Yh there's my name I'm partnered with
wait what my partner is Brenda. I thought she wasn't going to be in school for a while maybe Mrs Williams didn't know or it a mistake.
It was probably a mistake , news like this should reach the teachers and not only the students .
This project is graded so I might as well meet Mrs Williams for a new partner maybe I'll be lucky to not get a partner and not have a project .
This year is starting off on a really good note . I head into the hallway that leads to the staffroom on my way.
I passed by some students who waved at me , smiled at me and some even fist bumped me the girls looked at me with envy and the guys with want.

As I passed the hallway barely anyone noticed me, it was like I was invisible
Not that I'm complaining I mean who even wants to be the center of attention in highschool
*Cough* the B's *cough*
Finally I reach the staffroom and spot Mrs Williams on her desk arranging some files .
The staffroom was practically empty most teachers weren't in the room so it was easy to get to Mrs Williams without answering unnecessary questions.
"What brings the two of you here" Mrs Williams asks and for a sec I wonder if her eyesight is bad .
But then I notice that someone's actually behind me and it's Jake
"My name wasn't on the list" he explains
"Oh dear must be old age I keep forgetting to do things," she turns to me "and you" she questions
"My partner on the list is Brenda and she isn't in school"
"I'm really sorry , I've had a lot on my mind. You can just be each other's partners please and save me the stress of regrouping the whole class".

Classes were so boring and finally it was all over, I quickly gather my books and stuff into my bag and search the hallway for Izzy, I don't see her anywhere so I give up and decide to walk home .
I'm just about to text Izzy when I see...

Please no...
Jake running out of school to catch up with me
How do I know it's to catch up with me.
He keeps on shouting my name that's how I know.
Finally he caught up with me
My short legs are no match to his running long legs.
"Hey" he says
I really don't want this to be awkward
"Hi" I reply avoiding eye contact.
Nice one Betty you didn't make it awkward at all.
"So are we meeting at your place or mine", he asks
"Huh", I say with confusion evident on my face
"For the project , the literature project" he explains
Don't you just hate it when you forget simple important things like that.
I mentally face palm myself
"We can do it anywhere "
Truth be told I don't even want to do it...
At all....
"Ok come to my place at four"He says and just walks off really fast.
No bye again.

"I'm home" I announce immediately I get into the house.
"How was school today , did you get to talk to Jake", my dad asks
Seriously dad why must you bring him up,
"School was fine dad and I have a project to do with Jake so I'll go over at four" I reply and run upstairs .
Arrgh I just want to lie on my bed .
I open my room door and admire my room for a little while my wallpaper is white with a combination of different images such as cars, the Eiffel tower, a man on a bicycle and a lot of other random things. In the middle of the room there's a big bed at the back of the bed is a shelf containing some books and photos, beside the shelf is my wardrobe its colour white with images of the Eiffel tower on it, to me it feels like having a piece of Paris in my own little bedroom. The window is opposite the bed and there is a table and the chair where I do my homework but today it isn't only my things that are on the table there's also a person.
"Finally you're home I've been waiting for you"
What does he want , I hope my things are safe .
"Josh what do you want?"I ask
"I need advice on an issue . It's about my friend Daniel"
"Ok ask away"
"Daniel has been acting wierd lately , he doesn't dress well or comb his hair he isn't popular anymore and if I'm seen with him I might not be popular anymore but we have been friends for a really long time. I don't know what to do"
Awwn he needs advice, that's so cute
I'm surprised he came to me.
Okay Betty hit him with words of wisdom.
Here we go.
"Josh having one real friend is better than having a ton of fake friends if this people were able to push Daniel away how sure are you that one day they won't do the same with you. Daniel has been your best friend since like forever . I'm sure you know the right thing to do little bro"
Wow even I'm surprised, I guess the right words just come when you need them.
"Yes Beth I'm going to give up on
Daniel"
"Joshua Wesley Clinton was that what you got from everything I just said"
"I'm just kidding I'll go to Daniel and find out what's wrong with him. Thanks for the advice ".
"Don't mention it , now get out of my room "
Closing the door behind him I take off my shoes and hop on my bed.
I don't know how but I didn't end up with any homework today except for the project I have with Jake .
Speaking of which, what time is it.
I unlock my phone and check the time.
3:45pm.
How time flies.
It's almost 4:00, so I might as well get ready.
Should I change my clothes.
Naa who cares it's still the same day . It's not like I'm going on a date or anything .

So they're first meeting not so eventful right sorry about that.
