4 I don't know what to call this chapter but it's something. Anyway, the only reason why this chapter name is so long is because I want to see if I can hit the word limit, if it even exists. Turns ou

*Sigh*

Even with everything that's happened to me, nothing much has changed... I'll still continue my daily routine of reading and watching and quit my job in the process...

...and I wouldn't have it any other way.

(Apparently, I'm supposed to show, not tell when I'm writing, so imma try that. BTW, if I still end up showing, then that's cause Idk the criteria to show.)

Ten hours have passed and I'm currently heading home. For the past ten hours, I stayed in the internet cafe binging Season 2, only getting kicked out because they had to close down for the day. While I was busy watching Season 2, there was one thing I didn't account for...

(BTW, if you check back in chapter 2, I nerfed Azathoth. Not really, more like I readjusted the rank from XVI --> XV since I realized Azathoth wasn't THAT strong, in my ranking anyway. I remember making its rank XVI because of what that rank symbolizes, which is HIGH-GOD. Only now do I realize that the names are just what my mind quickly came up with so that I can finally rank the skills in chapter 1.)

.

----------

Yep. Turns out I can get skills from WATCHING ANIME.

I held out my hand to try and summon a small breeze, but then I remembered that magicule was toxic against people, so I'll do it in a forest or a cave later.

What does continue to stay on my mind, is why I can learn skills through watching anime.

'Is it because the worlds were based on the anime/manga/wn or something? Like the Tensura world wouldn't have existed if it weren't for its author?

Did the Tensura World already exist before, and by some sheer coincidence the author detailed the events that happen? Then, wouldn't that mean reincarnation actually exists?!?!?!'

[Notice]

[There are an infinite amount of Universes in the Multiverse, While there are an infinite amount of Multiverses in the Omniverse] (I know this is some big bs but this is what this novel is gonna be all about.)

[Therefore, the existence of a Universe that follows the Tensura WN word by word, is 100%]

"So they already existed. That makes sense since, apparently, there is an infinite number of BOKU NO PICO WORLDS OUT THERE THAT NEEDS ERADICATING."

Bloody hell, what a nightmare. I don't wanna imagine some poor guy getting sent there...

.

.

.

So now I know I can gain skills by watching anime. This is the best thing ever, and if this works on manga and light novels, then I really might cry.

.

While these thoughts continued, I was in the middle of a dark suburban road walking home under the starry sky.

Currently, all of my senses were heightened to the extreme, as there weren't a lot of noise and inconveniences like the ones from this morning because it was nighttime, and it also serves as some kind of car detection method to avoid getting run over.

Anyway, my focus wasn't on the road but instead on the sky above. All the stars were visible to me due to my eyes that somehow adapted to their low light.

The stars weren't something that I see often since I usually stayed at home and only left during the daytime for either my job or to buy groceries.

Even when I do leave at night, the pollution prevented me from ever seeing more than a few, twinkling dots in the sky.

The past dots that seemed to disappear with the faintest light from a lamp-post now exuded a continuous bright light, and it wasn't just one of them.

Tens to hundreds of thousands enveloped the sky, coloring it in shades of purple and blue. Clouds of stardust advanced through the glittering sky, or was it because the Earth spun?

The biggest and undoubtedly the brightest among those that hung on the sky was the mellow moon. It wasn't even crescent in my eyes as the dark expanse that's supposed to be the Earth's shadow was visible, albeit dimmer.

From this Earth, I could see the numerous craters that decorate its silver surface, even a little something impacting its side, and once the dust settled, it revealed a new, little crater to add.

"This is way too cool."

There are so many more things I haven't experienced, and so many more things that I am now able to due to my wishes. Who knew seeing a meteorite hit the moon was one of them?

'Now, I'm looking forward to what incredible encounters I will witness, maybe even make?'

.

Continuing to look up towards the aesthetically pleasing sky, the sound of running reached my ears. At first, there was only one, but the solitary footsteps soon grew in number and guessing by their intervals, there weren't too many of them:

'Six... seven people?'

Under the veil of dark shadows, the group was approaching me from behind, though I doubt that they were actively trying to since I am more than a hundred meters away.

Moments passed, and after the sounds came the smells, engulfing my olfactory senses with the scent of cologne, cigarettes, sulfur, and interestingly, metallic rust.

