15 "We fight."

She tiptoed to the door looking at Arveion with uncertainty on her face, and just when she was about to enter, only to trip on a stone in front of her, alarming the creature, not more than a split second later to which it lunged at her, swinging its tentacle but missing her at a hair.

It slid down the hall on its feet but then building momentum to reach her once again, reaching out its tentacles forward with every lung.

Amber dashed into the room, locking the door when the creature came back at her. It pushed its tentacle through the door, feeling out for Amber who screamed on the other side.

Arveion sighed, wiping sweat from his forehead; he already knew that he was going to have to help her. "Hey, over here you asshole." He cursed, gaining its attention before skillfully turning on his feet and running through the hall. Was he seriously risking his life for that stupid human girl? He should have just left her, to make it look like an accident. Arveion smirked at that, sliding on the floor when the creature lunged again, cutting off a tentacle, 'That's a great idea.' He thought he bet no one would even miss her.

"Mom! Mom where are you?"Amber wandered around the room, her hands covering her mouth when she saw the masseuse dead body. The stench was unbearable and felt sick to her stomach that something so horrible can happen.

Worried flushed over when she didn't see her mother, her stomach already starting to church the longer she stayed. She stumbled into the bathroom looking around to see her mother out in the bathtub, broken glass and water everywhere.

Amber ran over to her, her jaw clenched when she sees the state she was in. There was blood on the tiled wall from her head and when Amber lifted her shirt there was a gashing stab hole.

"Mom! Oh my gosh, we gotta go." She cried, shaking her shoulders. She then checked her wrist and exhaled when she felt her pulse. What if she didn't arrive earlier.

She then held her arms placing them over her shoulder so she could carry her. It seemed she was stabbed by someone, preferably the person she met at the door. This made Amber more desperate to leave now that her mother was losing blood.

Arveion was still dancing with the creature, sliding to his right when it came at him once again and punctured its skin. However, no matter how much he would cut it, the creature's skin was too slimy to cut with the durability of his sword which meant he had to aim for the soft part in its head to finish it.

Arveion faced the creature when it was ready to lunge again but this time only stayed still when it came at him. "Come at me." He yelled, hitting his sword onto the floor, seeing that Amber had come out with her mother and creating a distraction for them.

The creature's backbones vibrated to the noise, its slippery skin skating side to side when it ran, screaming in a roar before jumping at Arveion—however, Arveion knew just what to do sliding under the creature and grabbing onto its tail to swing onto it's back.

He held onto its slippery skin, ready to plunge the sword into its neck but feeling just and an ounce of pain from the blade entering through its tender skin, the creature went insane, feeling Arveion on its back and started to hit itself against the walls, causing Arveion to lose grip of his sword and fall lower down its back immediately getting caught around his waist by its tail and flung across the hall.

"Fuck!" Arveion coughed when his back collided to the floor, not getting a chance to move as the creature wasted no time at coming for him.

The creature hovered over Arveion, showing its multiple teeth before snapping at his face, luckily he dodged in time.

The creature snapped his teeth again and this time Arveion had to catch it with his hands, its sharp teeth sucking into his arm, "Mother fucker!" He cursed and from not too far away Amber looked over her shoulder.

Since she was carrying her mother she was already moving at a slow pace. And wondered how much time it would take if she was to help him. She sighed, still she couldn't just leave him there to die like that, she thought.

'Can't believe I'm doing all this.' Arveion thought, still struggling against the demon. The son of a bitch left after causing the demons to come in the first place.

"Arveion." Amber picked up the dagger earlier from the dust, "Catch!"

Arveion smirked, turning his neck to face her, 'So she came back.'

She slid the blade across the floor, landing not too far away from fingers. He grunted, applying back force at the creature, its teeth going deeper into his skin to reach the blade.

Once the blade was felt on his fingers he quickly clenched the dagger in his hands just in time to stab the demon from below its neck, its mouth falling before it could make another snap.

The creature's body went limp, falling on top of him—He exhaled pushing the creature to the side, closing his eyes but then reopened them again when he felt a shadow hovering over him, "What do you want?" He ran a tired hand through his sweaty hair.

"Nothing?" Amber asks with a smirk on their face, "I just saved your stubborn ass. Thank you."

"And I saved yours. You're welcome." He replied in a low uninterested tone and Amber rolled her eyes at his confidence before holding her hand out to him.

"Thanks." He says, quickly withdrawing his hand from her once he was on his feet and pulling out his sword from the demon's back, "Where's your mother? We have to go."

Amber rushed through the hall, Arveion following when she picked up her mother from the wall.

"Elevators broken." He said from up head before walking down to her, taking Chloe's other arm in order so that they'll move faster.

"We have to take the stairs."

They both held both sides of her hands as they hurriedly walked down the stairs.

Once at the bottom, Arveion made his way to the window slightly opening the long curtains, it was already too late as the place was already packed with demons, the guards attempting to fight them off on the outside.

"Outside's packed." He sighed and ran a hand through his hair, "Fuck, guess you're staying."

"Hey—" Amber layed her mother on the chair before turning to face him," You make that sound like a bad thing—"

"We're under attack." Arsan finally came down the stairs, the others following behind him.

"Yeah well no shit sherlock. Where were you minutes ago?"

Amber's head went light, her heart already starting to quicken of all the things that could go wrong. She still wasn't even sure what was happening.

"What now?" She looks at everyone, her body falling onto the chair in an attempt to slow her racing heart.

"We do what we do best." Indigo stepped out from the back, and in a circle, everyone looked at each other when she said, "We fight."
