13 No Thank You, Mr. Manager Pt.1

I raised my head and turned around "oh yes I am sorry for keeping you here, Mr. Manager."

"Mina, why do you always call me 'Mr. Manager?'" he asked using hand quotations.

Was he offended by it, "well, it was too hard to say your last name, so I thought it would fine to call you by your title, sorry if I have offended you in any way."

"No, no, no, Mina it's not that at all," he said reassuring me.

Trailing on he said, " it's just that you have been working here for three years, six months, and nine days."

Wow has it been that long? Wait a second, who the heck counts that, he must be a really lonesome man.

Feeling awkward, I said, "oh I hadn't realized that it had been that long."

"Yeah, so I think you should call me Bruce," he said.

What? Stunned by what he just said, I asked, "um what do you mean?"

Chuckling, he said, "oh Mina, your adorable, I said you can call me Bruce instead of your usual calling."

Adorable? He must be thinking that I act like his children; "well, um, boss.."

"Bruce," he said interrupting me.

Beginning again I said, "well.. Um.. Bruce, I just think it's inappropriate to call you by your first name."

He sighed, and put his hand on my forehead rubbing it, "it's not good for a lady to furrow her brows."

Biases much. Confused by this conversation, I hadn't even noticed that he was now sitting next to me. Feeling uncomfortable, I tried to scoot away from him, but I realized I had the window side of the booth seat. Staring at the storm outside, I turned back to him, when I felt him place his hand on my thigh. Unamused, I just looked at him, thinking maybe he accidently touching my thigh, he'll move it.

"Listen Mina, I don't think you are understanding me, so I'll explain it clearly. Did you know that my father owns this shop?," he stated.

"Um no.. I didn't know that," I said, still looking at the hand making circular motions on my thigh.

"Yeah, he'll be retiring soon, and the shop will belong to me," he said pretentiously.

Continuing he said, "you know what that means right?"

I said, "that you will take your father's place?"

Saying happily, "yup, I am an only child, so it was pretty obvious.

Anyways, Mina, I recall you telling me you were having some money problems, so this could be a great opportunity for you to."

Almost ignoring the fact that his hand was on my thigh, I wondered If I was going to get a promotion, until I felt his hand move a little higher.

I could not take it anymore, pushing his hand away I stood up and said, "I'm sorry boss, but could not do that to me?!"

"Mina, what are you talking about?," he asked innocently.

"I respect you and all but you were caressing my thigh and I don't think it's appropriate to do in a place of business," I stated loudly.

Chuckling again he said, "Mina, it was just a light touch, I think you're overreacting." Overreacting. I WAS OVERREACTING?!!!
