5 Meeting the Training Partners

Su Muqiu jumped back to get some distance between Autumn Tree and the attacker when they began helping Tang Rou fight back, then started firing, coordinating perfectly with Ye Xiu.

"Was that really the 10th server guild leader? He was pretty good, he should try out for a pro team," Su Muqiu commented as they continued leveling after Plantago Seed left.

Ye Xiu laughed. "That might actually have been a pro player. If I'm not wrong, I'm pretty sure that was Wang Jiexi."

"And I'm Huang Shaotian!" Sleeping Moon exclaimed, disbelieving.

"Who's Wang Jiexi?" Tang Rou asked. Steamed Bun and Autumn Tree nodded.

"Captain of Team Tiny Herb, debuted in Season 3, inherited Vaccaria, is nicknamed 'the Magician' because of his unique playstyle," Ye Xiu summarized for his friend while the others went on about various accomplishments and how everyone who plays Glory should know about all the pro players.

The next day they were again at Boneyard when an assassin ambushed them and started fighting, soon joined by a witch and battle mage.

"What's going on? More people from Tiny Herb? Ooh, nice Vanishing Step!" Su Muqiu commented as he distracted a witch while Lord Grim juggled the battle mage.

After defeating the battle mage, the remaining characters ran away.

"Let them go," Ye Xiu said when Steamed Bun moved to give chase.

Ye Xiu's group followed them to where they met up with two other characters to regroup and hid behind some coffins and tombstones as cover.

Lord Grim ordered the party into a cross formation, while Su Muqiu looked around at the terrain. "That outcropping at 10 o'clock. Cover me?" he said to Ye Xiu.

Ye Xiu nodded, instantly understanding the few words, and looked out to cover Su Muqiu as he Aerial Fired onto the specified rock outcropping to provide support. As a Sharpshooter, he could attack at a distance or a closer range, but in the situation, they already had enough melee characters, so it would be better to cover the team from a place out of the way.

"Witch 1849,3013, Assassin at 1845,3024, Battle Mage 1856,3007, Ghostblade 1861,3022, Sharpshooter 1858,3011" Su Muqiu reported from his vantage. "I don't think they see me."

"Ok, keep quiet for now. Everyone, get ready, towards the assassin," Ye Xiu told the team.

Watching the enemy, Su Muqiu saw the gunner start to move to fire a testing shot. "Gunner now" he sent succinctly, instead of giving away his own position by attacking. Ye Xiu knew what he meant, and shot Fallen Angel's head just as she moved out from the cover of the coffin.

"Shadow Cloak!!" Muqiu reported as he saw the starting movements for it.

"Now," Ye Xiu ordered, apparently to Sleeping Moon, as he sent out a Sword Draw right as the witch moved into view.

After that, the team one by one drew in Tiny Herb players. "Go ahead. Keep the encirclement," Ye Xiu sent to Su Muqiu privately. From this, Muqiu started firing on the poor players in the encirclement, not letting them escape if they ever came close, and slowly helping to drain their health.

"Are you guys really surprised you lost last night? We had the advantage," Su Muqiu said as he approached the group of players waiting to enter the arena. Ye Xiu had called him a few minutes ago, saying that there was someone he should spar with.

"What advantage? We're all good enough to be on a championship team," they wept.

"Numbers advantage! We had six!" Ye Xiu put in. Somehow, everyone had managed to forget that sniper who had made critical shots again.

"Championship team? You guys can't even count properly," Su Muqiu added.

"We—" one of the Tiny Herb players started.

"Ok, ok, let's just start," Wang Jiexi interrupted. "Who wants to go first?"
