7 Chapter 6

*time skip to the day Endeavor is planned to be attacked*

First POV

After that eventful encounter with the two pros a couple of days ago, I've been more careful especially since they always came towards evening when my shift ends. I doubt they think I'm a suspect or suspicious, but you can never be too sure. It was currently 8:00 pm and I was currently putting on my vigilante costume. I secured all the knives and needles in place. Ten of the needles were small and silver, those were covered in the sedative while the eleventh was coated in a potent handmade poison. The eleventh needle was longer than the rest and was golden. After securing everything in place and putting my mask in the hoodie pocket it was 9:00 pm and I was ready to make my way to the Todoroki residence.

It was about 9:58 when I got there. My plan was to go in through the back sliding door since I noticed that they never lock it and make my way to Enji's room. I've been observing and watching his behaviors for years now and he is always either in bed or asleep but 9:00 pm. So, I was going to sneak in, carve a letter Z into the wall, stab him with the needle and get out as fast as possible with the ODM gear. Of course, I know that the other heroes will most likely interfere so I brought many needles in order to knock them out and get them out of the way.

"Hopefully this will run as smoothly as possible," I thought. Even though deep down I knew it wouldn't.

Aizawa POV

Even though we didn't know the specific time that the villain would attack we knew that it would be today. The other heroes who were at the meeting and I were all in our hero costumes, ready for them to strike. Well, all of us except Allmight, that idiot already used up his time during the day so he had to sit this one out. Thinking of what would be happening today put me on edge, I can't imagine how Endeavor feels right now. Sure we put our lives on the line daily, but this is different. He's being specifically targeted by one of the most ruthless and most popular villains out there. All the heroes were scattered in and around the residence while Nezu and Tsukauchi were stationed in another building about a block away from here. The day before, we placed cameras all around and inside the house making sure there were absolutely no blind spots and were well hidden. They were constantly looking over the cameras and would give the signal to move in when the time was right. Today could be the day we finally capture The Zavage, we aren't taking any risks.

It was currently 10:00 pm when we heard Nezu over the communication devices in our ears, "We see movement in the backyard of the house. Proceed with caution and be ready to move in on our signal."

After about thirty seconds we heard him give the signal, he yelled into the come, "Endeavor's bedroom move in now!"

We all rushed in and surrounded Zavage who was standing in a defensive position in the middle of the room. Endeavor was standing back while Hawks, Mic, and Nemuri were standing protectively in front of him.

I saw the familiar glowing mask and said, "Zavage surrender to us now and no one gets hurt."

First POV

The heroes surrounded me and I was met with the familiar faces of some of the strongest heroes there were. Aizawa was the first to speak up, his hair was floating so he was obviously using his quirk. I felt a small flicker, kind of like the flame of a candle go out. In an attempt to see which one of my quirks was deactivated I tried to absorb some emotions, but it didn't work.

I smirked under my mask, "Awe, well then you should probably call an ambulance, but not for me," I said, making my voice deeper like when I first encountered Eraserhead. I kicked up some dust that was laying around and focused the majority of it towards Eraserhead. Once I saw his hair fall, I continued, "because you all have failed the vibe check."

I quickly absorbed the anger from the flame hero and punched the floor using the strength buff I have from my quirk. All the heroes lost balance so I took the opportunity to throw my needles towards the heroes. Eraserhead, Best Jeanist, Mirko, and Edgeshot were the only ones who managed to dodge. While Hawks took the needles for Mic and Midnight, saving them both. I gritted my teeth, "Guess I'm gonna have to fight after all." I thought to myself as I got into a defensive position watching their movements.

"Mirko, Jeanist get all the passed out heroes away from here quickly!" Eraserhead ordered.

She did as he asked and quickly grabbed all the heroes and lugged them outside with the help of Best Jeanist. I didn't want to attack now cause then I might hurt the innocent heroes that I knocked out which I don't want to do.

"I'm only here for Endeavor, I don't want to fight any of the rest of you," I shouted in a deep voice.

"I'm sorry, but we aren't going to let you kill him," Eraserhead stated coldly, eyes focused on me.

He was the first one to attack while Edgeshot was waiting for an opening and Mic and Midnight continued to protect Endeavor. He delivered a series of punches and kicks towards my torso and face. I continued to dodge trying to figure out what his rhythm was. When doing anything people have rhythm whether it is something normal like walking or fighting, there is always a certain pattern of how the person moves and their timing. As he threw a right hook towards my face I found it, quickly I ducked down and changed the rhythm of the fight throwing him off. As we exchanged blows, I kept changing my pace making sure I was the one in control of this fight.

Soon, Edgeshot joined in. He could barely use his quirk so he came at me for close combat fighting. The two worked in tandem, working together seamlessly, adapting to each other's fighting styles. I have to say even though these two didn't communicate at all during the fight, give signals, and for the fact that they rarely work together, they were surprisingly in sync.

We kept going back and forth until I was starting to lose control. Their speed quickened and they kept getting in more and more hits. I was getting overwhelmed. "Dammit," I cursed under my breath. I was starting to lose ground as I got pushed further back, I needed to turn this around, or… suddenly an idea hit me at the same time as Eraserhead's fist, ouch.

If I couldn't get a clear shot then I guess I'll have to time it perfectly. I backed up and in that quick second I threw the poisoned needle towards Endeavor, however, it was blocked by Midnight's whip as she swatted it away causing it to fly to the floor. I groaned, guess I'm gonna have to go old school and use a good old handy dandy knife. I rushed forward, maybe they would think I'm going after Eraser, and in the last second I took one of my throwing knives, I acted as if I was aiming for Eraserhead, but at the last second, I shot it at Endeavor using more of the strength from the anger I absorbed earlier. Making it fly at incredibly high speeds. On instinct, he tried to use his flames to melt away the knife and doge. But as he shot out his fist no flames emerged. A look of terror crossed his face as the knife was lodged between his eyes. Red blood flowing down his face, then his body fell.

"NO!" Eraserhead shouted as the others could only look in horror. The number 2 hero was dead.

I smiled and giggled a bit. "Now I just have to get out of this predicament." I thought.

While they were preoccupied with staring at Endeavor's corpse I shot the wires of the ODM gear out through the large window that had broken during our fight. I zoomed from house to house and jumped from roof to roof. Sadly, I had to cancel my vibe check quirk cause I was starting to get a splitting headache, and blacking out right now would not be good. My legs carry my half-dead body back to my abandoned building, I checked the surrounding buildings and shops for any heroes but they all seemed to be back with the corpse. I stumbled into my room, pulling my costume off, I made a mental note to check myself for bruises in the morning. Then I collapsed on my creaky old couch, I took off my mask, but wasn't bothered enough to take off my outfit deciding to just do it tomorrow.