Their previously loud footsteps grew quiet when they neared and finally saw me, and for some reason, I felt their gaze become more intense, even more so than their ragged breathing.

'...It's my shades, isn't it? Totally not because of that and the fact that I'm standing in the middle of the road.' I briefly thought.

While it was dark, I did stop near a lamp-post just to see the extent of my adaptability, trying to see whether or not an extra source of light would affect the clarity of the stars in the sky. As for the shades... well, my eyes do adapt quite well, so I already forgot that they were even there.

Now though, It just makes me look weird.

Closer they came but soon they stopped a distance away, most of them anyway. One of the men in the front of the group raised their hand, then afterward came over on his own, leaving his companions that continued to breathe heavily.

Fixing his posture and slowing his gait, he continued in his approach. When I was an earshot away, a shout left his mouth,

"Hey, you over there!"

In spite of appearing calm and composed, a rapid thumping that only my ears can hear remained as proof of his earlier hurry. It wasn't just him, for all of their hearts continued to beat heavily in the silent street.

Acting surprised, I hurriedly looked over and saw that he wore mainly dark clothes. A black shirt covered by a black leather jacket, accompanied by black cargo pants and heavy leather boots. On his head perched a similarly black beanie that covered his ears.

From what I can make of his face, he is a Caucasian man in his early 30's with short dark hair.

"...What do you want?"

My voice couldn't help but deepen as it contained a hint of wariness for the person before me. Aside from the clothing, his overall demeanor was vigilant, discreetly looking around the area while keeping eye contact to hide their dubious behavior.

Despite the suspicion in my voice, he still remained calm and answered back.

"I'm kind of new around these parts and got lost. Can you tell me where I am?"

.

'Ah, no wonder.'

This place is pretty easy to get lost in, especially at night. The buildings that surround us are similar in structure and design and become much harder to distinguish from one another when it's nighttime.

The streets also weren't well lit due to the low number of lamp-posts and their sub-standard quality, so you'd have to rely on the moonlight most of the way. At least because of this, my apartment's place was much cheaper than it should be.

'It also doesn't look like he's from around here, well, any of them really.'

Taking only a moment to ponder, I quickly replied.

"You're in the ### right now. If you want to get to the city where you can better find your way, then you and your buddies should head back in the direction you came from."

'Might as well head home. This is probably the longest time I've been out and I can already feel the effects of a withdrawal. Sucks that my computer broke, but what can I do?'

[Notice]

[The host can use the skill effect, TheFabric, to manipulate and reverse time on the object, Computer #42]

'Alright! It's decided then!'

Starting to skip back home for the umpteenth time, a voice behind me said,

"Thanks, dude"

"Ah, no problem."

It really wasn't, and besides I had better things to focus on, so I continued ahead without looking back. A few skips later, the voice now much deeper, spoke again.

"Thanks a lot, and... I'm veeery sorry."

.

With that voice came a very distinct click, and with it, a peal of roaring thunder assaulted my ears. An invisible force shoved my body out of balance, gravity shifted to my side and before I knew it, I was on the ground with a mouthful of asphalt.

Even as I lay on the ground unmoving, contemplating whether or not a very silent bus hit me from the back, the thunder fell again, only this time it lacked the forceful impact.

Again, the thunder roared, but now it resembled something else, something man-made. It was something quite common in this country, even my dad used to have one of them.

Yep, it's a gun, more precisely, a very deadly and noisy pistol.

The realization that I was just shot still befuddled me, and it came from a man that I just helped as well. 'What exactly do I do in this situation?', kept repeating in my mind, but I knew one thing:

If it weren't for the other guy's wishes, I would have definitely died. If it was just my little island somewhere in the sea, then I wouldn't stand a chance against a bullet, much less many more.

'This... pisses me off.'

I helped the man, didn't I? Why is he doing this when I've just helped him? Did he ask me with the intent to kill me, regardless of what I said?

My befuddled mind came to a realization at the memory of a certain scent.

There were no visible signs of it, and there was definitely nothing wrong with the man's bearing; He and his gang can even run a long distance. So why was that metallic scent here? Where... no, WHO did it come from?

.

I really think too much, don't I?

.

The answer is right here.

------Third Person POV------

A sinister smile adorned the outlaw's face, the handgun in their grip still pointing at its latest victim.

