Countless of nobles were gathered in the wide castle's hall.

Some months ago, Narai's Emperor died. The Emperor that failed to conquer the allied countries died of old age, being human. Then, a man rose up in the hierarchy by proving himself.

He kept the order in the Empire, rallied the armies together and kept the economy at a good pace for a while. He was called a hero by his people.

This man was an elf, and is now the new Emperor, Xander Y Gwir.

This new emperor was sure that he could win the war.

He was eager to have new territories for his country's sake, even if it meant breaking peace with two other countries.

Seating on his throne, sipping wine as well, he discussed matters of little importance.

"Your Majesty, should we bring some wine from the Holy Nation ? It is said that theirs is sweeter than ours, while strengthening our relationship with the Holy Nation, we could also benefit of a wine of a better quality, should we not try ? Of course, I'd ask the best wine company they've got in their country, it should be near the Holy castle. "

The captain of the guards spoke. To the emperor, he was a counselor and a guard of worth.

He is a respectable man that could put his life on the line for his country, and his emperor.

"Sure, why not ? A wine a little sweeter can only bring happiness. Ask to Warchief Klad'r for an escort to the Holy Nation, you'd maybe have to stay there a while."

But the attacks have increased for an unknown reason and the emperor doesn't show any interest towards it.

"But what if it truly isn't bandits ?" Vyra showed a worried expression and at those words, Xander showed interest.

Rumors were already spreading among the empire that those attacks were made by monsters, not by bandits.

Some even heard that a being in the attack called himself a 'Demon' that came to take revenge.-

"Then, wouldn't it be much more fun ? It's fine I assure you, there's no reason for a certain Demon, a race extinct 10 000 years ago to come here, right ?"

But no one wanted to listen to rumors frightening like that. A Demon coming now would just be a disaster but all of them were killed long, long ago, none could have survived, it is the way of thinking of practically every country.

"Well, I'll believe you.-"

Vyra stopped herself as noise from outside was heard. Silence was made in some part of the room to clearly hear what was going on.

"B-Both of you ! This is an area restricted to high ranks nobles ! You have no right to trespass here !"

In front of the castle's door, guards were heard, probably talking to some wanabe-noble.

And then, those near the door could clearly hear the sounds of the guards' sword unsheathing.

"Hey ! I won't tell it again ! This is a last warning !"

It clearly wasn't some random people. Inside, the whole room became quiet as they all heard the guards' warnings outside.

The guard's voice was shaking a little bit as he gave the last warning and at that, some nobles were schocked. Elite soldiers were posted all around the castle, it would take some serious level to make them worry.
