59 BSWS CH-59 The Chunin Exams XXVII - Proud Mother Mebuki Haruno

Sakura pondered on Karin's suggestion. Summoning was something she had learned when she had been a beginner as a Fuinjutsu Expert but was always afraid to try it out.

Currently, she was strong enough to stand against most threats of this world and survive, so it really might not be that bad an idea to check out the Summoning Jutsu.

Also, it would be best to check out the random summoning that happens for non-contracted summoners, as that would lead her to the Summoning Animal that is most compatible with her.

"Okay then, Since we don't have a Contract Scroll, should we check out the random summoning?" Sakura asked Karin.

"Yeah, but first there is something else we need to do," Karin said.

"What is that?" Sakura asked.

"Get you one of those Flying Thunder God Kunai we have. So that I can reverse summon you if you are not here on time for the Final Chunin Exam Round." Karin said.

"You can use Flying Thunder God?" Sakura asked in surprise. She had not even thought for a minute that someone would actually be able to replace Minato's feat so quickly. Well, Sakura could do it if she was shown the materials, but then again, she had a cheat.

"Not perfectly. I cant transfer Multiple people or do it as fast enough to use in battle as The Fourth did. However, I have a decent grasp of it to be able to use it to Reverse Summon you safely, no matter which dimension you are in." Karin said proudly.

"That is amazing Karin. Wow, Uzumaki really is good in everything that involves Fuinjutsu." Sakura said with an excited hug to Karin.

"Yeah, it's like I have this thing I have always known and then it becomes clear when I start looking and reading up the symbols in a Fuinjutsu. It is both freaky and exciting." Karin said with a grin.

"So, Where is the Kunai?" Sakura asked.

"Oh, we sealed them up, right in that room where we had found them, as we didn't want to misplace the ones we had. Also, the formula for making new ones is time-consuming."

"You go and get some supplies for your summoning trip and inform your family. Meanwhile, I will go and get the FTG Kunai and some other stuff I want you to have." Karin said as she flickered away. Sakura too took her advice and went to talk with her parents.

"Mom? Dad? Are you guys here?" Sakura called out as she opened the door to her home.

"Here sweetie. I am in the kitchen. Your dad is out shopping for groceries." Her mother, Mebuki Haruno, called out from inside the house.

"Okay. Can you finish up soon? I have something I want to talk to you about." Sakura said.

"Sure, honey. Wait in the living room, I will be right there." Mebuki replied.

Sakura went in and sat in the living room. Her mom soon came with a glass of milk and a plate of cookies.

"Hey there, sweetie," Mebuki said with a smile "Done with the training for the day?"

"Sort of," Sakura replied hesitantly "Actually I was here to talk about something related to it."

"Sure, What is it?" Mebuki asked.

"Actually, as the final part of my training, I was going to learn Summoning Jutsu. But since I don't have a Contract Scroll, I have to do it the Original Way. Which means I will have to be summoned to the Land of the Summoned Animal most compatible to me." Sakura explained.

"Oh, So how long will you be gone?" Mebuki asked.

"A few days. Maybe a week. But I will be back on time for Chunin Exam Final. Karin is going to be helping me with that." Sakura assured her mom.

"Alright. I hope you enough survival supplies, I have heard that some of the Summon Animal Homelands can be a bit strange with weird living conditions." Mebuki said with a shrug as she started eating one of the cookies.

"So that is it? No worried scoldings or argument or creating a scene?" Sakura asked carefully.

"Nope," Mebuki replied with a grin.

"Umm, why?" Sakura asked "I don't remember getting even permission to stay over at my friend's house ever before. Now, you are okay with me going off to a faraway land you may not even know off?" Sakura asked surprised.

"Well, I admit I have been kind of overprotective before." Mebuki said as she held Sakura's hand "But honey, I was only looking out for you because you were always so kind and trusting."

"But, that all changed the day I realized you had grown up." Mebuki smiled at Sakura.

"When was that?" Sakura asked.

"Remember that time before your graduation, where one night you had skipped your meal after fighting with me about the stupid diet you were on?" Mebuki asked.

"Yeah.." Sakura said cautiously. Of course she remembered, it was right before she reincarnated to this world.

"Well, ever since that time, I saw you slowly making an effort to improve yourself. You quit that stupid diet, changed your fangirl habits, paid stricter attention to your training."

"You even asked my help in changing your wardrobe to something that is more suited to a Kunoichi than a Fan Girl. All these little things slowly made me realize that you could take care of yourself."

"This belief was only made stronger more I heard you making a name for yourself. With your rapid successful missions and you acing the Chunin Exam Phases like a star.

"And now, you are on the brink of becoming a Chunin so soon after your graduation." Mebuki said with a proud smile "If I still treated you like the girl who doesn't know a thing, I would be insulting both you and me."

"So, I decided that I will begin trusting in your judgment." Mebuki patted Sakura on the head "If you believe that Summoning Jutsu is something you have to master, and you promise to take care of yourself as the first priority, then you have my complete trust and support, Sakura."

"Thanks, mom," Sakura said while hugging her mother. After a few moments, Mebuki broke the hug and caressed Sakura's head.

"I am so proud of you, Sakura," Mebuki said "And I know that you will achieve great things."

"Now, get going before your dad gets here. Unless you like the snotty spectacle of him groveling for you to not go and stay out of danger, in which case you can stay until he is back." Mebuki said with a grin.

"Yeah .. no. I think I will pass on that. He is all yours." Sakura said with a grinned back as she went up to her room and picked the essentials from her stash of supplies.

After rechecking to see if she had everything she needed, Sakura left through the balcony to the place Karin was going to meet her at.
