10 A Devil in Heaven and an Angel In Hell

"Just gives us the weapons," Lilith demanded which earned me a frown.

"So the foolish deem themselves a king when they only serve to jester an emperor," I joked before chucking them weapons. I was tired of doing all the heavy lifting time for me to spend time talking with an angel. Just like the old villain saying.

"Go on now," I commanded shooing them off. To be quite honest I didn't really care if I received an apology they can handle themselves now. Though If they ever needed my help my foot would be jammed into each of their asses even bricks... though he's probably the least I hate at of all em.

Though my mannerisms changed I decided a change of words would help brighten my vocabulary when I talked to her again. Laying back in my car I chilled staring if into the skies.

"Hey Angel you there?" I asked waiting for a response.

"Yeah," Angel replied.

"That was pretty fast falling for me already," I flirted.

"With you not in a million years," she quipped.

"You ever adored the stars?" I wondered quickly cutting our jokes and earning me a sigh from her.

"I've never seen the sky for a long time," She lamented sadness being heard in her voice.

"That's... Unfortunate maybe I could help you see it," I smiled.

"I... don't think that'll ever happen," She sighed he sadness being leaked out towards me.

"Where ever you are I'll save you," I exclaimed.

"You say I've fallen in love with you but it seems it the other way around," she teased.

"Maybe," I smiled.

"Wha... um...," Angel flustered.

"Just like the beautiful star in the sky that I wonder where you are," I smirked I knew my flirts were cheesy but... I didn't really know how to express myself else wise.

"I'll always be by your side so... don't worry about me," She sighed.

"No matter where ever you are I'll do my best to find you besides I'm a very cable man," I teased to lighten the mood.

"A man? You're more of a man child," she retorted earning us a laugh.

"Can you see through my eyes?," I asked.

"Yeah, the stars truly are beautiful," she muttered though I could still hear her clearly.

"Maybe one day you and I explore beyond those stars and see the universe together?" I smiled I never truly got close to someone in my past life maybe this life things can be different. Having someone to talk to was always nice.

"Yeah... that would be nice," she muttered again.

"Where are you trapped anyway such beauty such as yourself couldn't possibly survive in this world without being in a safe place?" I asked.

"Yeah im in a 'safe place alright," she grumbled.

"Where?" I inquired my heart was pounding if ai could find out where she was I could save her.

"I'm...," Angel replied before being cut off it seems she was in a hurry from the tone of her voice just who was entrapping her?

"Look sweetie stop focusing on that one vault hunter we're trying to get papa promoted ye hear me? And that vault filled with erdian treasures is what I need so would you for the love of god sweetie focus on the other four we're ready got him down as one of our enforcers plus he isn't even doing anything just what are doing?" Jack yelled his voice piercing Angel's ears who was startled by Jacks interruption.

"Look sweetie we're trying to daddy promoted so I that asshole Tasiter can be removed and out of my life lets try and get their sweetie," Jack commanded before storming off. His vacation had ended and was finally time for him to greet his best friend.

Angel, on the other hand, felt pressured the stress of having to breach through Hyperion security and monitor the four vault hunters had started to drain her. The only downtime she had was when she talked to him. He made her feel safe. Something her father failed to do. It felt as if the walls her father protruded weren't meant to keep her safe but him. Feeling dazed she went back to Kav and stared at the sky for one last time.

"Please save me Kav Nukem," she muttered as tears dripped down her eyes. She wanted to be with him there seeing the sky for the first time for so long. Not just through his eyes but hers. The suffering the loss the hate it all started to sink in. The pool of hate and despair had finally started to leak but out of all anxiety and self-hate that blew through her mind one statement could be heard on the other side.

"I love you, Angel," Kav muttered unconsciously his lack of movement proved otherwise.

"Me too," Angel muttered as she smiled. It was something she had been doing lately something she finally had the feeling to do and all stemmed from him.

To her, Kev was the knight in shiny armour she needed though she felt that she truly would be not able to see the stars though hope still shined in her eyes.
