89 Boudoir Glamour Inc. #89

My companion seemed very happy that day.

My sense of her sparkle lingered in the fore of my thoughts.

I sensed a winged girl. The whirlwind that brushes close along my face and fingers. Followed by the rush of literal air as she landed.

The winged girl looked at me with measured smiles, then frowned.

My companion and she looked at each other sternly. An expression I never expected.

The winged girl swept off with a slap of wings and vanished high up. Out of sight.

My friend took us back to our canvas tent, holding our hands tenderly.

"Approvals for our being together have been moving forward. This thing today. I did not expect it. I did not think.. Well, I know she is not making an actual petition for you.. to belong to her. I think I know her well enough. She is testing my resolve. Setting up a battle between us. A battle I must win in order to prove I am worthy to select a man."

My friend never touched me much, except for hands and sometimes helping me lie down.

That was true when she had me rest on pillows. Settled to face to face.

I must have napped or slept, because the sky was darker when I woke up.

She was gone. I had the feeling she was very far away, but I knew she was close. Both of us were close in our hearts.
