29 Prelude of Twilight

Since Caïd revealed to the teachers that Reyn might be of his own rank, Reyn couldn't just get insulted without retorting, therefore, he decided to act by himself.

With a bit of his power revealed, no teachers could come insult him again, a thing like this must be done sooner the better, thus Reyn took the opportunity.

With this incident, the academy decided to close for the rest of the day and of the week.

A second attack would be suicidal after war was declared, but teachers and the headmaster couldn't exclude any possibility, the students's protection must be put on top priority, explaining the shutdown for a week of the academy.

Reyn then decided to come back to the castle, Xaros grinning behind his back knowing what will happen.

As the castle's door opened, every noble in Nagar, capital city of Yarusen, including Prince Yaren, were already gathered for a war council.

The country of Rayshald will be warned by Yarusen's messengers of the incoming war, a new war council will then be held with both countries to organize any attack or defense.

Alone in the corridors as Xaros came back to Reyn's body, he decided to go instantly at his room.

"Well, I am quite strong, but those two are on a whole different level though !

It reminds me of some trips that we did with our dad, it was a fun thing to see them !"

Reyn passing the corner saw Elizabeth chatting with Yuna, both were sitting on chairs, sipping tea in a white and blue ceramic cup.

Only Elizabeth herself, Xaros and Reyn knew of this masquerade. They were now supposed to be cousins to the world, it is a difficult lie, but not impossible, therefore, Reyn thought that she was quite good at lying.

" And do they fight often ? have you fought them for your young age ? You sure are all impressive, I don't know how you could be strong like that ! " Yuna, again, asked a question, her eyes glittering as she could ask questions directly to someone of the teachers's family.

"Well, it is a rare scene to see them fight, and no, I didn't fight against any of them, I still have a long way to go !" Elizabeth answered happily, despite not knowing them for long, you could already notice her amazement for the two of them.

"Ahem-." Reyn interrupted, leaning on the wall.

"Ah, they're back...!" Elizabeth was embarassed at the fact that Reyn probably heard her talk about Xaros and him. There was nothing to be embarassed about though, as she was their loyal servant.

"Elizabeth, might come with me ? We've got some business to attend to."

"Eh-? Ah, alright. Well then Yuna, it was a pleasure to chat with you !" The vampire girl smiling cheerfully stood up from her chair, bowed towards Yuna and followed Reyn.

Both were walking in the corridor, aiming to go to Reyn's room.

"Already left the formal speech aside for the princess ?" Asked, Reyn to break the silence.

"Yuna is quite kind for a princess, I appreciate her. Calling her by 'princess' all the time is annoying, and we talk to each other quite often !"

"'For a princess' ?"

"Well, not all royalties are kind you know."

"True, I guess."

The two arrived at the room, Reyn opened the door, checking that no one was here before entering.

"So, why did you call me for ?" What's that 'business' we have to deal with ?"

"We're gonna pay a little visit to the Empire of Narai. You should take your mask with you as well.

We will make a little detour first."

Elizabeth, shocked by that sudden announcement kept her mouth opened, not knowing what to say.

Going to the Empire now would be tough, a war was newly declared and even without it, it would take at least 3 weeks with horses to cross the border from here, it was an extremely long distance.

Furthermore, they will have to take a 'little detour' before going there, it was quite a long travel to do.

"Don't worry, We're not gonna walk there."

Reyn raised his hand and snapped his fingers. The two disappeared in an instant from the room, leaving only a mist of magic behind.