"Boss, what the fuck was that for?!?!"

Hearing the voice, the man turned around to see his approaching men. Still smiling, the man answered back.

"What was that for? That was because of you noisy pricks. It was just me that came out, just to check that he didn't see none of our group. Turns out he fucking did somehow, so I had to shut him up so that he wouldn't go blabbering to the cops.

While he spoke, he started nearing his men. Passing them, he turned his head ever so slightly, menacing words leaving his lips.

"Remember, there will be no loose ends and if you can't get that straight, you better back the fuck o-"

Out of nowhere, an immense pressure enveloped the once tranquil street, causing the winds to howl and lament. The criminals appeared to be under immense weight, as they and the asphalt under their feet started to groan and crack, drawing blood and fissures beneath them that slithered and ate away nearby buildings.

It wasn't just the buildings nor the men's legs that snapped, as the smiling face had already been broken replaced by a choir of ear-splitting screams, and an agonizing dread.

.

The fissures soon enveloped the entirety of the buildings, allowing the wind through, whistling as they passed by. Glass shattered and fell only to be flung high in the sky and shatter once more, glistening as they went, decorating the once empty sky.

As quickly as it came, the jewels overhead flickered their last, for the crescent moon was now subdued by the coming of an unending flood of dark, shadowy clouds.

No light escaped, and soon, a layer of darkness darker than the night before engulfed the old and broken roads, the tumbling buildings, the fallen lamp-post, and finally, the petrified, screaming men.

.

Destruction and debris surrounded them, but they couldn't see a thing. No matter how hard they focused, the darkness only continued to worsen, stretching endlessly into a nonexistent void. Even in the supposedly empty space, the sound falling of objects continued to come from every direction, serving as a reminder of the impact that disappeared with their sight.

With their sight becoming useless in this new environment, the pain in their legs continued to corrode their already muddled rationality. A few were able to endure the relentless torment, and even then, tears threatened to fall from their eyes. The majority, however, continued to scream out their agony,

One of the few men awake began to crawl while simultaneously reaching out for anything, anything at all. Crashing sounds from afar and closeby continued to emerge, causing the creeping man to flinch and stop, wondering when the debris would crush him instead, and if anyone had died in the neverending darkness, or maybe, they were all already dead.

Their search continued but to no avail, only picking up rocks and small debris.

There was, however, one such man who already possessed something to cling on, their grip tightening around the handgun that has taken two lives in this day alone. The third was supposed to be quick and simple as well, but instead, a living nightmare received them, and as if retribution, smashed not just their legs, but their whole world itself.

"Are any of you there?! What the fuck is going on ahhh?!?!?!"

Inside the incomprehensibly dark space, a hysterical voice rang out.

"Liam is that y- AHHH!!!"

"Liam, Beau, it's Toby, Tell me what's happening!"

The man named Toby clutched his handgun tighter before raising it up to aim at the void where the sounds of screaming originated from, but it proved much harder when the gun and the hand holding it were unseeable. Still, he tried, waiting for more screams to resound in the darkness or any sound at all.

"Liam, Beau, Answer me! ANYBODY!!!"

Impatience etched into his voice and face, yet no matter how much he shouted, only the continual sounds of falling objects returned.

.

It was then.

.

Two small orbs of blazing light appeared, piercing through the deep, deep darkness.

.

Like the sunrise, they slowly rose from the ground.

.

Like the sunlight, they exuded a faint, yellow glow, warming the cold void.

.

Like a star, they twinkled in the empty expanse.

.

.

.

.

.

.

.

Like a star... its influence took hold of all those nearby, dragging the monumental weight of the surrounding suburb inside its very core. The buildings, debris, trees, rocks, ground, and the dark clouds swayed and flowed towards the glowing orbs, like multiple rivers finally meeting the ocean, and on it was a distressed sailor.

Toby still holding the weapon in their hand, felt himself gravitating towards the anomalously blinding lights that only continued to shine brighter, and with a sense of urgency aimed their gun loosely. He was about to fire when the attraction grew stronger, jerking his weapon into the mystical vortex, and he felt himself coming closer as well.

The closer Toby was to the light, the harder it became to breathe, yet nothing can be done as he too was swept away alongside a mountain of wreckage.

