Chapter 2

Blue's POV

I don't know what Grace's problem is. It's like one day we were hanging out then, the next day she is cold to me.

Sometimes she is confused about what she is even mad about.

Maybe she is on her period. I heard that being on your period gives you mixed emotions about everything.

Oh, I can't wait till Violet gets around that age.

I was currently making sure that all my answers were decent and correct on all my homework, then stuff them in my backpack, pulling it over my shoulder.

Leaving my room, I went downstairs and into the kitchen where my mom was wearing one of her business attire and Violet was singing a song to herself while she ate her eggs.

She perks up when she sees me. "Hi, Blue!" She gets up from her seat then tackles my waist. Picking her up, I sat her back down in her seat before giving her a kiss on her forehead.

"Blue can you play with me?" She eyed me, giving me the puppy dog eyes again.

Sighing from my little sister's adorable face, I had to decline. "Sorry Vi, but I have to go to school, but I promise when I get home we are going to play all day long!" I tried to cheer up and it worked.

"Okay!" She piped, turning back to her food.

Walking over to my mom, I kiss her on the cheek. My mom was a single mother ever since my dad left us when Violet was born.

I don't question her about why he left us because it isn't my place to bring it up unless she is comfortable talking about it.

I will wait for her when she is ready to talk about the situation. I'm just mad that he left Violet and he didn't get to see his daughter when she was born.

I don't remember much because he left when I was 13. My mom and dad used to fight a lot and they always send me over to my grandma's house.

Then one day I came home finding my mom sitting in the dark with a blank expression. She told me to never talk about my dad again and that's what I did.

"You are going to apologize to Grace." She eyed me while sipping on her coffee.

Why should I apologize for something I don't even know what I am apologizing for?

"I mean it Blue she is a sweet girl and I want you to pay more attention to her." She told me as if she read my mind.

There she goes using riddles again.

Groaning in annoyance, I grab a Poptart from the top of the refrigerator. "Fine." I mutter while walking out of the kitchen and she screams have a good day before I left out the door.

It was quite chilly outside and I only had on a hoodie with a thin shirt underneath and my black skinny jeans.

Hopping in my car, I drove off down the street while muttering the lyrics to Can You Stand The Rain by the New Edition.

People would say why do I listen to old music? Well because people don't appreciate the music from back in the days.

Pulling up in the school parking lot, I tried to find a parking spot that was overcrowded by so many people. When I finally found one an all black Mustang zoom's in that spot that I was about to drive into.

"What the hell!" I screech while eying the person that was driving that car and I recognized that face from anywhere.

Mason Samuels

He gets out of his car with his award-winning smile. His brown hair was flying in the wind and his blue ocean eye's sparkling from the sun.

He turns to face me while smirking in my direction. I don't know if I'm paranoid, but I think he winked at me.

I turned around in my seat, trying to figure out who he was winking at and sure isn't me.

Mason walked over to his basketball friends and they greeted him. I don't know how long I was staring at him, but someone honked their car behind me and I drove off to find another parking spot.

That ugly fucker stole my parking spot. Do you know how long it took me to find another one?!

Getting out of my car I press the button on my keys to lock then shuffle through the crowd to get into the school so I can find Grace to apologize to her for something I don't even know what I did.

First, I went to my locker to put all my books in my locker for my classes for the day.

Hearing people whisper about me while they walk by me, I threw my chemistry book in my locker from annoyance. This school is so fucking pathetic.

Someone closed my locker and I eyed the human that was in front of me. He had piercing brown eyes, dark hair with white strands and he had a sharp jawline that could cut someone.

Another person trying to seduce me. "Hey Beautiful, what's your name?" He grins at me and I scrunch my nose at his corny pickup line.

"Hi, my name is no one." I replied, not interested in this conversation.

He dry laughs probably didn't expect my comment. Why was he talking to me again?

"I mean your real name is gorgeous." He eye's me up and down as his eyes trail every inch of my body. Why do I feel like he is eye raping me?

"You're just wasting your time talking to me and I'm not the type of person that is going to sleep with you. I bet you can go ask the girls in the football stadium that waits for the boys to come back there." I hiss at him and he just stares at me with no emotion on his face whatsoever.

"Who said anything about me trying to lead myself on to you? It's good that you're not that type of person to follow what everyone does. It makes you different from everyone else."

I don't know if he's joking or not, but I'm smarter than to fall for his you're different from everybody else card. "Glad that you know that I'm different from anyone else."

