"Then with that, let the battle begin." The demon lunged at the angel, pushing his sharp nails in his waist.

At a corner, Amber winced as he pushed deeper and licked the blood.

Arvieon shifted on his feet and made a shield with his wings when Death attacked with his scythe, not even cutting the steel wings.

Amber watched as the two destroyed her house, throwing and punching each other around. The demon elbowed the angel before hovering above his face, full of hate with the scythe nth at his neck.

"Come on, Arveion, I would have thought you would have gotten stronger from our last encounter."

"Maybe you've forgotten that scar on your neck"

Death snarled and pushed the blade harder, slightly cutting the angel's neck but before it could puncture through, Arveion reached his knee, kicked him off, and flew to the roof.

Death's back hit the ceiling causing another hole before he fell to the floor in a thud.

'Couldn't they have taken it outside?'

Almost as if knowing, the angel smiled, "I promise I will replace that—'' When he wasn't looking, Death had escaped.

He murmured strange words under his breath and hands came from the ground running up the angel's body and trapping him. He ultimately tried cutting them but it was too late.

"It's been a great reunion but I'm afraid that something came up. Duty calls! Also your brother still failed at the end but just know since I feel sorry for the guy, he did try but similarly to you he was too weak."

"What did you do to him—"Arveion tried moving but he couldn't, the hands had long nails that grown and clawed into his body such as his waist, lower abdomen, back, and stomach. "Death—?" He called.

But it was too late. Death gave him a smirk along with a wave before disappearing into black mist.

Amber could sense that the angel was in pain, as he gritted his teeth and his body stopped forcing the hands. He was also in pain from the loss of his brother.

She rushed over to him, "Look if you stay there any longer you'll die. Your body is growing weak under the hold. Please your brother wouldn't want you to die. Wake up! " Amber screamed like she was feeling his pain.

She tried removing one of the hands but it stuck onto her wrist, twisting and digging into her flesh.

When almost covered, Amber cried thinking he was dead but just when it was about to reach his face, the angel opened his eyes and Amber watched as his wings glowed, crushing and escaping the hands.

He too was taller and looked down at her, "Thank you." She shook her head, resisting the urge to look at his eyes again, they were so pretty.

"Uhm, it-it was nothing...thank you." She gave him a half-smile and he emotionlessly nodded, putting a hand on her head.

"What a mess I created…" He walked around and kicked a broken piece of wood on the floor.

Arveion cracked his neck followed by his muscular arms and then his back where his wings retreated into his flesh.

He turned to face her, his face stern, "I—" But it then fell, his eyes going close and his body falling weak.

"Arveion…" Amber caught him in her arms before he could collide with the floor, his sweaty body heavy against hers.

She could feel his bulky muscles twitching as she lay him on the chair.