No amount of resistance could possibly allow him to escape, and with that realization, their bloodied body trembled heavily.

.

Breathing became an impossibility so Toby started to choke. It was normal, his body involuntarily sought the surrounding air that wasn't there, but it was not as if air ceased to exist like a vacuum in space. The effects, however, were similar, and in such conditions, Toby's consciousness started to slip away.

.

.

------POV Boss Toby------

.

.

The comfortable feeling of air brushing past my skin did nothing to reduce the horrid pressure in my chest and throat. So much shit happened in a single minute that didn't make no sense, like a stupid fucking nightmare, Except that I'm actually living it.

'It doesn't look like I'll live any longer anyway.'

'Fuck, if I knew any of this would happen, I would have shot myself instead of the last guy. Too late for regrets.'

Continuing on to my end, I tried to keep my consciousness up for as long as I could. If I was gonna die anyway, then let me see what the fuck I died from so that I can at least die in 'peace', not like there was anything peaceful about going out like this.

.

.

.

It didn't take long for me to see that I was about to crash into whatever that light thing is when a hand came out of nowhere and grabbed me by the neck.

"Kuhaa-"

The pain was fucking immense since I was moving pretty fast, so I'm lucky, or unlucky, to not have my head separated from my body.

The gravity-like attraction disappeared as well after I started getting choked by Light Vader, I don't know if that's a good thing but it does make the place less chaotic. NOT LIKE IT FUCKING MATTERS SINCE I'M STILL GETTING FUCKING CHOKED.

There was something good though.

'I CAN FUCKING BREATHE!'

Even with the hand around my neck, I was finally able to breathe, albeit with difficulty. Quickly filling my lungs with that precious air, my newfound strength allowed me to reach out towards the hand strangling me. I try to pry off the hand that came out of nowhere, but I was too weak. I didn't stop though, scratching and punching whoever's hand this was.

.

"Scan"

A somewhat familiar voice reached my ears, but I didn't think of it too much since my focus was now grabbed by the lights continued to dim. Dim enough, allowing me to see my surroundings.

I haven't noticed it until now, but it wasn't as dark as it was before and I soon found out why.

The now dimming light was absorbing everything, and I mean everything earlier, including the clouds that blocked out the moonlight. Since the thing pretty much absorbed them, I can somewhat see now in this new environment.

The previously dark neighborhood now became barren, filled with cracks and protruding pipes that continue to leak, forming streams of water that eventually lead to a bottomless crater. It seemed like whatever this light is, had enough power to wipe out... everything.

No buildings, nor plants were could be seen. It was only me, the light, and the freakishly huge crater that remained. My people were missing as well, either inside whatever this freak of nature is or at the bottom of that endless hole...

.

It was only now that I realize that, maybe the cause of all that weird shit from earlier was the light that's somehow strangling me?!?!?!

Gazing up from what seemed like the abyss incarnate, I looked up towards the still fading light. It was still too bright to directly look at what exactly it was, but looking lower, I can see what looks like a person's legs, surprise now visible on my face.

It wasn't robotic like the alien machine I was expecting, but from the few tears in its fabric, I can see actual, human skin.

Whatever entity this was gave me no chance to get over my shock, as the light dimmed completely, showing a familiar figure. The clothing was similar, albeit with a few tears here and there, while their hood that was previously up was now down, showing their long, colorless hair.

A mask still covered half their face, but the small amount of skin that does show conveys the message that this person was a stunner. My gaze stayed for but a moment, as I now stared into the amber eyes that pierced into my very being.

There was this feeling of transparency as those eyes continued to stare, simultaneously making my dangling legs weak.

The eyes continued to stare, seemingly in the space in front of her, but from the furrowing of her brows, she seemed to grow disgusted the longer she stared.

It was then that she truly looked me in the eyes, and soon, the hands around my neck slowly tightened.

.

.

.

.

.

.

.

.

.

.

"!"

Gasping for air, I rose to my feet. My arms unconsciously rose to hold my sweating neck, and when I felt nothing there, a small sigh of relief escaped my trembling lips.

Taking a moment to calm down, my eyes finally looked towards the surrounding space. No matter how much my eyes wandered though, I found nothing but myself. The chilling memory of my last moments seemed like a lie, and when I thought I finally woke up, the nightmare continued.