He steps towards me where we were inches apart. "Have you ever thought of those people who are willing to get to know you without any sexual altercation? Like me for an example."

His warm breath hit my cheeks as I felt my cheeks heat up. "Even if I was gay which I'm not, I don't let anyone get to know me because I'm trying to keep my distance from everyone else until I graduate."

The boy traces his fingers on my neck that causes an electrical shock on my neck then looks into his hazel eyes that darken that made my heart escalate quickly.

Pushing all these signals of affection aside, I hit his hand which causes him to take a step back on his feet with a smile.

"Just know that you are being blind from the people who are truly trying to get to know you. Till then my love." He walked away, blending in with the crowd.

My breathing was heavy as I wiped my fire cheeks. What just happened?!

The bell ranged for the first period. Great I guess I have to talk to Grace during lunch.

Walking in my Precalculus class which was overcrowded by the one and only Mason Samuels. He was surrounded by a lot of girls and Jock's. "So I was on a yacht with my parents." He told his story about his wealthy parents.

Rolling my eyes, I took a seat in the front of the class, not paying attention to his fascinating story about his precious life.

"Mr. Samuels you can save your story for another time and for the rest of you please take a seat." Mrs. Ducan said to him and everyone groaned while taking a seat.

"I hope you all study your homework real closely because we have a Pop Quiz today." She said grabbing the papers from her desk.

Everyone started to protest about them not doing the homework or about not understanding the problems.

"Why are we having a Quiz on a Wednesday?!" Mason protested. "I thought we have Quizzes on Friday's?!"

"That's a test and the point of a Pop Quiz is to see if you all know what we have been talking about." She replied then glared at Mason. "And if you have a problem you can leave my classroom."

What a dumbass

"Okay, you have 45 minutes to complete─" The door opened to see another teacher ask for Mrs. Ducan. "Please work quietly and If I hear a peep out of any one of you, you are getting 10 points taking off your quiz." She told us before walking out of the classroom.

As if they can make a higher score to get points taking off.

Everyone started to discuss the answers with one another. "Hey, virgin! You're going to give us the answers?" Mason shouts at me from the back of the classroom.

I grip my pencil trying not to make a rude comment but I failed.

I turn around in my seat to face him. "Does it look like I'm a cheat sheet to you? And this virgin got a name." I bit back at him, then turned back around to finish my quiz.

"Does it look like I care and if your name is a color or something?" He replied and everyone started to laugh at his little joke they thought was funny.

"Yeah, but you're such a dumbass to remember it." I said back and everyone Ooo's in unison.

"What did you say to me?"

"Wait, let me break it down for you so you will understand me properly since you're so slow to comprehend."

Everyone laughed at my comment and his blue eyes were now turning into a dark ocean. He gets up from his seat, but the door opens having everyone turn back to their seat acting all innocent and quiet.

Mrs. Ducan eyed us for a second then walked to her desk to look at some papers.

I hope this class can go by fast.

The bell finally rings and I start to pack up. Walking out of the class, someone grabs my backpack then pushes me against the lockers.

I eyed Mason, who looked hella pissed.

Oh, he mad mad?

"You think you can get away with your smart comments?" He growled at me while tightening his grip on my shirt. So I'm supposed to be scared by his threats?

I fix my glasses, not interested in his anger. "Don't make comments and expect me not to say something back to you." I pry his hands off my shirt.

"I'll fucking end you virgin and don't think I won't." He growled at me with threatening eyes. I looked at him while tilting my head from his threat.

"Oh my God, I'm so scared right now. End me so I can never fucking see you again. Matter of fact, why don't you do it right now so you can stop being a whiny bitch about me not giving you answers to a fucking quiz that your slow ass should already know." I respond in the bored tone, clearly over him now.

"You won't last to the end of the year until I'm finished with you and that's a threat." He slams my body into the locker again.

Everyone eyes the scene like they aren't going to do anything about it. Uh hello, I'm getting fucking abuse over here!

"Did your mother teach you to not put your hands on people? That's criminal defense."

"You talking about my mom?!" He shouts, having more people looking our way.

Now did I even say something about his mother?

"And you're deaf too? That's one more thing I can add in your slow category." I should stop talking because he looks like he is about to end my life right now.

The bell rings for the tardy bell and I groan annoyance that this jackass got me late to class.

"This isn't over." He threatens before walking off down the hallway.

Does he think I'm scared of him? Boy did he think wrong. I might be a virgin, but I don't have sex to be known.
