7 I’M SORRY… :(

A/N: So I've finally admitted to myself that I'm probably not going to ever finish this. I started the idea because I was sad that Su Muqiu died (aren't we all) and I just don't really have the inspiration/dedication/work ethic/whatever to keep writing it. I'm posting my notes and other scenes/omakes I had written just for fun. I may eventually decide to continue this later, but its probably not very likely, at least for the near future. If someone else wants to pick up the idea here or rewrite some/all of what I have, I would be ok with that, especially since I would much rather be reading this than writing it.

Obviously they get back to the alliance and are successful yay! And muqiu gets to be the pro player he always should have been yay! Ok I need to diverge from canon more this is boring

~

A few months passed in the blink of an eye [<— um no fix this] and Su Muqiu was going to visit Mucheng and Ye Xiu for Lunar New Year. They had been playing Glory every day and giving the guild leaders twice as many headaches as Ye Xiu alone could give them, but visiting them in person would be a nice surprise, especially for Mucheng.

(Much Later…) [pretty sure this scene can't happen anyway… :( ]

Lord Grim: Fixed Field 4, room 2164, password 2164. Come PK

Autumn Tree: Coming. Why now?

Lord Grim: You'll see

Huang Shaotian, after defeating all of Team Heavenly Swords, was, understandably, rather annoyed. He had only come to PK with Ye Xiu, but of course that shameless bastard had to delay as much as possible, probably just for the fun of it. He was probably laughing behind his computer screen at Shaotian's annoyance. Just then another character entered the room, this one a sharpshooter named Autumn Tree. He typed in the room chat:

Troubling Rain: Another one? Fuck you, get the fuck out of here Loulan Slash and bring the rest of your noob friends with you! Ye Qiu, get out here! Come on come on come on! You coward! Even in Fixed Field and you're still afraid you'll lose? Is your condition slipping that much? Is that why you had to retire? Old man, old man come out and PK with me! PKPKPK!!!

Lord Grim: Haha, just one more. My friend needs experience fighting high-level matches. Don't you enjoy PK?

Loulan Slash: He's not one of mine! I'm just watching!

Troubling Rain: Fuck you fuck you fuck you I just want to fight you!

Lord Grim: Just start the match already. I'll come out if you can defeat him.

Troubling Rain: IF??? What do you mean by that? You think I can't defeat some noob like him?

Lord Grim: If you can't, you don't deserve to fight me. After all, I wouldn't want to traumatize you like everyone in the tenth server.

Troubling Rain: How can you compare me to those noobs? I'll show you! Start the match!

He said this, but Shaotian was the one too busy typing in the chat to remember to click "Ready" and start the match.

Autumn Tree: Waiting on you :)

Troubling Rain: Fuck you!

With that, Shaotian decisively clicked "Ready" and the match begun. (Maybe insert action sequence??) Shaotian charged toward Autumn Tree, initiating with a Sword Draw when he got close. Autumn Tree sidestepped it, shooting back. While he did this, Shaotian began narrating his moves in the chat box.

Troubling Rain: Sword Draw

Troubling Rain: Triple Slash

Troubling Rain: Falling Phoenix Slash

Autumn Tree: Thanks for the warning

Troubling Rain: Upward Slash

Troubling Rain: Watch my sword

Et cetera…

Autumn Tree: Is there a point? You could make much better use of your hand speed

Troubling Rain: Hahahaha I'm distracting you, that's the point! You could also use your hand speed better if you didn't respond, see? See? See? It's working, it's working!

Autumn Tree: Yes

Autumn Tree remained silent for the rest of the match to prove his point. Although Huang Shaotian was obviously the better player and definitely held an advantage for most of the match, Autumn Tree was just barely able to keep up and so Troubling Rain's health decreased almost as quickly as Autumn Tree's.

"If he could just get lucky, he might be able to pull off a win," the spectating pro players thought.

As they went back and forth, Autumn Tree eventually got Troubling Rain into a combo. Huang Shaotian, ever the opportunist, was used to waiting and patiently watched for an opportunity to escape. There! After 16 combos, there was a slight opening in the chain. Not obvious, but not too small to be impossible to grasp. For Huang Shaotian, if he couldn't use this opening, then he didn't deserve to be called the Sword Saint. He used his hand speed to execute a Guard in that small opening, blocking the 17th hit, then immediately followed up with a counterattack. Autumn Tree tried to get him back in the combo, making a mistake and ignorantly walking into a wonderful opportunity for his opponent. The pro players collectively groaned at this Autumn Tree's stupid mistake. Shaotian used this opportunity to directly use a high-level skill. Level 70 Ultimate Skill – Formless Phantom Blade. With this skill, he managed to get in managed to get in 12 combos—almost his limit, before Autumn Tree finally managed to get out of the way with a short Aerial Fire—oddly his opponent hadn't even tried to react at the beginning. However, during this combo, he managed to take out nearly a third of his opponent's health, more than making up for the 5% lead he had obtained after his own combo. With such a large lead, Shaotian defeated his opponent without any suspense.

After the match, Su Muqiu immediately messaged Ye Xiu.

Autumn Tree: What was that skill? You haven't told me about it. :'(

Lord Grim: Oh…I haven't? Well, it's level 70. You're only level 51, so you don't need to know it.

Autumn Tree: *flat stare emoticon*

Lord Grim: Busy.

Lord Grim started the match.

Season 10 All-Stars Rookie Challenge

"I'd like to challenge my friend, Ye Xiu." Su Muqiu said.

"Really? You too?" Ye Xiu yelled across the stage incredulously, barely having left the player booth.

"I wouldn't want to break your streak," he said with a wink and a smile. "And…I know this is untraditional, but would it be possible for us to use each other's pro accounts for the match?"

"Um…" the announcer stuttered, unsure of the rules regarding this. After all, it wasn't like anyone had ever tried to do this before.

"Huh?" Ye Xiu said.

"What? I'll never get to use Lord Grim for a real match," Muqiu defended.

(or they arrange it beforehand and Ye Xiu goes up to greet the rookie (and tease him) and they subtly switch account cards without telling anyone. Outrage ensues when it is discovered that they are playing each other's accounts)

"and you better not go easy on me like those other matches," Su Muqiu said.

"haha, just saving up my energy for you" Ye Xiu replied.

"Don't have that excuse when I beat you"

"Everyone better remember that when I win, I already fought [??] other matches today …and I'm not using my main account"

"How's that your disadvantage? I'm the one who should have no experience playing an unspecialized."

"Yeah you do. Second server"

"That was over ten years ago"
