Ch.1 Faded Memory

Late into the night, Streetlamps flickering, a fog surrounds all in a mysterious gray glow, and then it appears.

A humongous fog covered shadow the size of a car, hunched over smashing its thick heavy fist into the ground, bright crimson liquid splashing its way out between the gaps in its thick, scarred fingers.

Thwack

A sound rings out, similar to a sack of thoroughly soaked clothes being thrown onto the ground. A shiver echos throughout your body as the arm slows its pounding, the streetlamps pausing their flickering as if to share the nightmarish scene to the rest of the world.

A pair of bright yellow predator-like eyes stare at your direction, Glee filling its' eyes. happy to have found a new toy wander close.

The flickering streetlamps surrounding it shatter, a shower of glass shining with what light was leftover for what seemed like an eternity, allowing prying eyes to see a pale green monster, the ugly jagged yellow bloodstained teeth, giving a crooked smile towards all, and what you can only assume to have been its previous toy on the ground as you look down, now nothing but rags and blood.

The lights flicker once more and then nothing, Total darkness. Only you and it's sickeningly yellow glowing, hungry eyes. Your heart starts pounding with fear in the absence of light.

Your mind freezes, your body shakes, your natural instincts tell you to run, but the thought of that 'Thing' still somewhere here in the darkness keeps you frozen.

Until it makes a noise, a soft crunch of glass. It's starting to move, it wants you. It wants to have you, to let the sight of it before the darkness be all you have in your mind.

The very image of it in your mind seems to laugh.

its cracked lips widening into a horrible smile

taking pleasure in your thoughts turning against you.

Your legs feel as if they've been tied to concrete blocks. You stumble back, falling onto the hard asphalt, the broken lights flicker once more, jumping electricity now having taken its place, lighting the monster in its twisting shine, enough to free its face from the dark. It smiles, the horrible, decayed yellow teeth showing, the stench of its breath, its rancid breath filled with the scent of death and rot spreads across the street.

Unable to take it, you scramble to move your legs, struggling to stand up, not wanting to be near it any longer.

The ground shakes! The asphalt cracks. The green skin terror laughs deeply as you stumble back onto the shattered street, the sharp fragments giving you a moment of clear mindedness as you yell out in terror, running into the fog. Anywhere was better than being there.

Whatever pops into my head I'll put in the story. well whatever works with it at least.
