Dragon's Rage

"So, can I get the name of the technique that I am gonna learn?" I asked.

"Yeah, sure. It's called Dragon's rage. It's like the best move that I learn from my sect." Goldy replied.

"Cool. So is it attack type or defense type? You know, as far as I remember, skills are like, divided into multiple branches of attack and defense. So, which one is it?" I asked.

"Neither." Goldy replied.

"What?" I was confused because as I said before I only have knowledge about attack and defense type skills. So I had no idea what gold he was actually talking about, but he is the ancient gold dragon, so maybe he has something else up in his sleeves... At least, I hope that's the case.

"I know what you're thinking." Goldy said as if it's a prelude to some sort of explanation, but before he could do, so I actually interrupted him which in turn pissed him off.

"Dude, you always know what I am thinking. It's not like you have to say that over and over again. So, go on. Say what you want to say." I replied.

"Great! But next time don't try to interrupt me like this, ok? I am trying to explain something to you and it's like you never get what I am trying to say. So, if you are going to interrupt me like this ever again, maybe I might not even explain the stuff to you, so just listen." He gave out a stern warning to which I obliged because he has the power to actually kill me and I really don't want to die.

"Ok, continue with what you were saying. I am not gonna interrupt you anymore." It seemed like he was a bit angry at me, so I don't want to provoke him too much because I think I did provoke in the right amount and if I try to do more, it'll just harm me.

"Cool, then let me tell you about Dragon's Rage. You see, Dragon's rage as I said before, is not an attack type or defense type skill. In reality, it's actually an intimidating skill if you ask me... Well, technically not... But in the early stages you could consider it as a skill that is used to intimidate people.

"There was an intimidation skill in the game?" I asked. I have played the World of Cultivation for years, but I've never seen an intimidation skill in the game. But, then again, he is a freaking Dragon, so maybe it is something exclusive to him.

"No, it's not exclusive to me. Well, it could be because it was my sect's exclusive skill. So now that literally everyone from my sect is dead, it could be considered as my own exclusive skill, so you would be right about that." He replied, nonchalantly speaking about how his sect is a dead one. I believe he has some sort of bad blood between himself and the sect. Well, he did talk about how his sect God was a bastard, so that might be the reason why he doesn't value his sect like the others in this world do.

"Wait a minute! What's this about your sect members being dead? Did you ever tell me that or am I just going crazy? Because the second one is believable, because I am already crazy. So, is it just me, really?" I asked. I don't think that he has ever talked about his sect members deaths when he explained what the Gods were like to me. Like, why would God kill his followers? I simply don't get it.

"Ah, it seems like I haven't told you yet. Well, you see after destroying every sort of evidence of there being an ancient realm, the God responsible for my sect actually destroyed the entirety of the sect because he didn't want someone else to challenge him. He would have killed me too, if he had the power to do back then. But he didn't, so he just sealed me. But I believe that by now he might have gained some sort of power to actually kill me, so that would be a challenge." He replied.

"Power to kill you, huh? Which would in turn mean that he might have the power to kill me... Well, literally anyone in this world currently has the power to kill me, so that wouldn't be much of a surprise but when I get to the ancient realm… If I get to the ancient realm, it would really be a challenge, right?" I asked with a nervous chuckle.

"First of all, you are thinking way too far ahead. You have not reached the ancient realm, so you don't have to worry about that bastard having more power than me and stuff. Remember that you are currently in the development stage, so just worry about that. Secondly, don't you dare underestimate yourself because if you are doing that to yourself, then you are in turn underestimating me which I don't accept. You played tag with your brother, right? You really think like you would have kept up with him if you didn't have any sort of powers? So, yeah it's not like anyone in this world could kill you, because if that was the case you wouldn't have raided an entire sect of its belongings." He replied. While worrying about myself, I forgot to actually think about him. Goldy is the one who fixed my Qi center. So if I am underestimating myself as he told, then I am disrespecting him and his abilities as well. So maybe, I should start believing in myself, at least for his sake.

"Yeah, I understand. But don't you think we are straying far away from our initial conversation? So why don't we just jump back right into it?" I asked.

"This is the usual scenario, isn't it? Whenever I try to explain something to you, you talk about something else, then we actually jump into that conversation and the initial conversation is worth shite. Anyway, about Dragon's rage… I call it an intimidation skill, because in the initial stages that's exactly what it does. It intimidates people. Like, if you learn the skill and turn it on, people will actually get scared of you. So, in that case, it could also act as a bluff when you are actually fighting someone stronger; because of the Dragon's rage, they wouldn't want to fight you, so you will have time to escape." Goldy explained.

"Oh, cool! That would be really handy for me in a fight. But to think that one of your strongest powers is actually an intimidation technique is funny to me for some reason." I replied.

"Yea, I understand why you might find it funny. However, that is not the only utility that the Dragon's rage has. The intimidation skill that I talked to you about is the initial perks of the skill. But once you break through those initial stages, you will actually get to see what the real skill is." He spoke.

"And that is?" I asked.

"The ability to turn into a dragon." He replied with a smile on his face.

"Wait a minute! You became a gold dragon because of THIS skill?" I asked in surprise. I couldn't guess the correlation between an intimidation skill and one turning into a dragon. There has to be some sort of explanation for this!

"Initially one might not see a correlation between the two of them and he or she might think that the Dragon's rage is actually a worthless intimidation skill. However, the sheer fear that's being brought into people's mind is nothing but the fear of seeing a dragon. So basically, the initial stages teach a person how to act like a dragon and the final stages, you actually become a dragon. Do you get it now?" He asked.

"Now that I think about it, I kinda understand what you're trying to say. But I have a question though!" I replied.

"Of course you have! " He sighed. "Okay, what is it?" He asked.

"Isn't it kinda disadvantageous to turn into a giant dragon while you enter into combat mode? Like, your mobility will be greatly reduced, right? So, what's the point of it?" I asked.

"Well, your mobility is compromised as you said. However, the strength is increased by at least a tenfold so that is advantageous! Like, if you have sufficient defense, you can actually withstand an attack and then just rain a full-blown attack on your opponent, and you'll actually win due to your enormous strength, because you are a freaking dragon. However, there's also the option of routinely turning back into a human mid-fight. You can do that, you know? So, if you wanna attack, you can turn into a dragon and if you wanna escape, turn into your human form. It's that simple. If that's how you want to fight then do so. However, You would require exceptional training and control on your skills to do such a thing." Goldy explained.

"I see. So, how am I supposed to train this skill?" I asked, excited by the prospect of turning into a dragon.
