3 Chapter 2

First Person POV

As I stared at my now ruined home, I suddenly heard heavy footsteps coming up behind me. Thinking it was another hero or a policeman I tensed and got ready to run, turning I saw a large man with an odd-looking mask on his head. He was also dressed very formally in a suit and tie.

"Is he a hero? He doesn't seem like one," I thought as he got closer.

Soon he spoke, "Hello, your name is Hecate Mourningstar, correct?" he asked in a surprisingly calm and gentle voice.

I hesitated before answering, "Y-yes," I stuttered.

"My name is All for One and I am here to help you," he walked closer to the house and sighed before continuing, "a hero did this didn't they?"

I flinched slightly at the word hero, "Y-yes a h-hero did this."

He put his big hand on my shoulder and crouched down to my level. He asked, "Well, would you like to come with me? You could have a home and we are not too fond of heroes either so you'll already have something in common with the others."

"Others?"

"Yes, I have another child that I adopted and his name is Tomura, and a friend that stays with us whose name is Kurogiri. You can think of them as a brother and an uncle if you would like."

I thought about this for a moment before shakily nodding, "Y- yes I would like that"

He seemed happy at my response as he stood up and called someone on his phone. He spoke the name Kurogiri before a black portal made of mist appeared next to us. He put his phone away and told me in the same smooth, soothing voice, "Come on now, we have to meet the rest of your new family"

Then we walked through.

When I reopened my eyes we were in what looked like an older style bar. On the right side, there was an L-shaped bar table with chairs along with one side and shelves lined with drinks which I assumed to be alcohol. On the other side of the room were chairs and tables along with a set of stairs in the back corner. There was also another door next to the bar which I assumed to be a kitchen of some sort. As I took in my surroundings, there were also two figures in the room. One seemed to be made of black and purple mist with yellow eyes, and he was wiping down a glass behind the counter. In front of him sat a boy who looked to be about ten years old and had dry skin and light blue hair.

"I guess the boy is this Tomura person who is my new brother and that misty guy is Kurogiri," I thought.

They both turned their heads to look at me and I shuddered slightly under the gaze of the boy. The man called All for One put his hand reassuringly on my shoulder and said, "Tomura this is Hecate, Hecate this is Tomura," he said gesturing between us, "you two will now be siblings."

I walked up to the boy and waved my hand, still a bit nervous, and said, "Hi, I hope we can become great friends."

He simply turned away from me and said coldly, "As long as they don't get in my way, we're good."

Then it was time for Kurogiri to introduce himself. He greeted in a soft and welcoming voice, "Hello, my name is Kurogiri, yes I was the one who made the portal and brought you here, I am also the owner of this bar. If you need any food or drinks please come to me."

I smiled happily at him, "Okay Kuro!"

All for One then cleared his throat and said to me, "Well Hecate, I couldn't help but notice that you don't have a quirk."

I shook my head sadly, "The doctors said that there's only a small chance of me getting a quirk."

He hummed in acknowledgment, "Well how about I give you a quirk?"

*flashback end*

I shook my head, snapping out of my daze. This cursed week, the week that my family all died and I met the man only to be greeted with pain. I got a quirk out of it, but at the same time, I never wish to go back there. That man was a manipulative prick whose act I saw through, I guess with my other quirk that I was born with. I scowled as I jumped down into a dark ally to go back to the abandoned building I call home. Hecate Mourningstar is gone, all there is, is me and the name I go by is Zavage.
