3 Animal Farm - 003

Vi Lin wasn't as hurried as she was before, taking her time to find out how the farm worked. She noticed that the animals produced Carbon Dioxide and depending on their breaths, they would be able to produce certain amounts.

The Platinum Cow could take long, deep breaths, producing 5 Carbon Dioxide every time it breathed out. However, the Horned Bunny took short, shallow breaths and produced 1 Carbon Dioxide at a time.

She noticed, upon closer inspection, that there was an egg in the corner. She lingered closer towards it, and noticed that it more closely resembled a pile of pink petals. She gently caressed it, and a screen floated in front of her.

Vi Lin was curious about the small bundle of petals, but decided to not question it. She, with her 750 Carbon Dioxide bubbles, bought several more animals. It seems that each animal will multiply by two the longer that they stood in there, despite there being only one.

She quickly rubbed the pin, and with a rustle, she was back within the meadow. She gingerly stepped forward, aware of how light her body felt along with how much more flexible she was.

She checked her pockets which held a meticulously made fake identity card and several gold credits, worth several thousand copper credits. Of course, she also held several silver and copper credits as well, however, it was fewer.

Her name upon the identity card said "Lou," a single name, worth that of a commoner. It seemed appropriate for her. "Lou" with her shoe-less feet started fleeing the field, recounting how she once was this young.

As she laughed, she realized that, out of nowhere, a Horned Bunny from the farm appeared. It seemed that the Horned Bunny wanted to travel with her. She didn't deny that it was rather cute and seemed able to defend itself, and decided that it would be best.

Lou and the Horned Bunny ran, having her recount the way she had came from a nearby village to enjoy the scenery. Her body was of 14 years old, just old enough to be considered a married-off adult.

After all, even though cultivators, warriors, and martial artists existed, as well as the oh-so few magically talented folks, and that they lived for hundreds to thousands of years, the average commoner lived for roughly thirty years. This was due to the fact that everyone knew nothing of medicine and thought that just praying would help.

Medicine Pills didn't even exist here! To Lou, or rather, Vi Lin, this was a serious issue that she felt needed to be taken care of.

Up ahead, she spotted a refined dirt path, one that lead to both a capital city and a village near it. Her white maiden dress was slightly dirty. She used a spell that roughly every commoner knew, called Clean, and had the dirt disappear.

She knew that the dirt didn't really disappear, but rather floated from the cloth into the air and became small particles. This was common knowledge for those who studied the sciences within this world.

She thought that this world that she was in didn't make much sense, but didn't wonder too long as she already went onto the trail. She was now going to go back the village, and where she was going to get enough materials to make a living.
