17 Half of the full capacity

Ryo took a deep breath before he resonated his amplitude with his sword. The blade being engulfed in his fire releasing a shockwave around him. He looked at Ryujin with such intimidating and serious eyes as he gets into a stance.

Ryujin looked at him with indifferent eyes that slowly turned into upturned eyes as a smile of enjoyment also emerged from his face, as though he is happy about fighting Ryo, to see the limits of his teacher's son, is certainly something he looks forward to.

He spun his sword around his arm before he puts it upfront together with his other sword, and without further ado, their battle started.

They dashed towards each other at speed unimaginable, like two stars colored stars crashing onto each other. The clanging of blades echoed as they clashed both of their amplitude-covered blades in mid-air.

Due to the water nature of Ryujin's amplitude, Ryo's flames cooled down almost immediately after their blade's contact. He pushed Ryujin back and put some distance between them as to regain his amplitude back.

He successfully engulfed his weapon once more but Ryujin doesn't give him any time to breathe. He immediately dashed towards him as he crossed his double sword, in an attempt to shut his amplitude once more and slash through his badge.

Ryo turned his sword diagonally to defend himself from Ryujin's attacks. Again, their swords collide, this time, Ryo used his other hand to summon a ball of fire and lunged forward with it, forcing Ryujin to move back and bring some distance between them.

"Looks like you won't let me pass through easily, then...!" He leaped high in the air and then, using his double sword, he sent a barrage of long-ranged water-covered slashes towards him at high speed. Each slash cut through tree branches as if they were butter, so smoothly.

Ryo realized that fighting any further in mid-air will set him disadvantageous, so he decided to dodge the attacks and go deep inside the forest, to at least have some obstacle in between them that will give him time to somehow counter.

As he leaps from tree to tree, He noticed Kyouko now running and jumping beside him with a ticked-off expression, as if he did something bad to him.

"What's the matter?" He densely asked,

"Did you carry me earlier just to drop me from a high tree?" She replied in a cold voice,

"I had no choice there. He was about to attack and warning you is useless, you'll get hit before you can react."

"Idiot. Just how much are you underestimating my abilities. Let me show you something."

"Huh?"

Kyouko changed her direction and instead jumped at the tree across Ryo. She then turned around and gets into stance, which makes Ryo stop in his tracks in curiosity about what she planned to do. Not long after, Ryujin catches up to them,

"There you are, Ryo!!" A face of enjoyment emerged from his face as he used the tree as a foothold to dash over to him.

"Heed my call, may you fill my blade with your thunder, disperse!"

Kyouko dashed over to Ryujin and completely blocked his attack and upon contact of their blades, it causes a shockwave that sent Ryujin flying towards the trees behind him.

"That's... A little extra." Ryo said,

"No time to compliment me, run!"

"I know, "

They swiftly ran in the opposite direction. Just then, both of the telepathy spell embedded in them spoke, it was Airi who spoke.

"Are you guys okay?" She said while panting as if she's being chased by something.

"What's wrong with you? You're really catching your breath."

"R-R-Ryujin-Senpai is after me!"

"What? Looks like he had a change of target."

"Where are you right now?" Kyouko asked on her telepathy.

"U-Uhm... 120 meters North from the Hunter!"

"I see. We'll be right there!"

With that, They temporarily cut off their telepathy connection and focused on running

"Don't slow down, Kyouko."

"I won't,"

They changed their direction and instead turned towards the direction of Ryujin, whose distance is no more than 40 feet away from them to the north.

Meanwhile, in Airi's situation,

She frantically ran away from Ryujin, casting ice magic every now and then as to somehow slow him down but it doesn't work. As she cast her spells, in the next second, they will be slashed in half.

Airi pondered to herself what to do in the situation, to put even further distance between them. Unfortunately, nothing goods cross her mind. And all the while she was thinking, Ryujin caught up to her and grabbed her by the hand.

...

It was the end for her. Ryujin raised his sword up in the air as he held Airi by the hand, gradually turning her body around. As tenths of seconds slowly pass by, his blade getting closer and closer to her badge, which is the rope she's holding on to stay at this school, slowly meeting her end with her, who can't do anything.

...

But, fortunately for her, there's one person who can't allow it.

"Lightning: Discharge!"

Suddenly, a strike of white lightning flashed between them, which caused both of them to flinch. Ryujin lets go of Airi and jumped back off. He held his eyes in a slight pain while he staggered to stand up.

Then, Ryo shoots a ray of fire from above while he stands on top of a tall tree, which caused a small explosion within Ryujin's range, and caused smoke, which further blurs Ryujin's vision

"Airi, are you okay?!" Kyouko said as she ran up to Airi.

"I'm sorry, I was rushing to think of anything to split you up together!" Kyouko worriedly checks on Airi, who is also covering her eyes.

"I-I'm okay... thanks..."

She removed her hands off her eyes and blinked several times before she completely regained her vision back. She immediately stood up and raised her hand in the air.

"Lock!"

She chanted, neither a long nor short chant. Suddenly, several walls of ices collided with each other, forming a cube that trapped Ryujin inside.

"Airi. Leave," Ryo said as he jumps away from there.

"Let's go!" Airi exclaimed as they then began to run away from him.

...

"Ah... Darn it... How did I get so careless? He stood up in disbelief and wipes off the dust on his clothes. He looks around, the smoke slowly ceases, while his vision returned. He exerts a small amount of energy onto his fingers before he proceeds to gently touch the thick ice. In the next instance, it shattered into very thin pieces.

"Ah... This is embarrassing... The higher positions are watching me right now."

They indeed are. From different parts of the buildings, The President, Vice-president, and the third seat is watching, inside their dimly lit room of sorts. Watching through the shining screens, they have their own conclusions. One is utterly disappointed, one is intrigued, while one is enjoying the show.

"I can't have this," Ryujin mumbles, "That short attack stopped me?"

As he speaks, he conjoined both of his swords, causing a bright blue light to shine all over. The light ceases.... ever-so-slowly... revealing a new weapon...

A dagger, covered with ominous blue aura, with markings with language unknown. With an exquisite blade design, weight similar to a feather, power almost tripled, he swung it.

"This is more like it." He smiled.
