30 BSWS CH-30 Powering up for The Chunin Exams Part-1

The next morning, they gathered at the usual meeting spot. Kakashi surprisingly was only an hour late today instead of making them all wait for half a day.

"Hi, guys. I have some good news for you all today." Kakashi said "Since we have been only completing D Rank missions for so long, I decided to spice things up. I have recommended all three of you to the upcoming Chunin Exams. This is a Voluntary exam and you have five days to prepare. I hope you all are excited."

After saying all this, Kakashi observed their reactions. Naruto was daydreaming about becoming popular, Sasuke imagining becoming stronger and Sakura was standing calmly there as usual, as if it was all within her plans and strategies.

'Eh, so the usual I guess.' Kakashi thought as sighed internally "Anyway, I will leave you guys with these exam passes for now. Discuss with your families, fill them up, and come to the academy five days later if you want to give the exam."

Saying as much, Kakashi flashed away. However, he found that Sakura was following him closely. So he stopped at a rooftop and allowed her to catch up.

"Hello sensei," Sakura said as she arrived.

"What is the matter? There must be something important if you wanted to speak to me alone." Kakashi asked.

"I need your help to learn Fuinjutsu. More accurately, I need your help in acquiring advanced level books and knowledge about it." Sakura said.

She had thought about it long and hard. 5 days for Chunin exam preparation, 5 more days inside the forest during the second phase of the exam, and another day or two to prepare for the preliminaries.

By her estimation, she will have 5 days in the least or 7 days at the most before she will have to face Gaara and other dangerous characters such as Orochimaru in the course of the Chunin exams.

She would have liked to create an elemental Kekkei Genkai or train in some special high-level techniques, but that would require a great deal of time.

As such, the easiest way for her to get some power-up was through Fuinjutsu or Taijutsu, the latter of which posed great physical requirements and a proper trainer.

She had some ideas about Taijutsu and how to acquire knowledge related to it, but that was still some time away. Currently, that left only Fuinjutsu as an option for her.

"Before I reply to that, can you tell me why?" Kakashi asked "You are not one to make rash decisions. So the reason you are asking me to do this must be backed by some proper reason and planning. Tell me about it."

Sakura paused as she thought about the threat they were about to face and decided that Kakashi should know at least some information about it.

"The reason I am so anxious is that I met a few candidates from the other villages who have come for the Chunin Exams. One of them gave me a sense of danger on a scale I have never felt before." Sakura said as Kakashi's eyes widened "..and yes, I mean beyond even Zabuza."

"With Zabuza, I still felt like this was a human, a depraved one but still human. But this…. this was a Monster, Sensei. The sheer malevolence and power…. I don't think there is more than a handful in this village who can stop him if he decides to go on a rampage." Sakura said with a shudder.

"So that was why you want Fuinjutsu as a backup?" Kakashi asked.

"Yes. I have worked on basic Fuinjutsu after becoming a Genin. Through it I have observed that Fuinjutsu tends to ignore the limitations and rules of the world if used properly."

"With proper mastery of Fuinjutsu, an above-average shinobi like me could stand toe to toe with some of the hidden monsters that will probably be revealed in this exam," Sakura said calmly, finally controlling herself to overcome the fear of memory of Gaara/Shukaku's Aura.

"Alright, if you really feel so then I will get you as much Fuinjutsu knowledge and Training material as permitted by Hokage for regular Shinobi."

"Some of the restricted knowledge regarding Fuinjutsu is kept under the direct supervision of Hokage, which you can probably only get your hands on after making some big contribution to village and being permitted by the Hokage. So don't go thinking that I can get you that stuff." Kakashi said. Sakura nodded in agreement as that was within her guess.

"Thank you, Kakashi sensei," Sakura said.

"Don't worry about it. You are all my responsibility and you were right to come to me about this." Kakashi said, "By the way, who is the candidate that has made you worry so much?"

"Gaara. Gaara of the Sands." Sakura said.

Kakashi delivered the whole coursework worth of scrolls, books, and other notes regarding Fuinjutsu to Sakura by that night. He also said to immediately contact him if there is a part that she doesn't get and not to recklessly experiment.

He had figured that Sakura would need a few months to finish up with all this course work as this was the amount needed to become a Third Level Fuinjutsu Master.

Third Level Fuinjutsu Master was not a Low Position. Only a Handful among the Jonin and ANBU could claim to be proficient Third Level Fuinjutsu Masters. Some of the Jonin who had dedicated their whole lives to Fuinjutsu had managed to achieve Fourth Level Fuinjutsu mastery for their efforts.

Lord Third Hokage was well known as Sixth Level Fuinjutsu Master, while Danzo was suspected to be a Fifth Level one. Currently, the Highest Mastery of Fuinjutsu was with Jiraiya of the Sannin, who was attributed to being an Eighth Level Fuinjutsu Master, Similar to his student before him, the Fourth Hokage Minato Namikaze.

But Kakashi had underestimated Sakura's ability greatly. With UTS, Sakura needed just a few hours to finish up completely comprehending all the material Kakashi gave her, and it only took this long as she was absorbing the information in batches to not let the information overload her brain.

After sorting through all the new information in her mind, Sakura came up with her own way to use a new way of fighting, Battle Style Fuinjutsu.

Her greatest skill at the moment was her chakra strings. Chakra strings were made from pure chakra but could be infused with various effects. Among the material she had just read, Sakura recalled three particular Fuinjutsu skills which she can use to create Battle Style Fuinjutsu.

With Battle Style Fuinjutsu, Sakura hoped to be able to use Fuinjutsu freely in Battle, Similar to how one might use Ninjutsu or Genjutsu.
