15 A Demon's offer (1)

On our way to the adventurer's guild, Xaros left his human form in a place where no one was watching.

The ball should continue until evening or night but we do not have that much thing to do there.

Also, I want to know if the adventurer's guild is doing something concerning the Devil's Nest, that's why I'm heading there.

{We finally left that place crowded of people !}

{Why ? You don't like people even though you're a God ?}

{I pretty much enjoy watching them, but a ball is annoying for me.}

{Haa ? I thought you were pretty much enjoying yourself while talking with 2 princesses and during our fight. I saw you smile, God.}

{... Well, I can't deny it, but it would be boring to stay there all day.}

I arrive at the guild. There's quite a walk from the castle since the guild is in the first middle-class area, the lowest area of the capital.

I saw quite a number of shops already but never entered them, I guess I should when I'll have the time.

I open the door of the guild, and for a surprise, not much has changed, except some things. There's more people than precedently on the mythril-rank board, people I didn't even see last time.

I can also recognise the three adventurers that left alive the dungeon on one table, one of them is still crying and the other two are not looking great either.

Unusually, there's a lot more noise than the last time I got there. It seems the most ranked parties are all in the guild and there isn't a lot of low rank ones.

"Excuse me, is something happening in the guild ?"

I ask calmly an employee at the counter. All the others are already talking with parties even though there's at least 5 desks. I ask that question but I think I already know the answer, but for this much mythril adventurers to be there, is this dungeon really THAT dangerous ?

"Ah- Yes, there's some troublesome things happening."

The guy responding to me talks quietly and calmly, even though it must not be the first person to ask him.

"A dungeon appears to be occupied again by a high rank monster. It is suspected to be an Ogre King but we don't know a lot about it.

Therefore, the guild master is gathering all the mythril adventurers or higher to raid the dungeon.

The grades lower than mythril will be hired to scout the entrance of the dungeon and to carry the loots and equipments of other adventurers."

They're really gathering that much people for a dungeon ? Are mythril adventurers that weak against high rank ogres ?

{The Ogre Kings are all said to be at least Danger Class Reyn. They are said to be able to rally a tremendous number of monsters in only months. That's why they surely want to kill it the quickest possible.}

Oh, that's why... Well, I am not attached to Ogre-kun anyway, that's not a high loss.

It was only an experimentation to see if I could use my powers against monsters, give them orders and buff them. The experimentation succeeded and It won't trouble me too much.

Yet, I should at least see the power of adventurers and the power of my creation.

"The subjugation of the dungeon will be held in two days. Princess Eleanora and Princess Iris will both be here to lead the adventurers, and the two orichalcum-ranks parties in the Kingdom will be back for the time of the attack. We are preparing all the things we need for now."

When I finished my 'gathering information quest', I turn towards the mythril board.

The Devil's Nest quest is in the middle of all the boards and, written in black are the words 'Emergency Quest'.

The first time I went here, the girl I asked information to told me that emergency quests must be attended by, if not all adventurers, mostly all. They are quests said to have to be completed that appears rarely every now and then. The Kingdom declares the emergency quest and pays all the adventurers hired by the Kingdom's treasury.

Oh, The three adventurers that came back alive will be paid a large amount for compensation of three members deaths. They will apparently go with all the adventurers in the dungeon instead of waiting outside because they already know the ennemy. They also want to take their revenge I guess.

I quit the guild having finished all the things I wanted to do. Still, two days, huh ?

And I will encounter the princesses again... especially with Eleanora who already knows my Demon's appearance, it will bring even more trouble.

I don't think she told adventurers or even her sister about me, her sister didn't react to our katanas and she didn't react either while looking at them.

I guess they will find out soon enough about me.

When I was in a street of the second middle-area, something caught my eyes and ears.

A lot of guards were chasing after someone.

I chose to pursue them going in a dark alley without exits.

I climbed on a roof and observed the scene.
