22 A Demon's idea (3)

The two first fight were done quickly.

Reyn's and Xaros's strength was absurd against a general and an orichalcum adventurer, they probably lost their pride too as they were defeated that easily.

10 minutes got by for the 2 fights.

It was now the turn of the two Gods to fight each other.

No one could hide their excitement for that fight.

As the horn sounded for the last time, the fight begun.

And they both used spells from the start.

"They're going to die if they're casting high spells in that fight !" The prince couldn't hide his worries either.

While Reyn cast Fire, Xaros cast Wind.

They both launched their spells at each other and while the fire and wind clashed against each other, hot air began to spread across all the stadium as both spells were sent towards the skies.

They both took katanas and charged at each other.

The same thing happened than last time, they clashed, blocked, deflected every hit, every one of them being at a tremendous speed.

But instead of being just a close combat fight, it changed.

All spectators could see portals appearing in the air around the two.

Reyn used the portals to teleport behind, before and to the sides of Xaros at light speed while Xaros used shadows to block his multiple attacks at the same time.

"Woaw, besides the Royal elements, one has space magic and the other has dark. They're quite the match."

Yuna, Yaren's sister said, impressed by the two while all of the others were also amazed at them.

Their fight lasted already 20 minutes and not even one of them was touched even once by the other.

They both took their distance and started to cast magic that would probably exhaust most of the people magic in one go.

Behind Reyn was Light Arrows, Blades and Beams while behind Xaros were Dark arrows, Blades and Beams.

"They're casting multiple magics at once !"

No one could believe it. Casting multiple spells at once would exhaust your mana at a massive pace, it was also almost impossible to know how to do it. Only the greatest mages knew of it but they rarely used it because their mana was too weak to handle it.

"They're really going to die now !"

The prince started to panic at this view. A number of 300 projectiles for each were created at once, if even one of them was touched by one of the spells, the others would follow and death was near it.

Yet, they launched all of it.

It was like watching the apocalypse, the place went entirely white and black as all the spells clashed against each other while the stone floor was barely standing the strength of it all.

As the dust cleared, the two shadows were still standing.

But the two had already both slashed their katanas at each other , both with diagonal slashes.

Only one slash.

Only one and both katanas fell to pieces at their feet.

The fight was over.

But none of them was even touched during the fight.

As everyone was dumbfounded, they both smiled at each other and did what people call a 'handshake' in most kingdoms.

"I want them."

"I also brother."

The two Yarusen's Royals said hastily after having recovered.

The four Royals descended on the stadium as soon as the dust was completely cleared.

"Greetings both of you. I am the first prince Yaren Sen Yarusen. I saw your fight up there and wanted to ask you two something."

"Greetings, I am the first princess, Yuna Sen Yarusen."

The youths turned to the Royals and immediatly saw Eleanora and Iris.

They bowed towards them, right hand on their chests before answering.

"Greetings Prince et Princess. I am Reyn Kirae and this is my brother Xaros Kirae."

"Nice to meet you."

The prince's eyes were glowing as if they found two treasures, he looked like a kid having found the atomic theory.

"For this once, we will have two victors since you apparently don't seem to be able to win against each other.

I also want to reward you with something for this performance, what would you want ?"

Reyn had a little smile visible on his face.

"Nor fame nor money. We just wanted to fight a little with my brother that's all."

"F-Fight a little ...?"

The prince was at a loss for words.

"Well, would you at least let me reward you with something ? It would be a shame to let you both go after this nice little show !"

"Continue, your Majesty~"

"I would like you to come to the Academy, Reyn and Xaros Kirae."

This request was completely not what Reyn would have thought as he coughed a little, chuckling.

"You know that I don't have to learn magic Prince Yaren."

"I don't want you as a student, but as a teacher."

"Wha-"

"You could even live in the castle. We already have some guest rooms fully equipped.

And by teacher, I mean, you'll not be obliged to do classes, you could just watch some and act more like an assistant or a guard.

I want you both to show the students your strength, and you could still answer some questions."

This time, Reyn was the one at a loss for words, he didn't really want to be a teacher but it would guarantee him a place comfortable to stay, a 'job' and alibi for his human form. He couldn't think of better. He would also have the favors of the prince. There wasn't much downsides to that.

"Well... Alright then. I won't do classes but I'll work at the Academy."

"Then, from now on, you will live in the castle. I'll wake you both up tomorrow for your first day."

"Ah- There's also someone with us, is it fine if she lives in the castle too ?"

And that was a question the prince didn't excpected to hear either.

They both seem to surprise each other pretty quickly.

When Reyn said that, a pretty little girl in a dress came at the center of the stadium where everyone was talking.

"She is Elizabeth. We're cousins and we're travelling together in the Yarusen Kingdom."

"Well, that's fine by me. Now, follow us, we will go to the castle."
