7 He isn't a bad boy

With that settled I head over to the table in my room, pick up a book and pen for writing in case we get any ideas.

I close my door and look over at Josh's bedroom, his door is closed but I can still hear him talking to someone on the phone probably Daniel.

He's so lucky when I was his age the nearest thing I had to a phone was an old toy phone my aunt bought me when I was five.

I quickly walk down the stairs.

My dad is sitting on a couch in the sitting room, going through some papers for work.

"Already going over to Jake's, be back by seven, don't be late for dinner"

"Ok dad bye".

Standing at the front door of the Rakesham's house, I knock at the door and hope it's loud enough for someone to hear.

No one comes to the door, I close my eyes, take a breath and begin knocking again suddenly I feel the door open .

I open my eyes and come face to face with Jake.

I start to feel butterflies in my stomach I just wish I could explain to my body that this was the same Jake who was my best friend years ago.

"Are you going to keep on staring or are you going to come in" he smiles as he says this and not the smirk kind of smile it's actually the nice kind of smile.

I don't say anything and just walk in. I know he's still the same Jake but I can't help but feel weird. I stop and take a look around his house it's really identical to mine just a few differences.

"Wow your house is really identical to ours" I say out loud for no apparent reason at all.

"Yeah I guess it is, we can start working on the project over there" he points to the dining room .

I walk to the dining table and take a seat , he sits opposite of me.

"So do you have any idea of what we should write"

I just look at him and say no

He opens his mouth to speak but closes it , it's like he is looking for the right words to say. Finally he speaks.

"Betty I feel like I have to say this . I'm really sorry I didn't say goodbye before leaving but I'm back now. I know that it won't be easy for us to get back to the way things were but could we at least try to be friends again"

Woah! I was not expecting him to say that. I thought he was a bad boy.

I look up to meet his eyes and his eyes are directly looking at me, he is waiting for me to reply.

I did miss him a lot when he left and having him back in my life as a friend doesn't sound like a such a bad idea, it'll be good to have a friend other than Izzy.

"That won't be such a bad idea but we've both changed a lot,

I don't even have your number"

"We can fix that, give me your phone" I hand him my phone and he presses some buttons and gives me back.

"Look problem solved, you have my number now and I even saved it as the name you called me when we were little"

I notice he saved it as blue, I used to call him that because of his blue eyes and because he was always the blue ranger when we pretended to be power rangers , I was always the red ranger because I loved being the leader.

"Betty , Betty "

"Yh"

"I was just saying something to you, where did you travel to "

"Sorry I was just remembering something . By the way what were you saying"

"I was asking you if there was anything you'd like to know about me, you said a lot has changed and I wanted to catch up, so ask anything I'll answer" he has that smile again and it makes me smile

"Are you sure?" I question

"Of course I'm sure , ask anything but I'll also ask anything"

"Ok deal, so why did you move here"

"I got into trouble at my old school and a lot of rumors started to spread" his smiles fades away a bit but it comes back and am glad to see it

"What kind of trouble"I ask

He combs his hair with his hands.

"It's my turn not yours. Is that Zach guy your boyfriend "

"Huh, what made you think that and how do you even know who Zach is " I ramble

"First of all that doesn't answer my question "

"No he isn't" even if I wish he was.

"How do you know him and why'd you ask" I know that's two questions but I just want to know

"That's two questions but I'll answer it, how do I know him? He came up to me and introduced himself "

"Wait! What, he just came up to you and introduced himself" If I was drinking water this would have been the moment where I spit out my drink

"Yeah he said he wanted to be friends and if we could hang out sometime "

"Wow that's unbelievable, so why did you ask"

"He kept on staring at you in literature class"

"He was" I can't help but blush.

Does that mean he likes me.

Ooh I can already see our couple name it'll be zetty,

It kinda has a ring to it .

"Don't tell me you like him, you can't possibly like someone like him" he frowns and the smile is nowhere to be seen.

"What's wrong with him"

"I don't know I just got a weird vibe from him, I don't like guys like him , they pretend to be good but they're actually really bad"

"Whatever just ask your question" I'm not going to let him spoil my mood

We kept on talking and I found out alot about him, turns out he had a rough time at his old school , he got bullied a lot until one day when he decided enough was enough and fought back anyone who bullied him and anyone who bullied anyone near him but  he didn't just stop at defending himself, he inflicted serious injuries on them. Thus causing the whole school to fear him , and that was when the rumors that he was in a gang started spreading and his school had no choice but to expel him after the parents of the bullies started complaining . He moved here to have a fresh start, and I'm glad that I'm going to be a part of it.

So that's it that's it guys the great reunion of old friends.

But did u realize they forgot about the project.😁😁
