28 The meeting

War broke out again.

The little bit of peace the three countries had shattered the moment the assassins failed their 'mission'.

The royals already were on their way to the castle and soon, this matter will be rendered public and everyone will know of it, Rayshald Kingdom will then, come to help Yarusen against the Empire.

The two sides were of an equal strength, despite the Empire being way larger than the two kingdoms, as allied forces, Rayshald and Yarusen could still deal some serious damage to Narai.

Therefore, without a winner, peace was declared for a short time, if the peace is broken, it should be because of something the offensive side has.

For now, neither kingdoms know why war was declared anew, but either way, they could only wait to see.

Reyn took a badge on one of the kidnappers before they were moved somewhere else and headed straight to the meeting teacher's grounds as they were asked a little bit later to report the incident to all teachers by the headmaster.

All teachers running into an unexpected event must report it to everyone afterwards, it was a way to tell all the teachers to stay on guard after something happened, and obviously, if anything happens, everyone must deal with it for the security of everyone in the academy.

But Reyn and Xaros aren't teachers. They are ranked higher than them thus their time couldn't be 'wasted' but the headmaster wanted them to report because he wanted every teacher to meet them, moreover, he wanted to show to the teachers that there is always stronger than oneself.

The two entered the large room located in the middle building of the school.

The total of students in this academy would approach the 2600 and the number of teachers would be around 90, that said, around 90 figures were sitting on chairs covering the entire room by a square form with 4 tables disposed in front of the chairs.

When the two teachers entered, everyone stopped talking, the room became quiet and the meeting began.

Mylis and Hector, the first teachers to be encountered by Reyn and Xaros were sitting some seats away from them and almost every teacher was present at this moment.

"Nice to meet you, Reyn and Xaros Kirae, I am truly sorry for calling you here, but this is an important matter. I am the headmaster, Caïd Treklas."

A man in his 50's introduced himself first to settle this meeting quickly.

Those two youths are selected by the Royals to be of higher ranks than normal teachers, though they did not say it, it wouldn't be abnormal of them to be equals to him, thus time needed to be used wisely-He thought.

Although Caïd didn't know anything of them, he was trustful towards the royals and their choices, and so, he already thought of thems as equals, even in power. He thought it unbelievable but got his answer by the royals themselves as they said that those two already saved their lives, it was only natural for him to not use their time needlessly.

"Please tell us what happened this noon."

Reyn stood up from his seat and began to talk.

"Yes. This noon, 8 armed men believed to be assassins attacked Prince Yaren, Princess Yuna and ourselves.

We both fought them and got informations from them-."

"Ha ! And I guess they're now running around because you let them free, right !?" A man at the right side of the square cut short Reyn.

This angered the headmaster. Of course, he already thought that someone might barge in and interrupt them, in fact, he was prepared for it to happen. But he kept his composure as his thought-to-be equal didn't show any displeasure towards it, instead, he even replied calmly.

"The fates of those men are in the royals hands if that's what you ask, Sir."

That man was disgusted by Reyn's calm smile.

"You have no need to be so formal teacher Reyn, you are supposed to be of a higher rank than them and maybe an equal of mine afterall. Please keep talking."

"Wha-"

"Thanks. Well, those 8 men were said to be assassins of the Narai Empire whose goal was to capture the royals for war purposes. That's all I know."

Serious expressions filled the room as Narai Empire was enounced.

"So, you're saying that you've beaten 8 high-ranked assassins by the 2 of you ? Yeah, that's believable !"

The same man took the occasion to talk again. This time, not only Caïd was angry towards him, but a major part of everyone else too.

"Stop it teac-" The headmaster wanted to shut the man but Reyn looked at him while raising his hand.

Caïd nodded as he understood why.

Suddenly, Reyn snapped his fingers and teleported behind the man, pointing a sharp edged katana at his neck.

"We are not in the same courtyard. Everyone is not inferior to you when they first come here, dumbass." Reyn's cold stare gave the man chills down his spine as he made the katana disappear.

Some teachers were now also affraid of Reyn, but most of them approved his action.

"Damnit... Okay I get it, I'm sorry !"

"With this, I expect the meeting to be finished. Now, if you excuse me."

Reyn slowly left the room accompanied by Xaros who watched the entire scene joyfully.