As soon as I realized that it was just me in this torment, the ground I stood on disappeared yet I didn't fall, only the feeling of weightlessness came and stayed.

'Where the hell am I now?!?!'

There was nothing in this place, and that much I somehow knew. It wasn't like before where thick, dark clouds covered the sky and blocked out the moon, where screams of agony and destruction filled the air, nor was there the excruciating aching that continued to stay and cripple my mind.

It was just nothing but me.

It wasn't like the endless darkness that I was once in.

.

It is just nothing but me.

.

It was simply nothingness, no darkness, no light, no color.

Just nothing but me.

.

.

.

And as I'll soon figure out, no warmth, no chill.

Nor was there a body to gasp for air, a hand to touch my neck, a pair of eyes to wander, nor lips to tremble.

.

.

.

.

.

...nothing but me...

.

.

.

.

.

...just me.

.

.

-----Our Mc that I haven't given a female name yet POV-------

.

.

I felt myself falling, but I did nothing to stop it. My body continued to fall under the starry sky, but unlike before, my eyes stayed shut.

If they were open though, I would see a world flipped on itself: A pool of glittery skies that seemed to extend forever, and the heavens made of barren rock.

*BOOM*

Like a meteor, my landing caused a small crater causing dust and fragments of dirt and stone to rise. My body wasn't embedded in the earth beneath me, instead, I floated just above the surface protected by a spherical blue light that disappeared, dropping me to the ground.

There I lay seemingly asleep, but in my mind, I was reliving the past minute.

The destruction I caused was immense, the result of losing control of the limitless amount of magicules I contained, influencing nature's forces through releasing my sheer aura.

Just like before when my aura ravaged the land, my body lay just the same, but inside I was fuming with raging anger reflected by the deep, deep crater that I know lay in.

Making up my mind to find the answers I sought, one thought came to mind.

'COME TO ME!'

And with that thought came the unforgiving vortex, bringing in the one I sought out and everything nearby. A moment was all it took to move him, yet the outcome became so devastating.

.

Finally, I had my answer and responded with one of my own, but I feel... odd. Toby Myers was a man who murdered, robbed, deceived, and betrayed those around him. He was the kind of man who will rot in hell for all of eternity and his end should've been a happy occasion, something to celebrate.

My augmented mind brought me back to that exact moment, the feeling of convulsing, the grating noises of gagging and retching, the complex look of panic in his eyes that darted around for a way out...

'Someone the world would despise... and me, his killer... '

Never did I imagine that I would kill a person before, nor did I think that someone's life could be so... fickle.

Indeed, the act of killing someone is something that I have thought of in the past, since if I traveled through worlds then it's only natural that the antagonists would also exist.

They are capable of horrendous things, things that will shape that world and people's lives, following a script that they cannot escape.

...The characters I've read, good or bad, are people too. All of them...

"Damn it."

'Thinking about these kinds of things was never my forte, and it becomes so depressing the longer I reflect on it.

And since I can't solve this whole thing anyway... I'll just do my best. I may not be the most compassionate, most kind-hearted person in the world, but I do have morals.

Becoming a hero is not on the list of things I want to be, and I'd rather not get involved with bothersome things like that.

But, if it ever comes down to it...

Well, I was never a fan of tragedies.'

.

Abiding by my decision, my resting body slowly stood up and rose above the ground. Less than a second had passed, yet I was back in the sky hovering even higher than before.

My figure was enveloped by the darkness around, and with the height I stopped on, spotting me from the ground was nigh-impossible.

Adding on to the fact that everything in a 12 km radius is basically a crater, with the land beyond that still pretty messed up, then I highly doubt that someone can see me.

Even if someone did see me, it wouldn't have mattered with what's about to transpire.

Paying the surroundings no mind, I focused on my mind and prepared to use one very special skill.

My right hand raised on its own, and with nothing but a flick, the twinkling darkness which enveloped the Earth disappeared, replaced by clear skies, small clouds, and the warm sunshine.

Looking down, the previously devastated suburb was now inhabited by green meadows, colorful flowers scattered about in clusters, and trees that spread towards the horizon.

There remained no evidence of my outburst, and as my gaze wandered, evidence of civilization itself was nowhere to be seen.

"...I went too far..."

