BSWS CH-48 The Chunin Exams XVI - Preliminary Third Match

"Wow, I knew Sakura would be good. But she took down that Kankuro fellow so easily." Naruto commented to Hinata who was standing next to him. She smiled back at Naruto, happy at how excited he was.

"Sakura-san is definitely a person I aspire to be." Hinata admitted while looking at Sakura who was coming back to the stands "It is as if while we were fumbling for our paths as a Shinobi, she had already been a long way along her own."

"Tell me about it," Naruto replied "I mean Sakura has taught me and Sasuke more than Kakashi sensei himself did. I have never seen her face a problem she cant solve. Frankly, I would have been more surprised if there was anyone in the preliminary who can defeat her."

"However, it is your turn to prepare now," Hinata reminded Naruto "You are up next Naruto."

"Oh yes," Naruto nodded "Choji is my opponent. I wonder what his speciality is. I mean I have never seen him train seriously."

"Me neither. I have only seen him hang out with Shikamaru and laze around, usually underneath some tree." Hinata said, thinking back to the academy days.

"Yeah, all I know about him is that he likes to eat all sorts of food, especially chips. I was like that with ramen initially."

"But then Sakura strictly forbade me to eat ramen more than once a week. She made me a meal chart, saying something about balanced diet." Naruto said.

"Well, I am glad Sakura-san stopped you from eating unhealthily." Hinata said with a shy smile "I never have the courage to stop you from indulging in your pleasures."

"Maybe one day you will too, once you grow more confident." Naruto said with a grin and patted Hinata on her shoulder. She instantly blushed and started burning up.

"You have to go," Hinata squeaked while clutching her arms to her chest "Choji is already down there."

"Oh ya, wish me luck." Naruto waved to Hinata and jumped down to the sparring area. Hinata wished him luck in her mind while blushing hard on the outside.

Naruto and Choji faced each other on the sparring area. Hayate looked at both of them before giving the signal to begin the match.

The moment Hayate gave his signal, Choji's stomach gave a loud growl. This sudden bizarre occurrence froze both Hayate and Naruto. Choji wrapped his arms around his stomach with a grimace on his face.

"Um, Choji? Are you okay?" Naruto asked, getting out of his fighting stance.

"Yes, I am just so hungry. In a rush to arrive here on time, I forgot to pack enough snacks. I munched through the five chips packets I brought with me long ago. What am I to do when I am so hungry?" Choji whined.

"Choji Akimichi!! If you dare not give your utmost to win this match, then I will make sure to destroy all your limited edition secret flavor chips packets that you have been saving and make you watch!!" Ino screamed from her place in the stands, while clenching the railing and glaring at Choji.

Choji's expression turned to a horrified one, as if he had heard the news about the world ending. His knees started shaking as he weakly called out to Ino, "No… you wouldn't… You are joking…"

"Try me!!" Ino shouted back with a glare.

"No .. No … No …. NOO!!!!" Choji finally screamed, a huge burst of chakra emerging from his body. When he turned towards Naruto, Naruto felt as if he could see two giant balls of fire in place where Choji's eyes were supposed to be.

"Aahhhh!!!!" Choji screamed as the pressure emitted from him got more and more intense. Finally, he took a stance in Naruto's direction, as if he was a Rhino about to charge.

"Whoa, you transformed into a whole different guy Choji!!" Naruto called out in astonishment.

"NOT MY CHIPS!!!!" Choji screamed "Multi-Size Technique!!!"

Chakra emerged from Choji in big streams. Naruto was astonished, he had never seen another Genin apart from himself control that much Chakra. Choji swelled up like a giant balloon, growing up to twice his size in a rounded form.

His limbs and head retreated into his swelled up balloon like body, leaving behind Choji looking like a giant boulder made of flesh.

"Human Boulder!!!" Choji shouted as he started to spin in extremely quick speed. He then barreled towards Naruto like a speeding cannonball. Due to the increased weight and the force of the rotation, the ground was pulverized upon contact with Choji's spinning boulder-like form.

"Damn that is heavy!!" Naruto exclaimed as he dodged Choji's speeding form barely "Just how much have you stuffed in there??"

".… You mean to say .. I am … FAT!!!!" Choji's angered voice emerged from the spinning boulder "I AM NOT FAT!! I AM CHUBBY!!!!!"

Choji sped up even more, powered by another huge burst of chakra. Naruto was not able to dodge this time and got barreled into the walls of the sparring area.

"Ahrk..!!" Naruto vomited blood, injured a great deal by having taken Choji's tackle head on. As he pulled himself together, he saw Choji barreling towards him again.

"Oh damn!! Shadow Clone Jutsu!!!" Naruto sent an army of his clones on a suicide mission against Choji. They attacked Choji with Chakra Push while also serving as clone shields.

For every clone Choji popped, they managed to reduce his speed and power by a fraction. By the time Choji reached Naruto, he had lost enough momentum and power to allow even an injured Naruto to dodge him successfully.

'I cant let this go on, or I will actually be too injured to continue.' Naruto thought. He had been using clones as sacrifice for his safety, but he knew he could not continue it forever.

"I guess I just have to wing it!!!" Naruto exclaimed and drew forth an enormous amount of his chakra "Multi-Shadow Clone Jutsu!!!"

Dozens of clones emerged around Naruto, before surrounding Choji as he came barreling towards him. Using chakra control, the shadow clones stuck their limbs together and wound around the boulder like Choji. It was as if a football was running into a net.

Once they surrounded Choji, shadow clones attacked with overcharged Chakra Push from all around Choji. The multi-direction barrage finally broke through Choji's technique and knocked him out. Having completed their mission, the shadow clones burst into smoke.

Once smoke cleared, knocked out Choji was revealed to the training hall, deflated back to his actual form, with tattered clothes and bruises as a result of the all around Chakra Push attacks.

Naruto stood shakily as he saw the result of his attack, exhausted from his injuries and enormous chakra spending. Seeing Naruto still standing, Hayate had no choice but to announce the result.

"Winner, Naruto Uzumaki." Hayate announced.
