15 Chap 15: Dungeons are Pretty Much the Same

I came back to the Nev city which is the one I was transported to when I came to this world for the first time, I realized there was an adventurers guild here written in the exact same font so I went in to the place and said I had come from a lower world and I wanted to know if they had anything to do with the other adventurers guild. I learned that the adventurers guild is owned by a company named Universe company which sounded pretty strange and they explained to me that they were the first company to start traveling between worlds and after more than 7 million years of traveling they had set up quite the bases in almost every world, they had the most advanced technology and they were the undisputed most powerful company in the known universe. I learned a lot about their technology and all those flashy signs and moving signs in the air seem to be their technology. They also told me that, the company had a virtual universe that you could play games, learn skills, browse internet, eat food, and whatever you wanted to do there was even war games created by the company itself to chose geniuses from the whole universe. I took my adventurers badge out and after checking my level out they changed my adventurers badge to generic level badge I had to pay 10 gold fee but its not that much.

I was looking at the adventurers guild missions ad there was a mission about filling head count and I just took it with me to ask about it to the staff, they told me that there was a dungeon near the city about 500 km away from the city and the dungeon didn't allow any group under 10 people to enter the dungeon. I was shocked since I thought the dungeon was something that the upper worlds created on lower level worlds to progress but turns out the dungeons just came out of nowhere and even the Universe company had no idea why they occurred many gods looked into it but nothing.

I was just about to leave the guild to head for the dungeon thinking it would be easy money and I would see the power of the monsters in this world, I heard a man shouting saying

"Hey man stop I have something to talk to you about"

I turned around and looked to see if it was addressed to me and I couldn't see who said it so I decided to turn back and keep on moving forward but when I turned my head back a man was looking at me from a 10cm distance it gave me quite the creeps and I jumped back a little.

""Wtf man don't appear out of nowhere like that you scared me""

"I wanted to talk to you about the headcount filling mission you accepted, I also wanted to join the same job but I didn't want to have to go to the dungeon in my own since I would be bored on the way can you wait a few minutes so I could get the mission and come back"

I was still thinking wtf you appear out of nowhere and the first thing you say before saying sorry or telling me who you are is for me to wait but I could clearly feel he was more powerful than I am so I just said

""Yeah, sure my name is Brady by the way whats yours""

He didn't even tell me his name and he ran to the counter accepted the mission, the tech here is way better than my old world so the money would be paid automatically upon completion of the quest, He came back and said

"My name is Andy Gill, I am one of the few chosen geniuses of this year, I placed first in both the gun destruction and sword's way, I am currently trying to hunt the people we are going into the dungeon with"

""Yeah sure and I am a god of destruction nice to meet you""

"Hey don't joke around about gods of destruction I have met a few of them and they are clearly nuts okay also you are just generic level, but your body is more powerful than mine when I was in generic level, I suggest you use the universal ring to enter a few games created by the Universe company, they most probably will choose you for their next batch of geniuses if you have even the sliver of ability in learning fighting skills"

""Wait you were serious I thought you were joking around""

"Nah, dead serious"

Then there was silence for about three minutes before Andy started talking that is, I am not really bothered by his talking and he is telling me all the tactics he used in his battles in the virtual world to get to number one on both games and told me about a few privileges he had after entering Universe company, I also asked about why short distance travel wasn't used turns out the amount of resources needed to teleport someone from a point to another doesn't change with the difference, and the resources needed might be small to boot the system up once but it would cost a lot to keep the constant teleports, and also the price would be really high too. the road wasn't that long and I didn't learn that much from him except a few more tactics on the games

We reached the dungeon entrance and there was a small townish thing next to the dungeon entrance called zone 2DD1 meaning it was a D city next to a dungeon in a 2nd grade world and it was the first city to be built around the dungeon, turns out onlg big cities have their name and the rest of the cities are just given numbers and letters as a codename to explain the city. The adventure team was staying at the inn called adventurers paradise, after checking in all the alcohol and food was free and you had chances to call over woman, man company for low prices that was why it was called adventurers paradise. We entered the inn and checked into the pre booked rooms for us the other adventurers in our team was actually pretty friendly since they booked the rooms for us.