[Enumerating... Complete]

[The host had missed the mark by about 1267 years, 6 months, 1 week, 4 days, 22 hours, 18 minutes, and 16 seconds, 18 seconds, 20 seconds, 23 seconds, 25 sec-]

"That's enough! Stop!!!"

Flustered, I quickly yelled, worried that I'll go deaf. The system wasn't too loud, but she might have continued to speak for god knows how long.

Seeing that no more notification screens popped up and that the system piped down, my attention then went on to the land below.

The scenery of nature unaffected by humanity is, for the lack of a better word, astounding. Everything is so much brighter in the past when compared to the future that became full of pollution.

It was comparable to grabbing an image of nature from the internet and maximizing its Saturation to the max.

To think that so many things would happen in a millennia...

'Anyway, I still need to go back to the future.'

Focusing yet again, this time much deeper than the last, a flick of a hand later and I now hovered above a sea of artificial lights. The sky became dark once more, and the moon was back.

'I'm pretty sure I can manipulate time without the hand flicking, but what can I say? It looks AND feels cooler.'

"System, how much time until I'm supposed to meet Toby and his gang?"

[Calculating... Completed]

[The host will meet Toby and his gang in 19 minutes, and 37 seconds]

.

How convenient.

"This broken comprehension and adaptation speed is just that op."

I had moved back in time and now I'll have to find him and his gang of baddies. The distance between us can't be that far since they were running before I met them. With their poor stats, poor compared to mine anyway, then they couldn't have been too far.

It was also then that the smell of blood was pretty strong, so whoever it was they killed should also be nearby.

Performing a grasping motion with my right hand, the world around me slowly lost its color, fading into varying shades of black and white. The lights that differed in color before now shared a similar shade, the stars in the sky shared the same hue yet much smaller in size.

Their twinkling, however, started to slow, and so did the gently swaying leaves of trees. The phenomenon continued, painting the world in a monochromatic black and white until everything but me became lifeless.

The world stopped spinning; its inhabitants stopped breathing; the stars stopped twinkling; their Universe stopped expanding.

"System, can you help me find Toby?"

[The host can use the mapping feature of the system and modify the results so that the individual, Toby Myers, will be seen and isolated in the map]

"Can you do that please?"

A screen started to materialize before my eyes, showing the nearby area's structure. Currently, the map was in a satellite view, showing me as a white marker resembling a waterdrop with a yellow outline, nearby buildings in grey boxes with black outlines, streets in a blue color that was pretty much everywhere, plants and trees in green color, and finally, multiple white markers of a smaller size with black outlines.

'Are the smaller white markers supposed to be people?'

It seemed like it, as there was a marker right where another person walking in the street should be.

While I was looking at the map, a yellow marker appeared a mile away from where I was at. It looked quite special since it was blinking while hovering up and down, so I reckon that that is the marker for Toby.

Dropping down carefully towards the ground to avoid making a crater similar to the one earlier, I quickly ran towards where the marker pointed.

It took some time, time that I had plenty of, but I finally arrived in front of a gas station with an accompanying store. The pair stood out from the area filled with buildings five-story tall as bright lights laced around the gas station roof, store logo, and the actual interior of the store.

The iconic orange, green, and red stripes were gone but the stripes still encircled the whole upper half of the store exterior, with the logo just above the automatic doors. A number composed of the store's stripes took up most of the white background, the word 'ELEVEN' catches my eye as it dwells over, a number '7'.

Yep, it's 711, and a very familiar one.

Dull lights brighter than the midday sun filled the room's entirety, contrasting the dark outside, and within it is where I found my targets.

Inside, wearing the same dark clothing and a misleading smile is Toby, presumably talking to the cashier, and his gang scattered around the store, frozen in place.

Standing in front of the automatic door, I waited for it to open but remembering that time stopped made me feel lucky that no one could see me waving my arms around looking like those wind-dancing-tube people (Search it up). Since the door won't open, how am I gonna get inside?

Recalling the earlier explanation of my skills, I had three options.

A: Use Ultimate Dominion to order the magicules to get me across this stupid door.

B: Use Protogenoi-K to get me across through teleportation.

C: Delete the door. (Protogenoi-K)

'I'm sure there are more options, but I don't wanna think about it too much. The best choices would be the first two options since they can both teleport me to the inside of the store.'

