105 Boudoir Glamour Inc. #105

The dwarves are master craftsmen. When an elf assists in design for purpose; the result is a reliable marvel. A marvel that can be built again and again by dwarf workshops.

For a long time, trade in mithrl infused products has meant safer and simpler lives for all Fae kingdoms.

Here, though, I must confess a discovery.

The dwarves that mine for mithrl and the dwarves in the guild that grades it for exchange; they are dying sooner than other groups of dwarves.

I have traced a disturbing hypothesis. Mining dwarves run the ore crumbs across their hands. Seeking proof that there is mithrl in it. Taking the dust and crumbs that react into a special container.

The guild dwarves refine the ore into finger tip sized ingots. Sometimes re-smelting and refining over a series of months.

The most adept refiners are dying the soonest. The miners are dying soon. All from different causes. It is as if life was being subtracted in working mithrl for sale.

Elf artisans have observed a similar effect in working mithrl designs onto armor. They grow white-silver hair sooner in life than the others.

I worry that the popular esteem for beautifully wise faces hides a growing secret. Elves are affected by close and frequent manipulation of mithrl. Not in shorter lives, but affected none the less.

I do not wish to be an alarmist. This trade in mithrl products has been very helpful.

Can we Fae call ourselves pure, if we allow the lives of dwarves to subtracted of?