It was dinner time, I left my room and went to the open buffet restaurant, Andy saw me from afar and came running shouting my name, we entered the cafeteria together and I ws starting to like the company of Andy more and more. I was learning a lot more from him too, just when he told me that people from different worlds connected to the system at different ages and in his world the minimum age to connect was 6 but he was born connected to system like some of the powerful monsters, someone from the rest of our group saw us and came over to ask if we we came to participate in the dungeon to fill the headcount.

I told them that we did, thanked them and asked them how much it costed for the rooms they got for us and I wanted to pay them the cost but the person who was closest to us who is most probably the group master told us it was on them since this was the first time we were working together, It felt somewhat fishy but I didn't think too much of it and I didn't know who Andy was hunting so I dropped the case and introduced myself

"" Hello I am Brady, and this guy next to me is Andy we are the ones who will be freeloading on you sorry for the trouble""

"Hello, my name is Lena I an the group leader of this raid and I have been with this team for a few years unfortunately we lost 3 members in the ancient wargrounds a few months back. You don't have to worry about it we are able to clear this dungeon pretty easily, with you two coming we are at 11 people and we can enter the dungeon now so we will wait until tomorrow 11 am and move out at about 12 am after all the preparation is done, you don't have to do anything throughout the whole dungeon if you can kill monsters you are allowed to but if you can't please don't low the party we are in need of quick cash and that is why we are doing this dungeon, all the monster bodies will belong to us you will be given 3 bodies after the dungeon is cleared, try to stay alive"

""Roger that, we will be ready by 11 tomorrow you don't have to worry about anything miss""

They left and I was really stiff since she was at least 1000 levels and she would definitely beat my ass

"You have no idea who she is right, You are lucky I am here otherwise you would have been monster food in a day or so, she is the Blood Maniac she kills and drinks the blood of her victims, all the other people following him are also maniacs who do the same kind of shit but she is different, she kills and drinks the blood of her victims to get their inheritance so she can learn skills without trying and combine those skills to get powerful, she is known to have a evolved tier S grade skill, you seem to have a generic tier S grade skill too but its a whole level under Lena's skill"

I was shocked to learn all this but I was also kind of happy that I had Andy with me

The next morning came and passed we reached the dungeon and at the entrance there was a barrier and there was also the sound of a man it asked us to form a group of at least ten and choose a group leader if we wanted to enter we did and entered as we talked the day before and on the way. The monster are of different kinds from what I have seen they are bug type of monsters but the lowest level of them seems to be at least level 700 or so.

There are mostly ants and bees in this dungeon but I saw some, centipedes and the like, I killed a few monsters and I leveled from level 251 to level 258 in 3 monsters at first I got 3 levels after killing a bee, and I got 2 levels after killing another bee and I got 2 more levels after killing an ant monster. Well we reached the end of the dungeon in a week and everything was going pretty good, our frontline members were beating the crap out of about 200 ants and then I heard Lena scream some words and use a magic I didn't know what it was but I also didn't care I thought Andy got the wrong guys since they didn't attack us for a whole week. After Lena's incantation was done there was just silence the frontlines stopped fighting the monsters and they became more defensive they looked to be waiting for something and I was also curious thinking lena was going to use an epic move or so but at the next second the 4 people who came to fill the headcount was replaced with some of the frontliners and we were stuck in between monsters and the frontliners and it seemed the group was ready to kill us if were to back of from the monsters, Andy took out his sword for the first time and unsheathed it and started running towards Lena like she was a cockroach he could crush at any time and to be honest I couldn't even see he was running towards Lena. I just saw a blur moving towards her from our direction. At the next second I saw Lena's upper body sliding down from her lower body, all the men that surrounded us were dead, Andy killed all of them in a second and the monsters felt Andy's aura and backed off on their own

""Holy shit that was awesome, what level are you Andy I couldn't even see you""

"Currently I am level 746 but I stopped increasing in levels or the lowest level enemies I could fight as my mission enemies would grow to 1500 if I got to 750 level so I don't level up until I am sure I can kill 1500 level criminals"

He tossed me the storage rings of the enemies and we asked the sound in the dungeon to take us out after we are out of combat for 10 minutes

""By the way why didn't you kill them as soon as we entered the area""

"I had to make sure they were the real criminals before doing anything, since the criminals might just be mimicking them or anything like that"

Well I didn't get the mission rewards from the adventurers guild since the provider died but I got all their storage rings and I have lots of monster bodies to sell
