4 Chapter 3

First POV

I plopped down on the moth-eaten couch eating my sad microwaved ramen and turned on the old TV. The colors it shows are bright and the volume high, so different from the dark silence of the night. I grabbed my remote from the small sad table next to me and switched on the news, a smile stretching across my face as I see what's being reported.

"Breaking news," the tv bellows at me, "Villain and killer known as "Zavage" strikes again."

"Good," I think happily, "they found it."

I sigh thinking back to this morning, the sweet scream of that sewer rat of a human being, his blood coating the dirty alley, and his pleas for mercy.

"P-Please don't do it," he pleaded as he tripped over his own feet and grunted as his back hit the cold wall behind him, "I-I have a family, please don't kill me! I can get you money! Yes, more money than you could ever want!"

"Mercy is what you denied those girls you raped and murdered, you won't get any from me." I hissed into his ear before finally slitting his throat.

I lean back, the couch creaking sadly, another night spent like the rest, in my abandoned building, on my couch, in front of my dirty old tv. The news reporter kept going on and on about the man I killed. He was the CEO of a pretty popular company so I guess people were more shaken up. He did deserve it though.

*time skip*

I must've fallen asleep on the couch cause when I opened my eyes, you could faintly see light behind the boarded-up windows. Honestly, I'm lucky enough this place has running water, plumbing, and electricity even though it's all grimy and disgusting, and the water is always cold, it's enough, barely. I sigh, standing up and stretching my stiff muscles, pulling off my black clothes still crusty with dried blood.

"I guess I'm gonna have to do laundry, again," I said while sighing. Seriously I have to do laundry so many times a week to keep my vigilante costume clean. The news and people always call me a villain, probably cause I kill, but I mean no ones gonna miss those scumbags anyway.

I look through the pile of clothes next to my couch, thinking about my next target. He was a popular mob boss in the underground and is a movie producer as his cover/day job. Now he is in the deep end. He's involved with human trafficking, drug dealing, child trafficking, and a whole lot more. His name is Jeremy White, a foreigner, and his quirk is supposed to be called Distraction. I guess it's kinda like squid ink almost. A dark murky mist comes out of his pores and makes it so you can't see him at all. According to my information, he should have a meeting that starts at 1:00 pm with the rest of his production crew That ends at 5:00 pm. Good, I'll have time to do my laundry.

I glanced at the small clock hanging on the wall, it read 7:37 am. I grabbed my vigilante costume, a bucket, some soap, and water, and got to work. It took forever to get all the blood out and I mean forever. By the time I was done 3 hours had passed. Seriously, I have to start killing people less violently. Enough so they suffer a bit, but at the same time so I'm not drenched in blood. Thankfully it's all black so it's not like it's going to get stained, but it's still annoying to clean. Don't wanna smell too much like iron or it'll give me away to trained people like that underground hero Eraserhead, cool guy, pain in my ass though. He's someone that isn't corrupt so I actually wanna keep him alive. Plus he seems useful. My vigilante costume consists of a thin black bodysuit I stole from the police a while back. It's made so you can't penetrate it with knives or bullets which is definitely useful. Over that, I have black jogger pants with some compartments on the thighs. The left thigh compartment holds a sharp dagger while the right holds five needles with a potent paralyzing drug. On the torso, I wear a slightly large black pullover hoodie with a red Z on the front with different hidden pouches and compartments to store throwing knives. Whenever I kill someone I give them Z or "Zavage" on their forehead using their blood so the media knows who did it. On my feet, I wear black combat boots with bright red laces and retractable knives in the souls of the shoe, designed and made by yours truly. And to top it all off a purge mask. It's a mask that covers my whole face with wire forming the shape of x's over the eyes and mouth. I even installed LED lights in them so they glow a light electric blue. All in all, it's a pretty nice and great costume if I do say so myself.

I hung up the wet clothes in an area of the building where the sun shines through to make the drying process faster. Today was Sunday which meant I would have to go to work tomorrow which I really don't want to do. I groaned as I sat back down on the couch wearing some grey sweatpants and a navy blue t-shirt. I looked at the time 11:03 am. Well, I guess all I can do for the time being is go over my plan and wait. This is gonna be a long couple of hours.

Aizawa POV

I walked through the police station sipping my coffee, I was called here for Case: Zavage although I didn't want to come I was forced to by Nezu. Honestly, that sadistic whatever he is can be scary sometimes. He can even make me shiver. I made it to the designated conference room and as I entered I saw detective Tsukauchi standing at the head of the table standing next to a projector accompanied by three others sitting on the left side of the table.

"Hello, Eraserhead I am glad you could join us today," Tsukauchi greeted with one of his usual smiles.

I hummed in response and I sat down on the right side of the table and continued to sip my coffee. He handed me a file labeled CASE: Zavage. The file itself is pretty thick, but that was mainly the victim's profiles. The profile we have on Zavage is close to none. We don't even have gender or anything specific. Just a blurry photo from a security camera, their height, and weight range. Not even the weight, the weight RANGE! The saddest part about it is we've been working on this case for two years, TWO! Whoever this person is sure as hell doesn't want to be caught.

"Okay everyone let's get this meeting started," Tsukauchi began. He clicked the button on the controller in his hand and the slide changed to the blurry image that is in the file.

"As you know this villain has been going on a rampage for over 2 years now."

We all slightly nodded our heads. He changed the slide and it showed the latest victim's profile, "His name is Tetsuya Hitomi, he was accused of rape and sexual harassment on two women and one boy. He was supposed to have his trial a week from today, but as you can probably see that has been canceled," the slide changed once again and this time it showed all the victims to fall at the hand of Zavage. All 248 of them.

Tsukauchi's face fell dark, "Well there is some commonality we can definitely conclude from all these victim's and that is they're all sinners."