'Option C is just there for if I don't want to make anything too complicated while not caring about the implications.'

Using this as an opportunity to test out my teleportation around the Omniverse skill (Option B), I use it by just wanting to get through, since from the past usages of my skills, they usually involve with me just wanting it to work or do what I want.

It's nothing too complicated, perhaps my system makes it easier for me? or maybe, that's just how OP skills work somehow; My op skills anyway. (Did I use that semicolon right? it always confuses me how to use it.)

As soon as I revealed my intentions, the ground I stood on felt less ragged, feeling quite comfortable to my feet. Feet? Where are my shoes?

Looking down, I now saw my appearance. Torn clothes, damaged shoes... I look like I've been through a war.

Reversing time on myself, my clothing became as good and even smelled as new. Even my shades came back.

It's not like I forgot they even existed. Again.

Idk what happened to the other things that I brought with me like my old clothing and the new ones, but I can easily replace them later. For now though, looking presentable while meeting your enemy is far more important.

Checking my new surroundings, I find myself in front of the donuts section while beside me was one of Toby's men with a serious look in their face, their eyes glued to one of the glazed donuts inside those transparent glass box thingies. (What. Are. They.)

Searching for any weapons the man near me may have, and seeing none, I repeat the process of checking for any weapons on the other six people. When there is one, a quick annihilation is all it takes to make them disappear. This is part of my payback, although they won't even know who I am.

Ever since I saw Toby's face from outside, the memory of being shot in the back, while painless, pisses me off AND would definitely kill anyone else in my position. Deciding to repay the group by beating the living crap out of them, especially their leader was the least I could do, the most being that I torture them which is not really something I'm into.

Killing Toby though? Thoughts of doing it have mostly gone away. That was more of a high adrenaline thing.

Making him a cripple permanently by breaking a lot of things, allowing him to live every day hoping that I did kill him? This is what a rational person would instead do. He isn't getting out of this unharmed, nor intact.

.

Checking the last henchman for any weapons and finding nothing, I made my way towards the last person that I planned to check for weapons, Toby, since he literally shot me with a gun. I wouldn't be surprised if he had knives or a grenade or something.

Coming face-to-face with Toby, I fought the urge to smack him right there and then, but I gotta get the most out of this experience.

When I finished searching him for that bloody gun, I turned towards the familiar cashier.

Now, what makes this situation even more infuriating than it already was, is that I actually know this guy. Remember when I was thinking about who could have possibly given me the op body, universal travel, and system?

When I was listing out the potential people who could have given me those things, I briefly thought about one particular person who I greet every time I meet them, and this person is that person.

Convenience-store-guy-who-I-don't-know-the-name-of, but-I-still-greet-him-and-he-greets-back so-he-fills-a-small-yet-special-place-in-my-heart.

If strangers were 5/10, this guy would be 6/10, and I don't know a lot of people, so a 6/10 is pretty special already.

Connecting the dots, I now know that Toby over here robbed my guy over here, and possibly killed him.

'Yeah, he's a dead man walking.'

I must be a saint for not ending Toby right then and there, the only thing holding me back was the through thinking that he cannot escape his fate.

Teleporting back outside not far from the store/gas station, my tight grip over time started to fade, allowing the world to regain its color once more.

Seeing that everything was normal now, I reassured myself that everything was gonna be fine since I could literally reverse time and I had my everything-proof body.

'Don't worry my dude, I'm gonna throw them out and then beat them up, preferably through the glass walls since it's cooler that way. I wouldn't want you cleaning up any icky stuff inside the store, but the windows are unnegotiable.'

Pumping myself up for the badassery I was about to commit, my lithe figure trudged inside the store, already feeling sorry for the convenience store guy for the mess he'll have to clean...

(This chapter is really long for some reason.)

(Also, I did some edits since someone said this chapter was confusing. Hopefully, it became 'not as confusing' as it was before.)

Sorry for how late this chapter got published, I'm much busier these days so updates may take twice to three times as long.

.

Hmm... I'm also reducing the number of words per chapter since 5k words for me to proofread is too long.

.

I literally lose all motivation in proofreading about halfway through a chapter, with 30% being how long it is and about 70% because I already know how things are going to happen.

.

So... 3K words.
