17 Chapter 16

Midoriya POV

I decided that I wanted to make friends with the new kid, so as I walked around I finally found their dorm, but who came out of it shocked me. I saw Todoroki, I wondered why he was in there, was he upset with them about his dad's death? He didn't seem to upset earlier but it was his dad so it would make sense. Kurosaki scared him, but interested him at the same time, how did they predict what I was going to do? What drove them to becoming a villain? What's their quirk? I decided that I was going to become their friend, but first I'm going to see if Todoroki is ok.

"Todoroki!" Todoroki stopped and looked back at me with no real expression on his face.

"Oh hello, Midoriya." He greeted me flatley.

"Hey, I'm sorry about your dad, are you doing alright?" I asked as we started walking down the stairs, his expression didn't change, those heterochromatic eyes of his blank.

"I'm fine, I didn't like him much anyway." (a/n: the song "hallelujah" has been playing over and over in his head since it happened.)

"What do you think of the new kid?" I asked hesitantly.

"Alex?" Todoroki questioned turning to me.

Wait what, first name? When you think about it Mr.Aizawa and principal Nezu also called them by their first name, "Yeah, I want to try and become their friend, but I still wanted to ask you."

He smiled slightly and ruffled my hair, "Me and them are friends if you want, I can help you out."

My face blushed. His hand feels so nice on my head, "Y-Yeah t-that would be h-helpful, thank you."

He pulled his hand back and muttered something under his breath that I couldn't quite hear

We walked down the stairs and into the common room where a discussion was in full force. They seemed to be talking about Alex and what to do about them.

"I saw we just avoid them until we know they are safe."

"I don't feel comfortable with them in my class."

"Midoriya, Todoroki, what do you think?"

To my surprise, Todoroki spoke, "I don't understand the fear, they said that they only killed bad people right? The way I see it, as long as we don't do anything bad then they have no reason to hurt us."

"But, they killed your dad!"

"Yes they did, however, my father wasn't exactly a good man, he was not someone who should have been respected, and thus I am not angry with them."

There was silence, no one knew how to react to this, not even me.

"Okay, well, Mido what do you think?" Kirishima asked.

"I believe that they are trying to become better, and while I don't fully trust them, I am going to try and become friends with them."

"Then I'm gonna try to be their friend too!" We looked and to my shock it was Denki who spoke up, "It's just as Todoroki said, if we haven't done or do anything bad then they'll have no reason to hurt us. Plus, I'm getting a certain vibe from them that they are cultured in their vines." The last part he said with a sly and cheeky smile.

"You extras do whatever you want, but I'm sure as hell not associating myself with a villain!" Bakugou stated as he shoved his hands into his pants pockets and stormed off to what I assumed was his dorm.

"Well, that could've gone better," I thought. I looked around the room and saw that many were apprehensive. At least there's the three of us.

Denki walked over to us with his hand loosely in his pocket and a smile on his face, "So, are we gonna meet up with the new kid or not?"

Todoroki nodded and we were led to 2F-1, Kurosaki's room.

I knocked on their door and heard a tired "Come in" from inside.

Carefully, I pushed the door open and the three of us walked in to see Kurosaki laying face down on their bed.

"So, what can I do for you?" they said, their voice slightly muffled from the pillow.

"W-We just wanted to say hello, and welcome you to the building," I said hesitantly.

"We? Is there more than one of you?" they said rolling off the bed and standing all in one fluid motion.

"Oh, hello. I'm Alex, don't bother using the Kurosaki, I don't do the whole formal thing."

"Oh, okay, well I'm Midoriya Izuku, but you can call me Izuku if you want."

"And I'm Kaminari Denki, pleased to meet you. How much do you know about "vine"?"

Alex smirked as they looked at Denki, "Ah, I see you're a man of culture as well."

Denki ran over and hugged them, "Yes! Another person with good taste!"

I laughed at Alex's look of shock at Denki's excitable nature. After a little bit though they seemed to relax and just laughed at him. I sat down on the floor and Todoroki took a seat on the bed, once Denki had released Alex from the hug he said, "So you got any video games?"

"Um no, I have that computer but that's about it."

Denki gasped, "LET'S GO TO MY ROOM!!" he yelled, "I have a Pc and a Switch and an Xbox." he was bouncing with excitement at this point.

Alex just laughed and said, "Awesome I've never used a switch before, let's go." The four of us walked up to the third floor, we passed Uraraka on the stairs, she gave us a wide-eyed look and frowned at me when I looked back at her. I looked at Todoroki to see if he had noticed the look, he looked back at as if he had.

I had never seen Uraraka so upset before, does us hanging out with Alex upset her that much? And if even she can get this upset then what about the others?

Questions racked my brain as my head was going in circles. I must've started mumbling cause I felt a hand be placed on my shoulder. I saw Todoroki's face and blush from embarrassment. I really hate it when I mumble. It's so embarrassing.

We made it to Denki's room and he started up the game consoles.

*time skip*

We've been hanging out in Denki's room for an hour now, and Alex has really relaxed, they're actually hilarious and cool. Alex and Denki played animal crossing together for a bit, then we all played Mario kart 8 and somehow Todoroki beat us all?? Right now Alex and Denki are arm wrestling, Alex won three times already but Denki keeps challenging them, It's very entertaining.

"Ugh," Denki grunts as Alex beats him for a fourth time, " Oh come on, one more time."

"Ok, one more, but if I beat you this time then I want to go against Shoto next."

"Fine then I want to go against Mido." Denki grinned at me.

"Ok, Denki I would love to beat you in arm wrestling," I say with an innocent grin, hopefully, that makes him nervous, I'm not super good at arm wrestling, Although my arms did get a lot stronger after my training with all might.

Not even 30 seconds and Alex has already won, wow. Now time for Alex and Sho- Todoroki to go. For some reason, Alex used their other arm this time, it must be tired from all of the matches with Denki, but they didn't seem to have broken a sweat. I'm not complaining though, Todoroki's arm is on my side so I can see all of the muscles in it, his arms are very toned and defined. Wow, it's been a minute already and they have barely moved, I wonder how strong they both are? Oh no Todoroki's arm is starting the go down. "Come on Todo, you got this!" Oh no, did I say that out loud? But his arm is slowly going back up! Yay, he might win!! Oh nevermind. Well looks like it's time for me and Denki to go.

I grinned at him as I sat down, extending my left arm, it's been broken less, maybe that will help? I don't know but both my arms are strong so it probably won't make a difference. We grabbed hands, wow his hands are small, and got ready to wrestle. "1,2,3, go!" Alex said, and I started pushing his hand down. I was surprised by how strong he was, but I pushed harder and with a small slam, his hand hit the table.

"Good job Midoriya."

"Thanks, Todoroki!"
