27 Two monstrous youths

One week passed in Nagar.

Reyn and Xaros went to their job everyday with the two royals while Iris and Eleanora went back to Rayshald.

Oddly, Reyn's job satisfied him for the moment, he could also find out more about this world than what Xaros already told him, but Xaros, him, was bored to hell, obviously, staying in a school didn't amuse him much. They both went to all classes in the academy, talked with the other teachers and trained in one of the three training yards and Xaros kept his calm as Reyn told him to 'wait for the beginning.', thus, he waited for it, believing Reyn's words.

At the break of noon, Yaren went to speak with Reyn and Xaros accompanied by 2 male students, his sister Yuna, Veldris who was already mad at them just by seeing them and 3 other female students, all of them waited behind at the entrance of the training yard except the two royals.

The two teachers were already sparring waiting for the noon break to finish.

"They're already making sparks even though they just started..." Pinpointed Yuna.

"Uhm... So, Reyn, Xaros, are you accustomed to the academy yet ?" Asked Yaren.

The two youths stopped each other and stabbed the ground with their swords.

"Yes, pretty much. Though we don't do much, it is nice working here."

In fact, Reyn was also bored a little, but he could bear it. It is true that the two of them doesn't do much in the academy as they don't teach students, but they still got more work than the guards waiting everyday at the gates, even though they didn't teach, students would from time to time ask them something, though most of it was unrelates to their jobs, they couldn't complain to the lack of work.

After a bit of chatter with Yaren and Yuna, Xaros warned Reyn mentally. 8 people that didn't seem to be student snor teachers were approaching. They weren't as strong as them, but for Xaros to notice them, a single one of them would certainly be able to beat a teacher in a 1v1 situation.

"Prince, Princess, I think we have some guests. Stay where you are, please ."

At the other side of the training field, the two guards staying with the six other students and the students themselves noticed the anomaly, both teachers and royals weren't taking anymore, and no one was moving. The eight of them started to go towards them to know what was going on.

But before anyone could come to them, 8 shadows burst towards the four non-moving royals and teachers, encircling them while two shadows already had their daggers on Yaren's and Yuna's throats.

Reyn and Xaros still didn't do anything towards that.

"So, boss ? Are we capturing or killing them ?" One of them in the circle said, amusement obviously filling his eyes.

"The job is to capture them, but let's kill all the witnesses."

Reyn waited to see who was their 'leader', when he got the answer, he made his first move.

"Xaros, fifty-fifty ? Let that one live though." Reyn ,for the first time in the week, was not bored.

He already knew something would happen since Xaros apparently already noticed one of them scouting the area 3 days ago.

"Got it !" Xaros had a wide smile as he could finally warm up for something 'more interesting'.

Veldris who was further away was slowly casting a spell towards the invaders but stopped as a thick fog envelopped the area the royals were.

The fog was created by Reyn who couldn't know what Xaros would do to the poor 'assassins', it was both to censor it to the students while he could also knock out everyone without being seen.

"W-Wait what !? The fuck is happening there ?!" The leader panicked as he saw the fog and one of his teammates knocked out on the ground.

Both Yuna and Yaren had an idea of who or what was causing this as the two men holding daggers at their throats have been taken care of first, but they still couldn't believe it, even though they already knew the duo's strength.

A youth's shadow approached the leader slowly, terrorising him.

"W-Wait ! Spare me, please, you can ask me whatever you want !"

"Then stop talking, that's exactly what I was gonna do."

The fog disappeared.

Everyone could see 7 corpses on the ground, everyone was knocked out while Reyn's figure was seen before the 'leader'.

{Geez, you at least didn't kill anyone. I seriously thought you would White Man.}

{I am a God. I know how to be merciful, Black-One.}

The leader, a man in his thirties valued life more than anything. He loved his own country and friends, but no matter what, in a life-threatening case, he was already prepared to give everything he knew, it would still bring his 'life or death question' to a favorable point.

"First, who are you and who employed you ?" Reyn wore his threatening look towards the guy. No one would dare to be his enemy, this guy included, and Reyn knew that.

"We-We're the first elite troop called Zero, as for me, I am the leader of Zero, Kyr.

We work under the orders of the Emperor of Narai-"

Kyr was a high ranked assassin in Narai Empire, he is ranked Orichalcum in term of strength, something a nobody could never be against. But towards the two youths, he felt like the roles reversed as they were, the eight of them, totally outmatched by two persons.

Furthermore, there weren't many who could knock out orichalcums in one hit, the idea of two S-classed froze his mind as he denied to think of it.

"The Emperor told us to capture the two royals for war purposes ! We only did what we were told to !"

Reyn, after hearing that, directed a gaze filled with hostility towards Xaros. He indeed never told him about the war between the allied countries of Rayshald and Yarusen with Narai.

In fact, the war between them was on break for a moment but each side could shatter that little of peace at any time, and the Empire of Narai was the first to do it.

Reyn lost his hostility towards Xaros and instead, he asked him to prepare a certain memory of Narai Empire for later.

"Good. Prince, Princess, I'll let the two of you decide upon what those men deserve. I also suggest your majesties to have some more guards escorting you at any time."

Both of them nodded and left immediatly to tell the news.
