2 That fateful night

Naturally a year as a baby can make one extremely lazy. All you can do is sleep, eat and poop. But alas I am a genius among geniuses in my mother's eyes I hated being stuck in one area so I started crawling by four months. At six months I said my first word 'Harry'. I know most people say mama or daddy first, but I would rather be different and so was Harry. Our bond was one no one understood except for maybe the Weasley twins. At around nine months we started meeting more and more people from the order and also just random friends of our parents. Believe it or not I actually got to meet Severus Snape once during this time. He seemed to be nice Harry peed on him which earned my dad's affection and my mom's ire.

Not long after his visit though we heard fighting down stairs and see our mom rushing up barricading the door with our dresser. She held us both in her arms telling us over and over how much she loves us and how she wished we hadn't been born in such a chaotic time. She kept crying while holding us making us scared when a lod boom happened. I swear at this point that explosions will always follow me no matter where I go. I pull Harry closer to me and we both hug each other in fright as a snake like man comes into the room. He doesn't even spare a word towards our mom as he instantly casts the killing curse at her. Seeing her hit the ground me and Harry hold each other tighter. He walks closer to the crib staring at us as if we had killed his family in front of him.

"Neither shall live while the other survives. But which one of you will cause my downfall? Oh well I will just kill you both at once to prevent the prophecy from taking place."

Hearing his words I clutch my older brother tighter as a green light sweeps towards us. I feel a pain radiate from my forehead as the light bounces back towards Voldemort. Seeing his body disintegrate in front of us we start to cry. His spirit is suddenly flying around the room and heads towards us with his mouth open as if it can eat us both.

After passing through us he flees from the wreckage of the house. Five minutes later Snape is there crying over our mother's body. He is hurt so bad it makes me cry even more because I realize Voldemort didn't even try to keep her alive he killed her without a thought for the follower who begged for her life. Hearing my cries Snape snapped out of it and immediately left. A short while later Hagrid appeared.

He was crying even harder then Snape after seeing the mess left behind. Walking towards our crib he was shocked. I could see it in his eyes. He never thought that me and Harry would survive and it made him remember Dumbledore's words.

"Let's go little fellows. I will take you to your aunt maybe they will keep you both safe and secure during these dark times."

Picking us up in one hand he left our home and tied us in a blanket around his neck. After which he boarded the magic motorcycle Sirius had enchanted himself. On the way to the Dursley's he kept sniffling murmuring how sad it was that me and Harry would never remember our parents. Somehow hearing his sincerity towards me and Harry made me feel closer to him. Alas it was short lived once we arrived at 4 Privet Drive.

Hagrid straight away handed us to Dumbledore and McGonagall while blowing his nose into what appeared to be a parachute. McGonagall had a worried look on her face as you pulled me into her arms. "Albus these muggles are you sure the boys will be safe with them? I have watched them all day and they are the worst sort of muggles imaginable. They have a son who literally kicked his mother all the way up the street because he wanted some sweets."

"They will be safe I have wrote a letter explaining everything to Petunia. A family's love can offer more than fame ever could." Dumbledore placed Harry on the step and ticked a letter in the blanket beside him. McGonagall soon laid me next to him placing a shawl over both our blankets for extra warmth. I couldn't help but reach for her knowing me and Harry were about to have a hard time.

"Albus can you really bare leaving them like this? Look at little Jackson he doesn't want to be left here. I can't stomach this after seeing the way these people act."

"Minerva they will need this in the future. What great wizard didn't have a tough childhood. Let's leave before the muggles wake up."

Walking to the end of the lawn they disappear right in front of me after sending Hagrid on his way. Looking towards the door I can't help but wonder how I will change the future of me and Harry while living with these disgusting people.
